Not a lot of people make note of this, but despite having his Sith name, Darth/Lord Tyrannus, Dooku seemed entirely okay with being called by his name because he still fully embraced that aspect of his life, as opposed to only using it as a cover, as many Sith before him did. To me, it shows that he always had hope for true balance, despite his bias towards the Dark Side. Proof of the matter is how many times we actually hear or see Dooku's Sith name. I think, throughout Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch, we only hear, read or see him called Lord/Darth Tyrannus a handful of times, as in less than ten. Meanwhile, we see an almost equal distribution of calling the Emperor/Chancellor by both his names. He is either Chancellor/Emperor Sheev Palpatine, or he is Darth Sidious. Conversely, after Anakin embraces rhe Dark Side, he actively tries to kill, erase and destoy any and all mention or knowledge of Anakin Skywalker, and very rarely showed mercy to anyone who even uttered his name, ether out of pure respect or fear, or both. Dooku may not have had the balance he wanted, but he wasn't inherently an evil man. He was a miguided man whose good intentions were twisted and manipulated for Sidious's gain. That being said, the heinous acts he committed can't be forgotten or forgiven. His death at the hands of Anakin was deserved and justified, but not for Anakin's reasons. Or Palpatine's. Anakin was right, initially, that he should have been put on trial for his crimes, and aptly punished, though, the loss of his hands would certainly have been enough punishment from Dooku's perspective.

That's not what balance means the force is inherently benevolent it is light that's what balance means darkness disrupts the light and makes the force unbalanced

Dooku didn't like Anakin, because the young jedy reminded him of himself as a young man. Ironically, Dooku had a tragic fate, instigated by Darth Sidious, much like Anakin Skywalker.

I always thought that. They were rivals across the Clone War because they had much more in common than they admitted., including the need for approval from Palpatine. Dooku ended betrayed and decapitated, Anakin ended betrayed and dead in life, encased in a suit until Luke freed him.

I really enjoy that archetype where you have an antagonist who under slightly different circumstances could have been , perhaps even should have been a or THE protagonist. Dooku, Shane from the walking dead and so on. I think an interesting inversion of count Dooku’s character is Dinobot from the beast-wars.

So I’ve been catching up on the various Star Wars anthology series that have been released, and was very impressed with Star Wars Visions. I know it’s not canon or legends, but I’d love to see you analyze some of the episodes. Season 2 “Sith” has a very clever nod to Tython and its moons, and all the episodes have such interesting takes on the force. But I’ve noticed there’s not a lot of discourse on Visions, or at least I can’t find much, and I think it’s an untapped content gold mine for Star Wars RU-vid.

Another analogy I like for light and dark is that the lightside is a roaring river and the darkside a raging fire. For the river along its bank life blossoms in abundance, but wade to far in it and you will be either weathered down like a river stone or swept away by the current. like the Jedi of the clone wars For the fire when controlled it gives warmth, reveals the truth in the darkness and purifies ore into metal, but lose control and it consumes you and destroys everything it can, like the various Sith empires rise and fall

The stupendous wave I was right and correct in Star Wars Canon the force itself is the real true creator father of Anakin Skywalker who better to train him not the Jedi sith mortis gods or the force priestesses, but the force itself his creator, his father, also the prophecy of the chosen one destined to bring balance to the force never said or mentioned, anything about Anakin being a Jedi or Sith but instead something even much more a force wielder/force user who is not aligned connected or serves those groups, but the force itself and to be clear if Anakin Skywalker was a force wielder he would not need or require a weapon light saver, because the force is his ally, strength and and power that is when full potential Anakin Skywalker could be

As i said before the Jedi and the light side with them being in power for so long became too much of a good thing which became problematic for the galaxy as a result so the Dark Side isn’t necessarily inherently evil it’s individuals like Sidious who abuse the force that are evil that shape the dark side for what it is by its very nature, the dark side is evil but it’s a necessary evil a necessity to put the light side in it’s place to balance each other since either can’t exist without the other and this is the same ideal Qui Gon believed in which isn’t too far from Dooku’s point of view so you can’t really blame Dooku for resenting the Jedi Order bkuz they became servants of a corrupt government or have gone complacent due to their arrogance and hubris all of this makes absolute sense for why Dooku became a Sith in the first place bkuz he deemed it as a necessity for that very reason ppl would argue the same about Anakin but with Anakin there was a big exception for his inevitable turn to Darth Vader bkuz he’s the Chosen One that’s meant to bring balance in spite of the Jedi forcing the light side on him which he couldn’t live up to

I think there are aspects of his ideology that are clearly Hippocrasy, and he wasn't aware, or didn't care. He also didn't truly understand the meaning of Balance in the force.

I haven't read many of the novels so I don't know exactly what Dooku was thinking. But I interpreted this era of Dooku's life as being his time exploring the dark side until he had matched his light side knowledge. Then at that time he would reassess and determine which side is the truer form of the force, or at least which one allowed justice to prevail. Again I don't know if that's how he was portrayed in the novels, but that's how it came off to me.

Dooku's relationship with he Republic and Jedi is complicated. Dark side should never be on top.It's clear here. Dooku was idealist and naive in the end. Very naive. Dooku said he wanted Jedi extermination. He was really complex and complicated. Everything stands like I said. May the Force be with you too😊

A light side user could argue back by saying, "yes, shadow and light can viewed as the same, but that is only on the surface. Because, when you take a flower, or any other plant, and put it in the light it grows healthy, but when you slide it into the shadow, it withers and dies."

