@@MrSiddharthaSaha well I kinda agree, the market value is wayyyy too high, I mean just imagine, I mean the current market cap is bigger than all the other major automobile makers COMBINED. After peaking 800+ it's was on a decline, sign of the bubble bursting, but it some how again peaked and now is again on 800+. Okay electric maybe the future but with demand would increase the competition and I don't personally think they would be able to justify the current pricing.

@@-french_fries- They are absolutely going to go bankrupt if they do not drop the prices, the thing is that more and more car manufacturers are making cheaper and cheaper electric cars, Tesla can boast about their electric car being "the best" all they want, but the closer other electric cars become, the point Tesla tries to make becomes null.

How is it anticompetitive when other car giants like ford, are unwilling to build their own charging networks, while Tesla is using the profit it gains to expand their supercharger stations. To me, this sounds like Tesla won the competition. And infact, letting other EVs use Teslas supercharger is the exact opposite of competition.

@@cocutou Then how is Apple anticompetitive ? Phone manufacturers like Samsung are not building their own app stores and are relying on google’s version. Apple did build their own App Store so by your theory, Apple also won is not anti competitive unlike what Elon says.

Apple would not acquire an American car maker, they’re absolutely back of the pack in quality, efficiency, design, technology, manufacturing efficiency etc. That would be a huge liability and a very difficult ship to turn around. If they did it would be Korean brand. The only thing they’d get out of GM or Ford is massive government handouts even though much of what they produce is from other countries.

When the big companies enter a specific zone they mostly dominate due to their huge wealth like how Amazon did with aws in cloud services. However Tesla is also a trillion dollar company

@@dondraper499 The M1 chip is one of the first generations of ARM based processor that finally broke free from RISC, and the reward in power economy is astounding, much like how Amazon is reaping the reward in their ARM based server lineup. Though I can't help but to think if there is any risks that Apple should be taking and leverage their enormous resources. Faster CPU or battery life seems to be the only new thing to talk about these days.

​@@likhithkvvr Difference is that Microsoft was dumb to laugh because they didn't even have a tiny part of the phone market pre-iphone. Nokia and Blackberry had the vast majority of market share, anything Microsoft had attempted failed so their opinion was worth shit. Tesla is currently the dominant player in the EV world and they very much in their rapid growth and innovation stage. All the pure EV companies have all the best engineers and the traditional manufacturers are scrambling to catch up. Apple might have a lot of cash but it'll be 4 years at the earliest until they start manufacturing their 1st model during which time the rest of the world will have taken huge chunks of the market. Cars are a very significant purchase for most people so they only get bought rarely. If Apple is seriously committed to making an EV it'll be a decade or two until they actually have a competitive product. They'll have to be happy taking huge losses until then which will create lots of executive board tension. There's also the issue that despite being a smartphone maker Apples battery tech is crap because they have intentionally made them bad to encourage replacing phones yearly. This and their terrible repair policies and con-artist like behavior at Apple stores does not bode well for consumer confidence in a device that could kill you if they build in obsolescence and it fails at the wrong time.

@@Cyclops0000 Your information is misleading regarding batteries, I think Apple will use different strategies for big things like car. So, we don’t know what they have up their sleeve until it comes out. Apple might not be the first to come up but they do make the best when they release something.

I can't imagine that Apple would build an FSD electric car, then just sell it to people! I doubt Apple fanboys will have the option to buy one either way.. :)

@@likhithkvvr Apple doesn't make the best of anything. Sure their products look nice and are well marketed but "best" implies quality and reliability which Apple intentionally fails on so customers are forced to replace devices and accessories. The only reason they use the lightning port on phones for example is because it's a more flimsy connection so the cable connectors break more often which has skyrocketed sales of replacement charging cables. Same thing with earpods not having silicone tips so they fall out more easily and get lost or broken. People like the design and fall for the marketing lies then once they've got an accessory or subscription service they're stuck in the ecosystem.

Don't think anyone specifically asked Elon for permission about which brand of equipment to use, and I also think that Elon is very pragmatic, so banning a brand for petty reasons is less likely.

Tesla has the secret software thermo regulation advantage, that’s why no one is competing and apple can’t come out cuz it wouldn’t Be better.

Tesla has offered it's chargers to be used for all companies so yeah not like Apple are all. And proprietary tech isn't the same as a walled garden.
