Just watch the shows. He explained that mainly he wanted to do something new for the end of his career and thought working with his best friend would feel good. And it's a great oppotunity to work with people he had never shared a ring with.
Both are true! Edge wanted out of the JD for the whole supernatural idea (that didn't even end up happening) and at first WWE were reluctant but in the end they accepted as they needed a top babyface.
@@Atriaa6You might be referring to LA Knight since he wanted out of MMM because he wasn’t feeling the gimmick. Copeland has a newer interview talking about how JD started and they were going for a New Brood/Ministry of Darkness vibe. They had to pivot because Randy and Cody got hurt. Check it out.
Randy Orton injuries aside, it still doesn’t make any sense to me why the did both the Finn heelturn and the Edge kicking out in the same night. I would’ve like to of seen more of Edge in Judgment Day. I, as well as most probably didn’t even care WWE was “lacking baby faces” tbh, as we just literally had Cody return as well. 😂
He will do like 2 years and retire then. It's okay. He probably finds another role in wrestling. Everything has its time and everything has to end one day. Edge had nothing left to do.
@@MzCookiezfourtwnty times change. Do you work for the same company for all your life? It's good if people have a choice. This makes the business better.
No they work arenas with an indie audience. Except on big shows they somehow get the audience they want. Got to bring in talent from other promotions though
“random” do you even watch?? He just had a 6 month feud with Christian. He’s wrestling weekly and actually being used the way he should. WWE fumbled him after his return. He’s working the House of Black now and they just had a great match over the weekend.
@@cainvarner"Fumbled" ? Yeah no way he was fumbled, anything was fumbled, his feud with Orton was a major thing which carried the WWE in the pandemic, his feud with Reigns and Bryan was all good stuff, and who can forget his all star rivalry with Rollins where he had 5 classic matches, what he did after his return in the WWE was way more meaningful than whatever he is doing in AEW😂😂😂
Why do u guyz have to compete. Isn't it better that we got to see edge fight with superstars from wwe and outside wwe too. His run in wwe was great and his run in aew has been great so far
@austrianpainter007it’s not uncommon for a wrestling channel to have less than a million subs! Most of the top channels don’t!! There is a few but not a lot
Building new stars *Chris Jericho, Rick Flare, Sting, Dustin Rhodes, a crippling Big Show, injury prone Daniel Brian, and Edge are literally hogging up the belts while the young talent is nonexistent*
Ric flair don’t wrestle Sting just retired Dustin Rhodes barely wrestle Big show barely wrestle Daniel Bryan is a amazing performer and you would not be saying that if he was still in wwe And edge is literally fighter new performers every week
crazy how what started out as a simple Edge heel turn in a feud against AJ Styles, led to Rhea Ripley winning the royal rumble and having an over a year long world title reign, damien priest winning money in the bank and becoming world champion at Wrestlemania, Finn Balor and Damien Priest winning the tag team titles twice, Dom Mysterio turning heel and winning the North American championship, and JD McDonagh becoming apart of a main event group on Monday Night Raw
They should’ve had someone else turn face. Edge staying on judgment day would’ve been a great last run for him. Probably why he decided to leave when Punk returned and Cody and Randy were back from injury.
edge was supposed to get kicked out when finn joined, but that was supposed to happen way later, which is why that whole thing felt like it came out of nowhere
It's a shame, because I wanted to see Edge stay as heel for much longer but Orton and Rhodes injury left them with no choice. Orton injury still hurts, the fact that he missed 18 months. But edge missing 9 years is worse. He probably could and would have had 4-5 more huge title runs and then call it a day. But because he's missed so many years, he wants to continue wrestling on his terms. But without that injury, he probably would have retired after turning 50
It was less Randy being injured than cody being injured. Bc cody being injured left a top guy babyface hole in the roster that's y Seth had to be turned few weeks later.
It's still the dumbest decision they could have possibly made. The original Judgement Day with Edge was fantastic and adding Dom in the group with Edge as the leader would have made them a Bloodline level faction. Since the moment they threw Edge out they've been a joke. Rhea herself doesn't know if she wants to be a heel or a babyface, JD is a jobber, Balor is faction member #3 and Damien Priest is a joke. Dom is the only one in that group that's even slightly interesting. And a MITB cash in the night after R-Truth kicked your ass doesn't make up for the 2 years of painful mediocrity that the group has been oozing with.
Wow I didn't know this. It was a logical decision by Creative and I loved his babyface run. Especially since it meant me watching him hit a double 619 with Rey, be inches away from me at his entrance and be kicked in the balls by Dom at CATC
Do you not do research? Edge left “his baby”. Cause, he wasn’t feeling the creative ideas. They wanted the group to be supernatural/MOD-like. Adam wanted out, and they wrote him off.
Did it really worked out in the end for edge? (Apparently i cant even put the link here so find the video caled "Edge song parody" aew diss. But yeah things seem bleak for him long and short of it.)