That was obvious with too many force sensitives being in the Jedi Order. If you follow the balance from Tython with the Ashla&Bogan. The Bendu exists in balance in regards to the Tython order. The Dark Woman An'ya Kuro is balanced. What if Master Kuro or maybe even Master Fay had trained Anakin. Both are nomadic as they followed where the Force takes them around of the galaxy. So what if Master Fay or Kuro finds Anakin on Tatooine. Would be interesting to read what if when QuiGon&Kenobi encounters both Masters Fay&Kuro already interested&knows Anakin when their Naboo transport arrived in Tatooine. Both female Masters should be Grand Masters. Master Fay is as old as Yoda but still looks very young. At least they should had influenced Anakin and ObiWan should had gotten help instead of being a Jedi Knight being promoted to a Master position just because he survived a lightsaber duel. Being very good dueling with a lightsaber doesn't make you a Master and should make you a candidate as Jedi Temple Guard or one of Palpy's Imperial Royal Guard if they survived Vader's try out. IMO, most Royal Guards are untrained force sensitives that's enough to give them an edge in non-lightsaber combat.

No, you're not understanding balance correctly. The earth is in balance between light and darkness, but they don't both occur at the same time. There are periods when darkness reigns supreme, then the light rises with the dawn, only for darkness to once again take its place. This is what Dooku is referring to when he states if the balance means the Dark side is on top.. sometimes the light side will be in ascendency, sometimes the dark side will, but never will there ever be a situation where one rules supreme. Each must have their day for balance to be maintained.

think the Dooku didn’t have a personal tragedy to try and legitimize his fall to the Darkside like Aniken did. At least Aniken’s fall to the Darkside was more innocent because he thought he was trying to save Pademe. who her loved more than anything else in the galaxy from sudden death but what was Dookus tragedy?

The problem isn’t that there wasn’t enough use of the dark side, it’s that those who actively used the light side were just too complacent and complicit. That was the source of the imbalance, rather than continuing to build onto the momentum of their forefathers even beyond the ‘fall’ of the Sith than I doubt the rule of two could’ve truly come to threaten the order. Balance would remain by virtue of the light outshining every smidge of darkness, actively spending time in the outer rim and stepping aside from the political sphere would’ve allowed them to focus and strive for greater peace instead of merely being content with good enough peace.

Dooku's argument is flawed - a shade can kill - what is important here is the intent - and the dark side always brings the malicious intent thus it makes people evil it's not a matter of if but when. Jedi did not refuse to recognise the dark side for what it is- jedi refused to allow to be seduced into the dark side as they knew this was ultimately a destructive thing to do. As for balance - this was tried and failed so many times and with so destructive consequences that it wasn't viable in the long term. The both sides are on the opposite spectrums that it's not really possible to achieve and maintain the balance as sooner or later one side would prevail in the individual thus pulling them into one side or the other. Because in the end the force itself didnt want to be balanced and always pulled toward conflict not balance. Kreia said it best - she knew the force had a will of its won and she hated it for it. The one who tried to achieve balance would be eternaly locked in battle with either side and sooner or later a flaw of character would emerge and tip the balance to either side. For eg the Bendu - the one supposed to be in the middle was quite easy to be provoked into extreme rage which alwasy took very destructive turn even and even when he regained his balance it was only a matter of time when the next outburst would present itself. in essence he is a great example that balance at best was only temporary thing.

Exactly Kreia knew that the light side was the balance, but that the force allowed free will. Free will allowed force users to use the force against its own will. The force would have to correct itself leading to conflict. The force permits free will so the conflict will never end unless the force is destroyed. Hence kreias goal

I personally believe that in order to obtain true balance neither can be on top both must be equal in strength if either were to gain the upper hand all will suffer regardless of which side of the force has the upper hand we can see this in the universe during the time when the Jedi were in control while the sith are nowhere to be found and the same thing can be said about when the sith were in control while the Jedi were nowhere to be found so I agree with Dooku only to the extent of balance but anything beyond that is his opinion and his opinion alone

I think it's both more complicated and simpler then you think. The Light and Dark sides don't actually exist in the Star Wars universe. The Dark Side is simply the act of using the Force rather then being guided by it. Which is why the Jedi Orders destruction was unavoidable. The Jedi were not being guided by the Force at the moment the Clone Wars began. They were being guided by political elites. While assuming that they were doing the Forces will. Even if Anakin hadn't joined the Sith or started using the Force the way he had the Jedi Order would've been destroyed at the end of the Clone Wars. No matter what happened.

Exactly the dark side is evil and unnatural. The only reason it exists is because of the paradox of force users. Sentients due to their ability to focus their minds, and their free will can use the force in a way that it did not intend. This created the dark side. If no free will or self awareness existed the dark side would not exist. The force only permits the existence of free will because it thinks it’s an integral part of life even if it leads to periods of imbalance.

Legally a man can be labeled as a father under three grounds legally there is the achnowledged father who is the one who both sides agree is the father the presumed father whose name is on the birth certificate and then there is the alleged father ie. the man who impregnates the mother paternity fraud is a sticky subject it is suppossedly not a crime however you can sue the woman to recover the money she took also lying to a court under oath is also a serious crime which could result in jail time. Since child support is done in court talking to a lawyer about filing a case against the woman about lying under oath could also be an option especially since child support is an ongoing matter that goes on for years.

The light side is balance the dark side is not. Jedi use the light side because they adhere to will of the force. Where the Sith bend the force to their will. This is why balance requires the elimination of the Sith completely. So the dark side is imbalance.
