@@kyledowning6108never say never, I've had done all the ee's plenty of times and my 3 buddies have all done their own random solo completions of the maps so never say never, it's just $40 for the game and content:)
The different melees are something I've always wanted, knives are boring. Let Nikolai break a bottle over a zombie's head, let Misty punch them in the face, let Marlton bitch slap them.
I unironically feel so bad for IW as a whole. It really was evident how much effort the devs really put into it. Truly wished they'd done a follow up or something. It had such a unique vibe
They should do a follow up the game had a lot of potential. Plus it also had some amazing boss fights although it did have one of the worse ones but still
it's the one non-treyarch zombies mode that actually locked in regardless of the negative feedback they've received from the powerhouse of all things Treyarch. I always give massive respect to Lee Ross n the dev team for the amount of love they poured into the mode from beginning to end.
At 12:17 idk why people thing rave mode has no upside, you get double points the entire duration of rave mode, that’s why they have the slasher there to keep you out of it for extended periods of time
Hmm how bout the fact you have a insta kill in rave mode if you jump and press melee. That's why at the start it says pushing up daisy's. You push up flowers when you melee after jumping in rave mode
I still hop on this game today, ngl directors mode trivializes it but the journey to get there was one of the best gaming experiences of my life, people sleep on this mode its full of love, and i wish we can see Lee Ross take the helm again
Yeah. Trying to get directors cut with a few of my friends was a ton of fun. We spent countless hours playing this zombies game. And I too still hop on to try the Meph fight. Still a lot of fun.
@@mychealmcknight7963 if we are being honest if you even sprint at all those guys will teleport to you kick you which I believe does double damage and if you don’t have tuff nuff and racin stripes idk even know why you tried. One of the worst special zombies we’ve had ever
Rave mode gives double points so it becomes a risk/reward to do. And I do want to point out, Attack is ugly because it was meant to be ugly. That is the vibe of the map its the 60's and it's an old horror movie monster movie setting.
@@Drrpyit was just for the aesthetic, it was done on purpose and I think that’s fine. It’s not the engine, look at some of the multiplayer maps, for example, turista looks absolutely fabulous.
I think IW does get a lot of love finally. It seems like almost any video about IW now give it the credit it deserves. And I’m so happy because it has always been one of my favorite zombies iterations since it came out
I honestly like Infinite warfare zombies, definitely was unique in its own way, had some great Easter eggs, bosses, weapons and so on! Plus an actual SUPER EASTER EGG! With what I believe is the Hardest Zombies Boss in the entire series so far! I forgot what his name was, Mepho something? Forgot how to spell it 😅
I think a part of the reason why IWZ was so hated was because it looked (on the surface) to have basically copy-pasted BO3, just like IW’s MP did. I even disliked it for a while due to this primary fact since it felt like Infinity Ward had just plagiarized Treyarch to try and cash in. However, looking back on IW, even if I’m not its greatest fan I do think it had a lot of great QoL things that makes it a shame they didn’t get added. Fate & Fortune cards were generally better balanced than Gobblegums, you could buy five perks and return them if you didn’t need them, and the super EE actually had excellent rewards. IWZ was good, even if it’s not my cup of tea, and Lee Ross definitely didn’t deserve the amount of hate he got over IWZ.
I feel like they took the bo3 formula and tried to do it better. The game had a lot of potential I feel like if it hap better maps the game would’ve been overall better . We gotta appreciate they tried and it started out strong with Spaceland.
Rest in peace Paul Reubens, you may have been most known as PeeWee Herman but you also brought us more magic and personality to Infinite Warfare Zombies as Willard Wyler
I hate how much control the zombies content creators had over the mindset of the community back then. They are largely responsible for what happened to zombies post-BO4
Iw is the zombies that got me into zombies. A friend of mine and I beat our heads against our controllers until Mephostopholies was under our belt. By far, one of the best/exhausting times I've had in gaming! I have a lot of love for this game. ❤
Beast from Beyond also ties into the Nightfall map for Extinction mode because it was the name of one of Willard Wyler’s films and it takes place on the same planet. Willard threatens to send Elvira to Nightfall in Attack of the Radioactive Thing, but instead sends the players there instead.
