@@lucasgoodson1683 That was Undertaker until wrestlemania 30 There’s nothing wrong with knowing who’s gonna win. That’s been Roman’s title run the entire time lol. That’s like going into a movie and knowing the guy gets the girl in the end lol
Yeah really dropped the ball. They could've used it similar to the Undertakers streak. And when someone finally beats The Demon it would be a major push for them.
@@civilwarwasaninsidejob7405 yes. I had to. Like i said, it’s just a little guy covering himself with face paint and I have to believe he suddenly obtain super powers?
@@QualityEJC yeah and the other reason is finn is fucking amazing in the ring the demon is a persona not him he don’t need to be all dressed up in paint to get over he’s already over
@@emiliomarbanjr fair I guess. To me, I knew Edge was gonna win that one but it definitely added salt to the demons wounds. I love Roman's reign but I've said it many o time and so many agree that that was a moment, the lights flickering, the cinematic interaction, the jolting, then bam coup de gra- wtf was that? Demon Finn shoulda dethroned Reigns. Only person believable now imo is Ziggler. It could be an amazing story. I used to say Randy but as of late I worry he might not be going much longer so that's unfortunately out..
Haha, yeah, that's worked out great for Bray's w/l record LOL. Finn and Bray...other than Zach Ryder, are there any other top level talent they have misused more than Bray and Finn?
@@126rollins23jeff face paint is simple af. There was a video by wwe from 2009 how jeff painting his face within 30min. Finn need shadowing, fading effects, almost full body painting. If u not believe, u can search for body painting artist on youtube and see how long does it take.
I honestly forgot about this guy but damn growing up and seeing the Demon you knew sh*t was about to go down. Thank you for reminding me of this Legend.
The thing is, it's not a different character.. he does the exact same moveset as The Demon. It makes no sense. The Demon should at least have a few different moves that Finn never does, and a different finisher. It just feels like Finn in makeup doing the same stuff he usually does.
So the idea behind The Demon is that it is Finn Balor UNLEASHED. He is far more aggressive, far angrier, and will give no quarter. He doesn't need a different moveset because well...he's still the same guy. It's like Goku going Super Saiyan. He doesn't get new moves, but everything he does gets turned up a notch
With Rhea gone and Damian getting pretty big for his britches lately, I'd love to see Finn break out a newer version of the Demon, maybe a fusion of his current and old look that doesn't need quite as much paint
I predict in a couple more years the demon will come out for the judgment day. If they do it right Finn won't have control over it and will still be attempting to align with his faction.
I was honestly hoping I might see him enter SummerSlam as the demon. Seems if they were gonna continue to use the demon this match and what it meant was textbook for that. “The demon has been festering inside for 7 YEARS, waiting for it vengeance.” Yeah he would’ve lost as the demon but WWE dosent seem to be so concerned about that considering the last handful of times we have seen the demon. I honestly think it’d be pretty cool if Balor went into the demon for every big PLE match while with the Judgment Day. They don’t really have a “leader”, but it would be cool if his Judgment Day members respected him because of this demon he brings out. Maybe they even fear him a bit. Maybe this loss flips Balor and he starts bringing the demon out more often and that holds Damien at bay a little being afraid to cross Balor and turn him into the demon. 🤷♂️ Just talking out loud.
I remember one time back in, I think it was 2017. Finn and Bray were gonna have a match, but Bray attacked Finn from behind. Then he was helped in the back, and apparently some fans thought Finn would be helped in the back and return as the demon. HUH
I feel like the demon isnt as special as it used to be years ago i mean any special event we see it. Againsts reigns? Demon. Against edge? Demon. Against priest? Most likely the Demon . Idk we see it too much for it to be special. Hell Bray as a whole right now seems more special with any update we get from him rather then the demon (not to say i hate balor love him and his wrestling, bit the demin aint special)
The issue with the Demon is what the demon should be. It should just be special war paint he dons on big matches, but now it's possessing him so then it all just crumbles
@@waterphoenix857 Kane and Undertaker had no alter ego. It’s not like Kane was still Isaac Yankem and occasionally became a demon. Hell, when Undertaker became the American badass he included more mma style to his moveset. Finn is just a guy who occasionally wears Halloween face paint. Like Bray Wyatt with his Fiend mask
@@waterphoenix857 umm that’s not true is it. Finns demon is supposed to be an alter ego, the gimmick is it is a dark side he releases. Which doesn’t really work when his dark side fights like and is only as tough as Finn is not painted. Masked and unmasked Kane wasn’t an alter ego it was just supposed to be the same guy. Bray was an alter ego, but the fiend was actually different it was invincible, Undertaker umm.. I’m not even sure what alter ego you think he had?
