A sequel for this game is needed for sure. I absolutely love Fusions and yeah, the endgame content is kinda just collecting characters with no real challenge left, aside from the tournament ladder. Even still, I love this concept, its very creative and I'd love to see this either remastered with additional content or given a sequel using OG, Z, GT, Super, Xeno and Heroes characters all wrapped up in one package with a fully customizable OC character. And hopefully, they won't make Super Saiyan cost like, half your energy meter. That was annoying. Edit: Favorite Fusions with OC were Chokly (For the Hair, Broly, Pinich and then Goku SS4 (Peak)
A lot of passion and effort clearly went into this game, which is why i'm so confused why this game wasn't more popular. It's in my top 5 DB games of all time, just for the sheer uniqueness of the gameplay
This was a good video. Dragon Ball Fusions is one of my favorite games and I want it to either be re-released or have a sequel be made cause I think it deserves one. Also RIP Akira Toriyama. I may not have had the chance to watch the anime that much growing up but I did grow up playing the games.
I absolutely loved this game back in the day and I been meaning to replay it for a minute now! Literally one of my most played 3ds games, it's just so GOOD ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 (except for getting endgame characters, that had me mad asl lol. Speaking of characters tho, idk why but finding Cooler just standing there under that waterfall has always stood out in my mind, I remember being so hyped to scout him)
I recently replayed this last time I played was when it released and honestly one of the most fun dragon ball experiences I've had in a while, game is such nostalgia and seeing character interaction we would never see (as basic as they are in game) are charming
Remember playing this game as a kid all the time, was insanelyyy fun. The only issue I had with it is, is that U needed to use street pass to get fusions "outside" the game. Aside from that, this game was awesome to play on the 3DS, would play a sequel def.
I was JUST thinking about and looking up this game. Fusion is such a unique concept in fiction that Dragon Ball really popularized and defined before things like Steven Universe or whatever. So, to make fusion the main concept of a DB game is really cool, especially back when this game first came out along with Xenoverse doing new things.
I never finished the main story for this game but I got pretty darn far. This game is so unique, it needs a switch re-release so bad. Especially with a dub
Update after the 3ds online features shut down. The dlc still works if you have it downloaded. Wifi battles dont work, but thats expected. The ziku kun radar still works though. For those who dont know, when they added the extra content, they added the ziku kun radar as well, I beleive in the connections menu. This will let you scout characters using your local wifi, and is a great way to complete your roster and get characters early.
One of my top 3 db games ngl. I wish it got some kind of port or sequel it was incredibly fun to play as a kid. I’d love to have UI and battle jiren or something fresh
I remember when I first got the game and played through it like 25 times. My 3ds literally says I have 155 hours on the game and I only had it for three months 😭. This game deserves so much recognition
Just finished playing trough the main story a few days ago, crazy to see a video about it coming out now! I really liked it, the level design is crazy good and the gameplay is really enjoyable. What I'm having trouble with is the post game. A lot of the characters and cooler fusions are locked to post game, and unlocking new characters from Rifts can be such a long and boring grind, not to mention some of the requirements for certain fusions. Overall, a good game that I really enjoyed, I liked that it wasn't just another retelling of Z's story, but most of its cool content is locked in the post game, which isn't bad but can get boring pretty fast, since the side quests are all a little same-y, and unlocking a single character from Rifts is incredibly tedious (unlocking Hit cost me HOURS, and I still can't find some characters like SSJ Trunks) I'd love to see a sequel, and an active multiplayer scene for it.
I used to do fusion dance with my friend, and he doesn't even watch anime yet he know how to do it lol, just to show how big was Dragon Ball is. Thank you Akira Toriyama, one day I will collect all of your manga for sure.
I absolutely loved playing fusions when I was a child and I loved it so much that when I rebought a 3ds it was the first game I bought a physical copy of. I really love the elements of the game and the only thing I dislike is that you couldn’t recruit characters until the third area, I really badly wanted to get rid of the group and replaced them as fast as I could. I just wish that Nintendo atleast released a HD port to the switch or whatever console is next…
I remember watching Ndukauba play this game and it made me want it badly. I remember being upset that I couldn't get Future Gohanks because I had the English version
Idk who you are my guy but im soo happy that you are talkin about this!!! I loveee this damn game soo much i replayed the whole game about 4 times !! I wish thry came out with a fusions 2! But i was very dissapointed in the amount of characters they left out tho 🤦🏽♂️ like ss2 teen gohan like how? Ss2 vegeta/goku/adult gohan, no ultimate gohan, no super buu, no evil buu, no tapion, none of cell transformations besides perfect cell, no frieza forms but only final and gold frieza, like smh but this gaming mechanics were addictive af , ive seen mods of this game with current characters but rio dragonball fusions
AND they left out Super trunks hes one of my favorites (even tho cell cooked bro 💀) and future gohan they sold so hard by not adding them A sequel is a must

My original DS broke just before this game came out and i couldnt get a new one for ages until i just kinda forgot but i spent so long watching videos about this game i could tell you how to get most characters even though ive never actually played the game. Thx for the vid im gonna go buy a 3DS and download this game now 100%
fun tip to beginers, power type are is the slowest stype then technique typer is faster and speed type being the fastes, but not just that race also effects it, saiyans are stonger but slower, power saiyans are really slow without buffs but also really strong, plus if you picked saiyan you can learn super saiyan which makes you MUCH STRONGER and mega fast the first turn trasnformed
here is the speed race list offworlders are fastest aliens are slowest nameks are second fastest saiyans are second slowest earthlings are the middle point
In case you happened to read this; for those who planned on getting the game, make sure you do so immediately before the end of April 8th when Nintendo's eShop shutdown for good, because you need the update version or the game becomes literally unplayable! My first time playing years ago the game wouldn't let me play until I get the update, and the updated version is only available through the 3DS eshop.

I have the feeling that the start of the superhero arc goten and trunks have never got the fusion correct which means that they are foreshadowing either a new power or form but then thats my theory
Love this game, but my only beef with it is everytime you get told you can’t beat this guy, Goku just says hit it harder and you win. Like you literally had to run away from broly to live but you end up clapping his cheeks as a great ape? Like why did you run in the first place you had him right there
