Didn’t Drake get offended by Kendrick’s verse on control….while every other rapper mentioned saw it as a call out for competition. Isn’t that how it started. I think Kendrick saw Drake for who he was after that and hated him truly
Best and most logical take on the matter. Ngl tho yeast done the line it needs to be studied how they literally plotted against this man for months and literally treated manz like he was Thanos or Darkseid in a 20v1
"I've emptied the clip over friendlier jabs" whether he was *trying* to mean that literally or not....the fact that him (at his big overgrown age) or his fans cant see that thats not a flex is crazy;straight stupidity, oto telling on himself yet again and ofc not seeing the problem....like.....
@@BoohurghhooClearly he was mentioning beefs like meek mill when he went off on him just bcuz meek started saying drakes worse than him because he had ghostwriters
@@livingrentfree9596 I'm so sorry you still don't see how that's pathetic. In poor taste all around. No matter who, what, where, why he was referencing.
@@Boohurghhoo Meek tried testing Drake and he got smoked 💀. Ur tryna make this into him being soft but if any other rapper did it they would get praise.
Bruh that was back on fuckn 09. Drake even told the story. He said wayne punched him in the face when drake admitted it to him. After that wayne left the bitch and drake was cool with wayne again. Hoes gone be Hoes so i couldnt blame tammy. Tammy was the chick that fucked drake.
All Kendrick had to do was say, “check Drake’s wiki,” and the floodgates of hate would have opened. Dude has a massive section just for getting accused and quickly settling out of court.
Drake, Kid Cudi and Kanye made semi-nerdy cool in the rap game. The lack of Lupe Fiasco here is SLANDEROUS. Also, Drake was never semi-nerdy. Sensitive, yes, nerdy, no.
Suburbs just means not in a big city. Finances have nothing to do w it. U can be poor or rich as hell and live there. Suburbs literally just means residential areas on the outskirts of the city. I think u mean something else… The projects? The hood? the trailer park?? Hahah I dunno
@@_birdie No one said finances have anything to do with it. Forest Hill is not a suburb of Toronto because it's IN Toronto. You are trying to argue over nothing 😂
@@marcuscrowell6964 dude. The comment literally says “drake isn’t from the suburbs. He’s from a very affluent neighborhood in Toronto.” Haha my God why do u care so much. I was just reacting to one thing someone said. U jumped in to start shit. Chill already. This is stupid haha.
@@donzino5772 can’t attribute all of that success to him with the ghost writers and ovo sweatshop. a successful brand for sure, but again; popularity doesn’t always equate to the level of talent.
If one person don’t like you it’s whatever, if two people don’t like you, maybe they hating, if a whole gaggle of people don’t like you, maaayyybbee you the problem
Im so glad i found you over here from TikTok LOL. Ugh this was a a FANTASTIC break down because I was wondering how and when all of this started. I always got weird vibes from Drake too so now I feel like I’m not crazy for not being a huge fan 😂
Drake has always been a strange figure within the world of Hip Hop. The funny thing is he wasn’t a bad artist, but he did have many bad habits. Him being a “Cornball” aside, he spent way too much time sleeping around with other rapper’s girlfriends. Causing issues between him and his so-called “Peers” as well. It doesn’t help that he puts on a facade of him being the nicest guy around, despite having beef with 50% of the industry behind the scenes. In essence, Drake was like the new kid on the playground trying to fit in as best he could. He made friends with the Popular Kids to gain a bit of clout, then used them as a stepping stone for more fame. Eventually, he ran into another kid (Kendrick) who saw him for who he was, a poser. This kid began to tell everyone about all the bad things he did to others behind the teacher’s back. And now we have Drake in the principal’s office, salty and *_Upset_* over why he couldn’t just get along with Kenny. In all seriousness, he had it coming for the longest time…and boy is it satisfying lol
FUTURE HAD A PROBLEM WITH DRAKE YEARS BACK WHEN DRAKE DIDNT SHOW UP TO HIS VIDEO SHOOT FOR THEIR COLLAB SONG & FUTURE DID A RADIO INTERVIEW CALLING OUT DRAKE LOOK IT UP…
@@corncobbob2326Control was a Big Sean song but it's also where Kendrick called out his peers but Aubrey was the only one to seemingly take it personally
@@rahbeeuhBruh, that's scant It is a Big Sean song... but the only reason it is remembered is because of Kendrick's verse and Big Sean is a little salty about that. He's also salty about Deake and Kendrick feuding right before his album rollout.