EDIT: Scratch that, Extinction as a whole was a film series created by Willard Wyler and the planet they’re on is the Cryptid homebase. Nightfall takes place in Alaska. 😅
@@psycoskunk9145this is insane. As a kid i played extiniction mode day & night, had hella fun in it. Years later, in middle school, fell in love with IW zombies and played spaceland only, the games whole content cycle. Now, practically 7 years later i returned to IW zombies, it holds a special place in my heart & decided fuck it, lets beat the super EE. And honestly had the best gaming experience i can recall in my life beating the challenge, the slop gaming companies put out these days dont even have 1/10th of the soul IW has. Anyways, suprise suprise, Willard is my favorite character, & the fact its canon he made extinction mode now makes me want to come full circle & beat extinction mode in ghosts a whole decade later 😂😂. My god i feel like an old man. (Im only 20)
We don’t appreciate it because we are a toxic community, just like any other CODs. We usually do this Play the game when release> Hate the game after a while> Go to next COD> Look back on the game we hated nostalgicly
I still play ww2 zombies and many others do i find lobbys easier in ww2 zombies then any other old cod , even the mp in ww2 is insanely crowded somehow i realy hated ww2 on release , and somehow last 2 years i played it daily and realy love the zombie vibe and enemy types it was a good cod like iw they are still in my top 5 cods
I love when there’s a ride to pack a punch like in kino with the teleporter, mob of the dead had the plane ride, and gorod krovi has you literally riding a dragon, so seeing it was just a pretty chill boat ride to pack a punch it made me laugh
I agree with this video! Personal I believe this is some of the best Zombies lineup. I really think the storyline is the thing that gets me hooked having them go into each different movie, and having them connect is pure gold. Not to leave out the pure fun of all the creativity of each map. That said, definitely 10/10. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for putting the music in the description. im tired of youtubers putting the same copy and pasted description without mentioning anything about music
infinite warfare is and will be one of my favorite cods. I grew up on the black ops trilogy but when I got infinite warfare by complete accident because I wanted MWR since it was bundled with iw only at the time, I gave it a shot because I didn't want to complain about a gift I got since I was still pretty young. The zombies was so good it blew my mind, it felt so fluent and the aesthetic of it was so beautiful the game just had something special about it and I still play it to this day one of my favorites for sure.
Something I like for IW zombies is that you can have director's cut active even with other players who don't have it so you can boost your friends through to beat the Easter eggs faster. Also for Rave, beating the Easter egg and available at the start in director's cut is a hidden weapon (if you didn't know about this though I think you probably do) called Smiley which is the Slasher's Chainsaw. It also one-shots him in rave mode and he does not respawn for the rest of that use of the pouch.
Glad you put a spotlight on this game! I’ve only ever played Zombies in Spaceland, so I can’t speak for the DLC, but even ZiS alone is worth the price of admission. For anybody who hasn’t, you should pick up Infinite Warfare to play ZiS and the campaign which are both incredibly fun experiences
The people that hate on the game have either not played it or played a few hours and decided the game is bad😂 Infinite warfare is one of the best Call of duty’s ever… All the little Timmy’s complained it was too futuristic not realising every cod game released after infinite warfare had been complete garbage… People say every other map is bad which is simply not true spaceland is meant to be colourful it’s a theme park and if you watch the storyline of the ee you will realise the Maps go in order of how the world used to be like shaolin people dressing like that in the 80s… rave is meant to be a dark map it’s in the middle of the woods obviously and you spawn in the cabin kind of like a Michael myers style. Attack from the radioactive thing is a very good map as well you start off in black and white like an old TV style and you can turn the power on and get colour quickly and the map is more colourful than spaceland the last map beast from beyond is meant to be hard and not easy to navigate unlike black ops 3 which is too easy
I’ve been watching your content for collectively 3 days, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every single video. The commentary is great and really provoked thoughts I’ve never really thought about or considered; being educated more about the finer details about zombies that I never knew. Great work, Drrpy
I'd argue Shaolin's map is great. It does take an extra moment to get everything open but the underground system was actually very useful and allowed quicker movement throughout the map alongside the portal doors you could open. I like it cause the underground connects the pack room and spawn directly to one of the better training spots in the map, and if you knew the map it wasn't difficult to save downed teammates despite the (what feels like) faster bleedout timer.
