Long time ago, when I was watching the originals season 1, what michealson (If that how to spell his name) said to klaus, “A bastard begging for a daddy” hurts the most. Out of everything I heard in my life, I have never heard a sentence that made me cry this fast, and much. It even still hurts my heart when I hear that. My dad always acted like he cared about me and my family. Silly little me. He never cared. He started to abuse my mom in front of me, and screamed at me whenever I made small mistakes. He cheated on my mom, and he still is, and he made my family miserable and depressed. The last thing I remember him saying is that I should kill myself. And that was over 6 years ago. I never want to see him again but I still cry because I miss having a dad. And when other people say how they love their dad and that he's always there for them. Is it bad that I cry still???????

When you have a dad and he leaves but still "wants" to be in your life it's worse than him just leaving. He shows up when he wants and when he could've been with you he stays at his house choosing alcohol. Sometimes I wish he wouldve just left instead of coming back to create the illusion of love.

I have no clue why my "dad" hates my soul ...must be that deep if he not only chooses not to claim me , but decided to make his parents and family treat me like I have the plague . As early as I could remember , I knew these people didn't like me . It started with them coming to get my brother and leaving me all alone to wonder what I'd done wrong to be left behind while he went out to amusement parks and shopping . Then he got cards and money for his birthday , and I never got anything special...just hush toys to hold me over . I hate my dad. I truly hate him. My parents broke up when I was 3, so I didn’t really have any memories of them being together which made it easier for me. But then, when I was 8 years old he married another woman and had a child. Still, he wanted to be in my life and said things about me and the other child being “sisters” and “loving each other” which was totally not true. He wanted to control me and always be in charge. He invaded my life and made sure to be in charge until he dies. So yes, I truly deeply hate him and I wish he was dead. He ruined my childhood and no one should have to go through something like that ever.

And for 6 Years I have done myself the same question . My mom died when I was 17 so I thought my father was there for me and want me but I was wrong. Its not easy to know and accept that your dad dosen't want you.

Your still lucky even if you haven't seen your father once, still, you know he loves you. Well, it's harder when you realise the only father you have in this world doesn't care a bit about you. Sadly, that's me and my father.

All these people had to do was be their father figure, not the silhouette of the father they needed.

As someone who was abandon by his father too, this really gets me deep but over the years I've learned that it's pointless feeling all that hatred n anger n the need to know why he did what he did cause the end of it all it changes nothing. U still had to go through all that pain n suffering regardless of his reason, hating him n being angry at him won't affect him in anyway. What u should do is focus on what u do have n build ur life instead of feeling sry for yourself cause of someone who isn't worth it. What I'll do is move on w my life n help my mother in anyway I can n try my hardest to give my younger siblings a better example to follow. When the time comes for me to be a father I would love my kids like no other father could. I will never have them go through what I had to go through. The pain n suffering would end w me n I'll teach my kids that in life they'll have to earn everything except for their father's love n affection. I'll teach them that no matter what their mistakes they do in life they'll always have their father's support. My dad screwed up my brain and even though it’s almost been a year since I have seen him it still haunts me. He was abusive and every time I see a man with a beard or just resembles my dad I get scared and run the other way. My dad messed me up so much that any male figure freaks me out and I can’t even have a crush on the boys at school like my friends do because I think they will end up hurting me too. Idk what to do but I hope everyone can stay strong and are a lot stronger than I am ❤️