Thanks for this explanation. As someone from other country, who's into rap but not to the point of keeping up with beefs, I was finding all this amusing, but not really getting how it started.
I mean it's Drake's fault He started, and hoped into beef for no reason, and did things he knows he shouldn't have, and is very petty. You can tell people have resented him for a while cause Wayne held his secret for YEARS.
Drake fans always ignore all the Grimey shit he does behind the scenes and paint him as an angel who everyone is dissing for no reasons. He can do no wrong in the mind of Drizzy gobbler 😂
It isnt like this in the music industry in general ? See what chris brown did and he is still in the industry like nothing happened. People don’t give a shit what you do as long as you dont go the diddy road or make good music
My youtube algorithm finally blesses me with a gem. 💎 I only saw two videos, and I had to sub to this channel. These video breakdowns are epic. I hope this channel blows up in success. This is dope.
remember Kendrick only dropped half of the diss tracks. there is some diabolical shit lurkin beneath the surface. these unreleased diss track is gonna act as a contingency plan if Drake ever wanna go back and ignite the beef for revenge dis tracks lol
He has those vans he knows who he is what hes done; hes not liked or appreciated. Being actially culturally black doesnt really have that much to do w/ it esp if worse come to worse.
@@Boohurghhoohe has used the goons to beat an artist that signed to his label. I don't remember his name but there's a video about it. Drake is a Suge Knight jr
Drake literally had a song where he rap in someone else hood. Like dude legit drove to a random hood that he did not come from, rap like he was and passed it out like he's about that life. No wonder dude got called culture vulture. 😂
The ammount of people in comments learning all this shit about Drake only after Kendrick beef and saying that Drake is hated only because of that is actually insane cuz this shit is common knowledge for like years if you follow rap scene even slightly. Some of ya really be acting like npcs saying shit only cuz its popular atm, and im a Kendrick fan since Section 80.
Future & Metro Boomin are best friends. Future and Drake were frenemies. Also even though he's not involved in this beef, Drake and Chris are also frenemies in my eyes because they still collab sometimes but not as often as Drake collabs with 21 Savage. And I'm honestly shocked that he hasn't said anything about Chris Brown using one of his lines to diss Quavo since Drake is/was friends with The Migos but maybe it's all just business between Drake and Chris Brown/Quavo & Offset.
People forget Future was blowing up making his own name with Tony Montana then Drake jumped on the remix and everyone loved it but when it was time to shoot the music video Drake didn’t want to be in it.
His parents didn't last. He comes from a broken home. Hurt people hurt people and Aubrey perpetuates that in each of the interactions mentioned in this video
It makes me laugh that bc of drake everyone really went back to "control" 😭 i hate this dude but i'm glad kendrick's hatred for him is way more than any of us combined and this hatred makes him create more music 😂
Hi so I am a 20 year old Indian girl and 1) you are very funny 2) I listen to one direction and like Taylor Swift so I have very little to do with the rap scene but I took a course on it and I really want to get into it so can you please elaborate on this beef more and point me to people who might break down the lyrics as I not very knowledgeable to a lot of reference that they make plus as an Indian the accents throw me off a bit
Thus for Drake if you’d like recommendations, eye prefer his older catalog thus take a look at Take Care, So Far Gone & Views.. For Kendrick he’s also rather versatile thus pree his older work too which includes, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Damn & To Pimp A Butterfly. After listening to both artists distinct style and lyrical content maybe you’ll prefer one substantially over the other, then I’d recommend you peep this whole “ beef “ thing if your still interested. In my personal opinion it’s just a waste of time and a random attention grabber to give the fans something to talk and debate about.. rap beefs have been played out for a while now, particularly mainstream rap beef smh. The last real interesting rap beef in my “ opinion “ was between 2Pac And B.I.G Doubt things ever get that serious now a days in present-day 2024.. hopefully you take a look at both their music and find out if you even like them & if they’re worth your time.. Blessings Your Welcome 🧿‼️
