Gills can be used to breathe on land. That's how it is for fish, they can breathe air as long as their gills are moist.

Yeah the problem is more likely the lack of water/constant hydration, not just that they just cannot breathe air, I don’t know, doesn’t seem like Ripjaws just cannot breathe when Ben is him on land, even then he seems more thirsty than suffocating?

My take is That Piscus Volans only need water if they are too young to have their gills developed,or too old to have them properly

To be fair maybe both instances were using technology from the species itself like maybe the Cerebro crustacean asmuth or his bug creatures scanned had a breathing breath on them or showed it to them as a safety precaution after all rad showed up with his Containment suit and that’s said be a creation by his people as a way to imprison him so maybe the Omnitrix and ultimatrix just appropriate whatever required objects they detect on the species there would not be a need for a breathing brace on picuss Volan so it just didn’t come to mind

That is a far more likely answer. The problem with the answer proposed in this video (only necessary equipment for the respective planet) is that there are multiple aliens who get stuff which they absolutely would not have needed on their homeworld. Best example: Goop. The gravity on the home planet of goop is WAY weaker, to the point that they just end up crushed into a puddle under the gravity of many other planets, hence the gravity projector, a tool they would never ever need unless they are specifically off-planet. Also, the idea falls apart once one realises that if the omnitrix gives only what's needed on the homeworld, that would mean that it (and Azmuth) assumes that the no one would ever turn into an alien unless they're on the species' homeworld. Imagine how silly it would be to put into over a million DNA samples, but every time someone is on certain planet, they're expected to only turn into one of them.

They manage to do things like explore what a fully formed petropia would be like, what arburia was like before it was destroyed and it does line up well with what little we know about it from prime, they made primus cool by integrating it with galvin prime, and made plenty of references to prime.like in the galvin b episode where they end it by saying there's a legend that is there planet where to break, the mechamorphs could rebuild it by pulling themselves together, A very clear reference to showdown from ov

@@KirigiriKirin fair enough, tho if you're making a video on an alien that has an AW short, i'd genuinely recommend watching them before writing a theory or something. they take a lot of stuff from prime into account, especially with the classic aliens, like making primus into part of galvin prime, referencing Showdown from OV with a legend that the mechamorphs can pull the planet back together, Giving XLR8 back his visor, making new predators, making arbria very close to what the toy cards and such said it was like before it was destroyed, brining humongo full circle and giving him a weapon like his ultimates missiles and astrodactyl's whips. they don't perfectly line up perfectly, but they do give way better insight and tend to clear up some issues previous explorations of planets brung, and even show us what petropia and arburia could've been like before being blown up.

Well the Volann have super strength and can move around really fast despite heavy pressure weighing them down underwater, so perhaps they are just, as you say, built different!