Well. Gee. I am not sure how to start..nor what to comment. I guess I can begin with how much this video is relatable to me. Alot of people out there, like me, don't have a father in their lives. I'm 18, and I know that everyone gives their 'story' in the comments so I might as well give mine. My dad is not dead. He's alive and doesn't give a ham about me. I have done nothing to him to deserve it. He just--isn't part of my life. I have a twin sister and an older brother and after many years of not receiving any child support from him we finally got him to split 200 between us. It lasted a year before he said "hey the girls are 18 so I'll just cut it off." The court didn't let him cut it off completely..and he ended up just splitting 28 dollars between the three of us every month. You can't even support one person on that much money. It's not like he's rich, in fact, he is broke. Well, that happens when you love drugs. Instead of feeling hate for him though, I just feel pity. Pity that he missed out on raising his kids. You can only be a parent if you put in the time and effort and he just didn't. He didn't. I am hurt that he didn't want us but I am used to it. I see him atleast once every 5 to 8 years. My grandparents on that side of the family arent that much better either >_>, they support him even though he does bad things. So dad, although you will never read this, I hope you're happy with what you've done with your life.

In elementary School I had a friend whos father divorced with his mom but he still saw his 2 sons. Because I was friends with the older one I came quiet ooften o them and their father told me once that I looked lie his other daughter and he hugged me. I felt so good cause even so he was not my dad it felt great and I wished my father would have done more for me and my 3 siblings. cause my mom needed to raise us alone and even worked. I cannot understand my father taught he must not care for us and I felt horrible when I found out that my mother divorced my father because he was playing (like in game halls) and spending Money and not caring for us. Cause I grew up believing they divorced because of an Mental Illness. I am 15 now and I was 14 when I heard of that. It was a big shock and since then I really hate him. I cried so many times because he was not there and it hurted me alot and I became a shy Person not talking or saying any wishes only helping and doing what I was told. When I think back I can understand why my mother was afraid to let me go alone out cause if some strange man would have come to me and asked me to follow him I would have just done it like ,,I should not say no it could hurt him" I never wanted to hurt anyone because I knew how that felt. Fortunetly I got Treatment and since grade 7 I would not do something like this. I really hate him though.

Fantastic video. A Masterpiece! The parts with Klaus and Mikael are the saddest in my personal opinion, you did a great job with the quotes and the scenes which are so touching combined with this song. May i suggest you add Smallville's Lex Luthor and his father Lionel in your future videos, I don't know if you are familiar with the show and these two characters but they had a really complicated and sad relationship. Very similar to Mikael and Klaus, only difference is that Lionel didn't actively try to murder Lex, but he had no problem letting him die on several occasions even though he had both the chance and the means to save him, he instead always chose to let things play out and if Lex survived ( which he always managed to do ) he would just say something like "You are a Luthor, I knew you would be fine". He also pretended to care about Lex during the first 3 seasons but secretly hated him and did everything in his power to sabotage Lex's business and to make his life miserable. Later it was revealed why Lionel hated Lex so much and it's just so sad and messed up. Anyway love your work. Thanks for making these videos i really enjoy them.

The fact that some kids don’t have dads in their lives and I do but he wont talk to me. Never went to any parents evenings. Never went to concerts, never bonded, we only argue when we talk, he only yells. He only complains. He showed me that no matter what I did I still was a failure. So when my fiends ask me why I never talk to my dad. I tell them My dad doesn’t wanna talk to me. He lives under the same roof but he’s not in my life. And when I’m old I’ll look back on pictures of my childhood and find only my mum and little brother in them.

You know, to an extent, I can relate to these characters. Having a dad that hated you for not being the son he wanted (I’m a girl) and even when I did everything to try and please him-to he a son like he wanted-it was never enough. He was abusive and terrible, he left when I was sixteen and all he has ever given me was heartbreak and sorrow, especially since I’m not straight and we’re Muslim. Now, I do not trust men all thanks to him. I’m the person I am thanks to him: cold, ambitious, untrusting and ruthless. My mum was great tho, like Frigga, she has always been there for me and still is. She stood by my side and never blamed me. She’s awesome. Childish really, but amazing and strong and I’m grateful she loves me for who I am. Now, I’m 18 and honestly, I feel jealous of those girls with their loving dads but that’s okay, I have my mum and siblings and an amazing friend who cares for me and that’s enough. The only thing I miss is not getting the chance to be a normal kid. People like us are forced to mature before our time-we never get to be children.