@@benironside1264 i dont mean the alter ego i mean the fighting style, to me brays fighting style is the same as the fiends, when i would watch him i didn't really see any new moves from him (as far as i remember) the only thing different was that the fiend was alittle more dominant then bray.
I don't like the Demon because he literally changes nothing. He isn't more aggressive, he doesn't change his attitude, his moveset is the same, he works the same. Its literally just paint. He needs to WORK DIFFERENT
It’s crazy cause they did the fiend the same way. After he lost twice the feeling was gone. Needed someone to be undefeated and WWE thinks the fiend and the demon needed to be defeated. It’s ruining the characters because those were alternate characters.
@@SharkAlien66it's literally the most liked ice cream flavor. I get that's it's common, but I never understood how it's an insult or backhanded compliment, when literally millions like it 😄
@@elizabethgeorge168 Popular =/= good 😄 Seriously, vanilla ice cream is the blandest stuff on the market. You just get the basic ice cream experience, absurdly sweet & dairy. People like it because its inoffensive. It being boring is a perk to them, not a fault.
When the demon got trapped with a kendo stick in the hell in a cell against Edge at mania and started roaring like a zombie. Super cringe. Finn’s match against Brock at Rumble a few years ago was A1 though.
I just don't get it. I mean I get the alter ego but the demon isn't more terrifying or more tougher or anything besides a paint job and entrance. Tbh I don't like it he's not an intimidating person for having a persona like that ijs imo
Knowing that the Demon only makes appearances at taped PPV shows and then finding out from Maven that you need to be at a TV taping 8 hours before the show and then spend up to 7 of those in a make up, it means he only has an hour to prep for his match. Considering this is basically what Maven got fired for it just shows you the calibre of talent that Finn has that he doesn’t even need the time to prep for a match.
golddust was doing this shit looking in a mirror by himself, and finn complains about having someone else do it for him while he sits still in a chair??? Fucking weak. lmao
to be fair...have you seen how elaborate it can be? I mean, take a look at the raw debut: the demon design itself, the face paint, his names on his leg, it's bound to take a few extra minutes
Finn should overwork this gimmick. The demon with the same moveset as finn balor is not only a bit embarassing to watch but also a bit borring. For such a cool gimmick he definitely needs a lot more violent moves and a more violent acting. That would prevent him from beeing just finn balor in paint rather than an alter ego.
They need to build him up, give him a good strong heel run with a title and have him use it like he did in NXT. If they're expecting priest to get over feuding with Finn he's gonna actually need some momentum
Fair point, all that body paint taking forever. But why not just go with face paint? I'm pretty sure that's faster to the point that Jeff & Dustin did that themselves. No need for a crew.
Very similar to the Three Faces of Foley, this extension of his personality is used for the more aggressive characterization of the person. I has not been overdone, so it’s not a stretch to believe it. This guy is the future of the business, if he can stay healthy he’s going to make bank for everyone involved.
All that to just lose😂 I can only imagine how pissed he was when triple h called him into the office and said “you’re gonna be at the finish line Roman’s down and then boom the whole fucking top rope comes off and you lose”
The paint is soooo great...but it feels soo pointless when its just a slightly more aggressive Finn. It needs a complete move switch up to make it something more interesting.
While the demon was a cool presentation, I never felt like the demon was anything more than paint. It would have been great if the demon had a different finisher or a special move only used by the demon...something to make the demon feel like a tangible difference rather than an aesthetic one.
6 or 7 hours? My friends wife and I did that in 3 hours for his Halloween costume a few years ago, when your paid by the hour for painting something that will be ruined in 20 minutes or less I guess you gotta make it worth it.
I can see why it gets tiring and exhausting if you do that too much. Sort of similar to how actors would do makeup for movie sets like creature features.
What a wasted opportunity for the demon to be Legendary on the level of top characters ever. And wwe used to push it so hard, was taken way more seriously and given more marketing than fiend. Had so much legacy potential.
