Why overtake in a dangerous place that could cause serious danger to other drivers? All the years I have been a driving instructor, I teach students on driving lessons to overtake only when it is safe to do so and you have the power and clear road ahead to do so. So I am lost for words why this driving was intent on overtaking everyone in front of him.
What has changed for this driver since passing this driving test to driving on the roads. Endangering other drivers with his determination to overtake when all the cars on the road are driving at the speed limit when it is clearly not safe to overtake.

I had this happen to me the other morning in a 30 zone with speed cameras , a land rover overtook a taxi behind me then overtook me, I was doing 30mph, I slowed down let him pass me, he was doing 40mph easily then he overtook another 3 or 4 cars ahead of me up the road. It upsets me that people don't stick to the legal limits and put everyone else in danger, i just can't understand it. 😡 Only one word comes to mind 🤔"MORON'S....They must get ahead and treat the roads like a racetrack... 😡😡😡

Some people just don't care about other road users'safety. Rather silly place to overtake, especially coming up to the roundabout. For any learners out there, don't let people overtaking you for no reason get to you. If you can see someone about to do so just step off the throttle for a few seconds and let them pass. Safe travels everyone 😊

And if they can’t overtake, they harass you by tailgating. One time in a country road in Luton, a black Audi SUV tailgated me and harassed me once they managed to overtake. I decided to get a dashcam and now I have a video collection of Audis and BMWs driving precariously, not all but most!

Honestly mate I think it’s a combination of multiple things, poor planning, poor observation, must get in front mindset, in a rush and poor bad selfish attitude.

You’re always very welcome mate, honestly some people don’t think, they’re desperate to overtake you but then you sit behind them at the next red traffic light, it makes you laugh, they think that by overtaking they’ll get to their destination quicker but they’re wrong, you actually get to your destination quicker if you take your time but not everyone is smart enough to realise that.

its drivers like these that will end up in the statistics or whoever they happen to crash with, another bad characteristic is those who drive bumper to bumper close behind you, they are the worst, and there is no way to tell them either, I'm trying to flash the break lights and slowing down but they keep coming close, so I find a safe spot and slow down and signal to tell them to pass, cause I'm not risking a whiplash injury for those morons! btw if you have 5 cars behind you, you are suppose to let them pass you by law, just a heads up

Omg so dangerous. It happen to me had a car on otherside of the road over taking two cars at once was fully on my side I had to break but not fully he just went back to his side of the road in time I'm learning still and was in my partners car getting some practice before my 4th test. Shook me up but was told I did well managing what had happened, it's not put me off driving though 😊

A recent video as date shows in video this was Last week.😮 Yea; so much for a learner and instructor to be aware of behind you when driving.😅 We been told to let them go when overtaking. Hopefully i pass September 20th.. Safe driving. :)

in this situation its not respecting the tempory speed limit. i see lots of people on the motorway or a duel carriage way, 50mph temp speed limit for road works and they are still doing 70mph up to the contraflow and then either maintain that speed until catch a vehicle doing the speed limit or slow to 60mph but they will not do 50mph. they know its a nation speed limit usually and just overtaking thinking everyone else is an idiot for going so slowly. respecting speed limits is a big issue for, my guess, over 50% of drivers on the roads. the amount that will creep over by 5mph and think its ok as well as the ones that dont care and will speed 10 or more mph, the driving mis daisy driver doing 45mph constantly no matter the zone. the thing is some think they are good drivers too because they are not going fast in the nationl speed limit areas but i find more hazards and risks are in 30mph zones. but until retesting is brough in, nothing will change for drivers to be better, most likely the standard of driving will get worse.

It's the thrill of the adrenaline rush. There is no planning nor observation in the conventional (safe) sense; after the thrill of overtaking the first vehicle, it becomes a savage need to maintain speed and "win" by passing everyone in front. Ideally the police will soon spot them doing this or someone will submit video evidence to the police. Hopefully before they have a collision.

Overtaking is not illegal. In this part of the country you would fail your driving test for sitting behind someone not doing the speed limit. Sure what he’s doing is slightly dicey looking to nervous drivers but he hasn’t actually put anyone in danger or caused anyone to brake.

@@kevycanavan Except he is at the speed limit, 28-29mph during the overtake. and it's before a bend, you're playing devils advocate where it isn't merited.
