Another success story from Wicked Werks! Other than no grab handles, that's a beautiful example of a dune buggy, one of the best I've seen.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful example of a fun bug conversion. They should be proud to own this conversion but i don’t believe i would have waited that long to get the most important system on a driver fixed. They made a great choice in asking for professional help before something serious happened.

That brake pedal rod is always the first thing I check also…. It’s usually always over adjusted.

Thanks for doing this as it applies to so many VWs be they dune buggy or not. I had the same issues on my '63 beetle and it took quite a while to sort out but being methodical and going through the basically simple braking system found all the gremlins. Also, most folks seem to treat the master cylinder push rod as if it were some sort of extraterrestrial technology not to be trifled with but all it really does is set the pedal free play. John Muir - love him or hate him - devotes in his idiot book all of one short paragraph to the thing and describes doing exactly what you did. Be well and thanks again.

Great vid. I’d love to have that buggy, but I’d probably bust my ass getting in/out of it.

Like you I don't really go for these but this one looks great!! I know I couldn't get into it but yes a successful dune buggy. I can understand the appeal.

You might have to re do the start of the video. Couldn't hear what you were saying because of a beeping sound. Great job on the buggy.

Why don’t you do a disc brake conversion, so much better

Because that’s not always in the customers budget.

Could you post a link to the Vintage Speed accelerator pedal kit? Never mind - found it.