22:33 Just a small correction, you need directors cut to even access the demonic secret boss, you unlock directors cut for beating every map which you then replay with directors cut 👍🏻
Shaolin is one of the most underrated maps in zombies history. I don’t think people who say that Shaolins map layout is bad have played the map more than 6 times. Once you learn how the fast travels work, and the areas link together and how the underground works, you’re never too far from where you need to be and the map flows remarkably well. The map has great weaponry with the chi abilities, the nunchaku and the Katana, giving the map tons of longevity and replayability. The Easter egg may have some annoying parts to it, but IMO it’s nowhere near as bad as people say it is. The only really atrocious part of it is the step where you have to run around the map 12 times with the eye and shooting symbols. Other than that, the steps have pretty high ability for optimization and there’s a good balance between challenging puzzles as well as your ability to kill zombies. A lot of people may not like the boss fight, but in my opinion it’s actually pretty solid. It’s extremely challenging the first few times you attempt it, but upon learning how to beat it’s more difficult sections you’re able to pretty consistently beat it again; as any good Easter egg step should be. Then there’s the rewards you get for beating the egg; you not only get the ability to play as the maps celebrity Pam Grier, but you also unlock the Katana, an extremely powerful melee wonder weapon that is also a wallbuy, meaning practically infinite ammo. This weapon can be used in any future game of Shaolin for 10000 points, but you can get it for free if you rebeat the maps egg; not only that, but you also get the rat kings heart, an infinite damage grenade that’s capable of killing a full horde of zombies in a single use, but it can also be used an unlimited amount of times. This egg is easily one of the most rewarding to complete in zombies, and gets nowhere near the recognition it deserves for this. Not only does Shaolin have all of this going for it, but it has yet another main quest that gives a permanent perkaholic upon completion, and process to upgrade your chi ability, and multiple different scorestreaks/buildables. Shaolin Shuffle is one of the most feature rich maps in zombies and I genuinely don’t get how anyone could get bored playing it. My only real qualm with it is the ninjas, which if someone despises this feature I really can’t blame them. Having said that, they don’t bother me all too much, as for starters they don’t start spawning until the 20s, and they dont spawn that frequently until the 40s, and the wonder weapons are all pretty good at one shotting them until the 50s. Worst case scenario, they become unbearable in the 50s, but that’s usually around the time that I stop playing anyway. Not only that, but upon getting the Titan out of the box and double packing it, you get 110% mobility, which effectively counters the ninjas ability to teleport most of the time because you don’t have to sprint to move quickly, sprinting of course being what causes the ninjas to teleport in the first place. Shaolin is a map that requires the player to do some legwork to do well on, but it’s not a matter of the legwork being worth it, it’s simply a matter of if the player is skilled and knowledgeable to know how to work the map to their favor and unlock the plethora of tools it gives to deal with the challenge it offers.
I introduce people to this game all the time, my favorite thing is when i’m streaming for a friend, some random people start watching just because they enjoy IW zombies. Definitely one of my favorite zombies experience to this day
It’s a good video explaining what’s good and bad about the game. Some stuff was missed like the ghost and skulls Easter eggs and directors cut wasn’t locked behind the devil boss fight aslong as you beat every Easter you’d get it and you needed directors cut to go back to the previous maps and get new pick ups (talismans) after beating those Easter eggs again. But the journey to get directors cut was the most worth it prize ever given in zombies and a lot of the variants of weapons give bad weapons a better experience in the long run
I love this game so much i solo'd every map and even solo'd mephistopholes it was pain but i enjoyed every bit of it this zombies will always be my favorite
The desaturated nature of attack of the radioactive thing was a purposeful decision to mimic the distinct washed out look of many early color films. It’s not the best to look at but I love the dedication to mimicking the style of the era
Unfortunately, the fall off at the end is a direct result of people not giving the game the love it deserved. Lee Ross has said they had big plans for Beast from Beyond but the higher ups just wanted to move on and use the resources elsewhere.
