Donald Trump is on the cusp of adding billions of dollars to his balance sheet after shareholders of Digital World Acquisition Corp. voted on Friday to merge with his Trump Media & Technology Group. But not only won’t the expected $2.9 billion windfall not help him pay his fines, it won’t even help him secure a bond to cover those fines while he appeals. The timing is a bit off, with the 6 month lockup vs the bond posting deadline, but the real purpose of this is evasion of contribution limit laws: Rich guys buy, run up the price of a shared asset (DWAC). Djt sells his holdings, gets the $, price tanks. Rich guys write off losses. Want a piece? Go short, enjoy the ride.

It’s a dodge around the laws. Rich friends buy, run up the price, djt sells near the top, The price goes south, the rich friends write off the loss. Net is a contribution subsidized by the taxpayers, and pesky laws evaded.

For his “no sell period” he’ll sell the calls as he pumps the stock and collect premiums. Then after 6 months when he can sell, he’ll pump it as he sells his shares to his followers and buys puts. His followers have been the only losers in his grifting. He made money bankrupting his businesses, doing the apprentice an grifting his presidential base. In every other venture he has lost. This is also his way to get money from foreign nationals to cover his legal fees and court settlements. Do what he will do, not what he says, unless you like the color pink around this time next year.
