RIGHT!! And she didn’t even “escape” she was told to go their by a doctor because they believed the weather was better for her and even when she got to Venice she was still sick and her health would fluctuate.

Documentaries and biographies have been dumbing down the population in past 20 years . It started when Lucy worsley turned these Documentaries into dress up sessions instead of well researched Documentaries. FYI there are 10s of Documentaries on the social life of the Tudors but not 1 famous 1 about the birth of the Tudor navy , monetary policy, lives of average ppl etc . Most of these videos are = to historical gossip nothing more , with the speaker trying to get as much attention as possible for themselves.

@@randykirkland3927 are you a historian or are you a history student ? If you watched her documentaries do you have the knowledge to catch mistakes ? Even your response is phrased as if your a expert . Your giving a verdict as though you've reviewed and revised her material put it up for evaluation by experts from Cambridge or Oxford and reached a conclusion, its very holier than thou sentence.

@@margaretdunn1032 You're not the only one, I've never heard of Empress Elisabeth until I watched a movie called "Sissi" when I was 10-years-old, on TCM which it was in T.V. at the time. Empress Elisabeth was a princess of Bavaria known by her family as "Sissi" until she married Emperor Franz Joseph and became empress of Vienna. And of course her mom Ludovika was the twin sister of ArchDuchess Sophie of Austria.

Sissi was just a child when she married into the Austrian imperial family and having Archduchess Sophia aka "The Mother-in-law from Hell" around, you really can't blame her for preferring to travel. She was the Princess Diana of her time.

she wasn't Princess Diana of her time.... the Emperor loved her from the first time, sissi denied his affection, she doesn't want him to even touch her, she even selected an actress to be his mistress so he would leave her alone. royal protocol also told that the child should not be brought up by the Empress herself, Marie Antoinette even follow these

Sissi probably ate fish and chicken, which are low in fat. The texture of skin turn to water after digested. And salad, also. With exercise, she could stay quite thin.

Damn, why would you make a documentary when you are so poorly documented??? How can you say something like "Venice was part of Austria-Hungary until 1866"???... when Austria-Hungary started to exist after 1867 and up till 1918??? Thumbs down for the HUGE historical ignorance!!! :( :(