It is such a tragedy that IW as a whole has been so forgotten and maligned. I absolutely LOVE the campaign. It's honestly up there in my top 5 favorite COD games and it needs a serious critical re evaluation.
Jeez I remember a few years ago I bought the DLC after owning the game for a good few years. I grinded the hell out of it. Spent about 2-3 months learning all the Easter Eggs. Finding lobbies with competent people and Easter Egg focused guys. Doing it all til I got Directors Cut. Man it was all a blast.
I love iw, try and get on every couple weeks. I know it isn’t what people wanted but after not playing for a couple years up until 2015/2016, i really loved it
this was the very first game i got on my playstation. i'll never forget coming home from school/practice nd staying up late to hit round 100 on spaceland, only to hit 55 and get dunked on by brutus lmao. i was a little kid, so this was perfect for me ngl. as I got older i grew to appreciate the other cods, with BO3 now decisively being my favorite, but Infinite Warfare is always gonna have that special place in my heart as my "first cod/video game ever" (as bad as i wish it were bo3).
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BLOODY GAME SO MUCH YOU DONT UNDERSTAND, I WISH IT DIDNT GET HATE AT THE START BECAUSE THIS GAME COULD OF BEEN HUMONGOUS AND COULDVE EVEN HAD A IW 2 BY NOW.
I agree that this is the most underrated zombies mode of all time, definitely my favorite non Treyarch zombies mode. I never got to play anything pst Rave cuz of a falling out with a friend in high school when this game came out. I’m looking forward to getting this game when it goes on sale to do the Easter eggs
Infinite warfare is my favorite cod game of all time The zombies gameplay and story was fucking amazing The multiplayer was just a blast And the campaign was such a masterpiece
As a guy who grew up with bo2 (I got started in COD late) I LOVE infinite warfare as a whole, top 3 campaign, multiplayer is fast paced and fun, zombies was a breath of fresh air, and I generally think people hate it because it’s different, which seems to be a trend. The only real thing I wish they did with infinite warfare is flesh out the energy ammo type more, make ballistic vs energy have different pros and cons instead of just having slightly different weapon accessories. Of course I’m also a huge fan of Advanced Warfare and wish that movement system would come back so take this entire statement with a grain of two of salt.
Infinite Warfare zombies was beautiful man, I still remember waiting the night Rave dropped and playing it til like 4 in the morning, I even played a multiplayer game or two. You could feel the raw wonder and love for zombies in every single inch of the map. And it was such a unique experience, I expected nothing less because the first map was beautiful but it's probably my most played map to this day
I'm not sure who this "we" is IW is goated & spaceland is peak. I will say that the point at 7:40 (at least in spaceland's case) is solved with certain weapon variants and playing around with some of the other cores (mainly x-quisite) instead of sticking with the generic and overrated wind core. There's literally an SMG that can 1 shot to 42, mauler sentinel obviously exists and a sniper that can 1 shot to 62 without even needing an epic variant. It's just sad that nobody is willing to experiment and instead continue to only play with M1 wind core & kendall. IW is a game that you really have to have some time sunk into before you're able to fully enjoy and I guess most aren't willing to give it that chance Rave mode is useful during the first 10 rounds as you get DOUBLE POINTS while in rave mode so combining with scoped dollars makes for some serious early point gain if you're able to keep yourself in rave mode by listening to the fairies
Infinite Warfare as a whole is underrated, IW had such a gem on their hands.. they just released it at the worst possible time I just got the plat and holy shit I wish younger me wasn’t such a god damn sheep Also massive respect for using Home’s music 😁😁
unrelated note, BO1 zombies is the goat for me. The splash of nostalgia and older graphics, older sounds etc… Bo3 is OBJECTIVELY the greatest zombies mode ever but I still think BO1 is the best for me:
So I keep up with other Zombies Creators in the community as a whole, but I want you to know, I actually have been listening to your videos at work for a few days now lmao. Great content man. GGs
I’ve just gotten back into it because I was so into hype of bo3. It’s a really underrated game and I’ll say it’s got some of best and hardest boss fights
I’ll die on this hill AW zombies is the best non treyarch zombies out there, that mode has so much innovations that we have been seeing spread out throughout the newer releases of cods. AW was the goat
I was 9 when this came out and i would play this with my dad every night after school once he got back from work 😂 was and still is my favorite to play even though in almost 17
Everybody forgets about advanced warfare zombies, and that’s one of my personal favorites especially with how quickly they figured out what worked and what didn’t
Spaceland was such a strong start. Rave was hype, AND so was Shaolin Shuffle. Then there was AOTRT and BFB. Spaceland would be my top map if double papping wasnt locked behind doing the main quest, or FnF.
Thank you for giving IW Zombies its flowers. Zombies in Spaceland is (in my opinion) the best zombies map ever. Especially coming off BO3? They did THAT
I was introduced to this mode in 2023 and unlocking the directors cut was one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in zombies. I’d put it on par with completing voyage of the damned on BO4 (it was only rewarding because it kept crashing at the end)
Director's Cut is just completing the main easter egg for every map(grabbing all the soul keys), you dont need to do the Mephistopheles Fight or beat it to unlock it, you only get Willard in Space Land after beating him
The only game with a super EE that feels so rewarding to achieve and hard to obtain before you actually play the game for some time. IW was a forgotten gem since a lot of the old heads of zombies became adults during its release in my opinion. The music in the maps is amazing too the funk in Shaolin is so so so good.
The thing is they never experienced it like we did and kept on comparing it to bo3 which is the best zombies ever but no zombies will be like that, but infinite warfare zombies was just a moment in life that will never leave us
IW Zombies was heavily underrated. I found a lot of the gameplay enjoyable, when zombies are around you were kinda more slippery and able to escape, the Fate and Fortune cards are fun, and I like how most weapons became unique after upgrading. The DLC maps felt like they decline in quality except Attack of the Radioactive Thing. The super Easter egg was very fun and the final final boss was challenging (boardline bs) but gave that great relief once you finished it. I had lots of fun playing it and I felt that with how zombies has become over the years, a lot of people should give it a shot. It’s a shame that the story won’t see a continuation anytime soon
I feel like if the DLC season had been stronger it’d be remembered more fondly in retrospect. Like no one really appreciated it at the time because they didn’t like the tone, but I feel most people at least can acknowledge Spaceland is an excellent map. The post launch maps just weren’t anywhere near as strong and continually got worse, and it’s hard to remember a whole game fondly for a single map.
Infinate Warfare is one of the best fucking zombie games out there and I played alot of it, the game got so serious I played with my mom and uncle, and it got even more serious when my mom asked my uncle to print out the zombies in spaceland map at work🤣, this game held some of the best memories I ever had, and to this day i play it, I bought it on sale on xbox and i think its still on sale, love this game, GO BUY IT PEOPLE!
As an OG Zombies player, IW zombies was actually surprisingly fun. When the game launched, i didn't play it much but eventually it grew on me. Cards were not as powerful as Gobblegums, but i think this was fine as people relied too heavily on them. (Still remembering people dashboarding to save gums in public). 5 perks was awesome and not to mention IW gave us PHD pretty much lol. Weapon variants were awesome as well..turning some guns into a powerhouse. ZiS was just awesome with the goofiness and 80s music to jam to. I am in the Sentiment that each DLC got worse and worse, but rave and shaolin were really fun. Shaolin and Aotrt EE steps were def tedious to do, and shaolin was buggy a lot of the time. Directors Cut is simply amazing and it added a lot of replay ability to the game, it even made carry people through easter eggs in public matches a lot easier. Infinite Warfare zombies was just a nice change from Trollarch with a different twist on the mode with its "Cartoonish" Aspect. Personally me, i think IW was the last time i really thoroughly enjoyed the Zombies Mode from a CoD.
