Im ENFP with a INTJ boyfriend: LOVE HIM!! he is always aware, and “solving my life” he wants to be a better person and that includes our relationship: we make plans, exercise together, study together talk and theorize about everything (politics, life, philosophy, movies) we both are programmers and im delighted about his competence while he seams to be quite amused with my ideas to innovate. And maybe it is a cultural thing (we are mexicans living in mexico) but he is very physical and positive about showing affection. It is incredible how we know what the other thinks and how we both appreciate transparency. Also, last time we were about to fight i stopped us and said “hey we are two tired people having an stupid fight because we are tired” we looked at each other and started to laugh. Maybe other personality would be like “hey be serious about my concerns” but i like that he is able to step away. Its a great combination, i would even recommend to actively look for it. We are very happy and when we are not we schedule a “hard talk” in our Jira (we use jira for our projects) and solve it systematically. He gives so much structure and security to my life. We have a phrase “we can solve everything with intelligence and grace”. ENFP LOVE you INTJs because you are absolutely perfect for us!! (Yet i have to clarify that me matched because we have common values, common careers, and we both go to therapy just for self improvement, so… there are other factors behind) (✨🔥🤖🦄🔥✨

Apparently the ENFP INTJ relationship is very popular among the mtbi community. Due to their extroverted intuition, ENFPs are really good at generating and sharing a ton of ideas, however they struggle thinking through the effects of each one and determining which ideas are good vs bad. This is where the INTJs analytical nature comes in and processes each idea and visualizes it’s effects to pick out the really good ideas. I love it!

Yea its really popular I think because of how strong it is, but also so unexpected. That and both INTJs and ENFPs are weird in their own ways.

ENFP- I love flawed photography too. It's authentic, organic pictures. When I took pictures in the past, I used to take them when no one knew I was because I wanted to capture people in the moment, not when they were posing. I wanted the blurs, the fly zooming in throwing the shot out of focus, the random people walking in front of the shot, the thumb in the way, or fingerprint on the lens. That to me that just captures the moment of existence, not just a picture. I remember more from a flawed picture than I do from a pose.

Coming here a year late, but I deeply enjoyed this as an ENFP. It's fascinating because I get bored easily listening to most introverted presenters on topics, but I can identify an INTP or an INTJ in a heartbeat by how I'm captivated listening to you explain things. I also saw a different comment suggesting that you're an ISTJ and not an INTJ which made me choke laughing on my water. There's a look that I swear only INTJ's are capable of, a bright-eyed look that I can't quite describe when you're interested in a topic and it's that look that gives me a glimpse into the "underground." It's like finding a wizard and seeing the depths of knowledge of something beyond my imagination that has me begging for more. Teach me the magic and I'll apply it to the above ground!

Almosy 50yr old ENFP woman here. Some of the most "naturally clicking" people I've met are INTJs - men and women, and especially the men. (Women may need slightly different things from other women than they need from men.) My INTJ male friends are my pillars of stability - who keep me honest about my pursuits, gently nudging me into making choices that *converge* somewhere, but magically never nagging. They never rush me to complete anything, but insist on generally being productive, even with my wide swathe of interests. If they see convergence across all these areas far into the future, they'll let me play. But if any of those pursuits are just a waste of time, they'll gently (without my knowledge) guide me right out and course correct. They make the world's best teachers and project guides for an ENFP. Hands down. I'm married to an INTP, and between the two of us, we give each other a lot of space to just be ourselves without achieving much at all. LoL! But we're both ok with that vague, wandering existence. Nevertheless we keep ourselves grounded with the help of INTJ for me and a few ESTJ/ENFJ/ESFJ friends for my INTP.

I'll attempt to be brief. You know how us Enfp types can ramble. My experience of INTJ individuals. I appreciate the meaningful conversions, nothing superficial. Whatever you are interested in, you can talk for hours about.Your thoughts and your intelligence without option but facts are grounding and real. Enfp can appear scatterbrain but I genuinely love to know what is going inside your mind. Intrusive? Yes. However for me as an Enfp it's my love language.

This is crazy. I am not sure I am an Intj, but I am sure my best friend is an Enfp and what you said about them dating a sensing type or their thrive for novelty is so much true and is what I find incredibly fascinating, sometimes annoying about him. He is now dating a guy who I am sure being an ISFJ or some other introverted sensing type and I can see my friend looking for novelty in this guy, in search of something he has not already figured out that is is honestly painful for me to watch because I can see clearly him wanting more but getting everything the other has to offer and forcing himself to recognize what is given as enough

22:51 (a very tragic thing statement) why do you think this is a bad thing for us ENFPs? It's not! It's the complete opposite! The need we have to look for new exciting things (conceptually) FUELS us, not depletes us! Why would you want us to get rid of something that makes us happy?? Your statement at 28:52 encapsulates this. This is where MBTI helps ALL of us learn about one another. We ALL look at others as if we all think/feel/energize in the same ways they do, but in reality, we are all different. ( Learning MBTI helps us stop our natural inclination to project how we would feel if we were doing an action another type was doing). I had to learn that my introverted sensing friend LOVES to do "boring things (lol)" and that gives her joy just as much as when I try to discover how someone or something (systems mostly) works! So, by learning MBTI/Jungian stuff, I've learned to inquire first and ask if that either drains them or fuels them (even if they look drained doing it lol -- as I've learned that we may look that way to others while in that mode). By the way, I love your videos and loved this one so much, I decided to listen again! (Apparently this time feeling more compelled to respond! 😂).

Wow! Fascinating what you say about art being objective vs subjective and linking that to extroversion and introversion...I never thought of it that way. But I will say as a much more introverted/reclusive ENFP (4w5 SP on Enneagram, I have very high Fi for an ENFP and am much more INFP-like, but still have differences between my personality and INFPs I've known), I've straddled that line as an artist and often felt frustrated that I don't have as 'subjective' a perspective or style as many others. I often have felt that I was 'copying' in a sense and unable to access something uniquely my own, compared to my INFP artist friends. At a point I just embraced that I have my own unique set of influences and to take parts of each (read, "Steal like an Artist") that resonate with my Fi, is my way of arriving at my voice. Now I can blame it on having higher Ne than Fi. LOL Another thing with being an ENFP artist, I have struggled to stick to one style/expression and often see things other artists do and think I should incorporate aspects of that into my own work. It means I haven't moved forward very much over the years due to being scattered and having ADHD. Although granted I had an INFP illustrator friend with the same problem. But these days she seems to have a very cohesive, authentic style and I'm still not very settled within myself, also have like 20 unfinished paintings around my studio and very few finished. I guess for me each work is its own world. People tell me my work is unique but I don't really see it, I'm just trying to get the image across as well as I can each time without focusing too much on subjective style. BTW Carl Jung was an IxTP. He typed himself basically as INTP, but I have seen a good argument that he was an ISTP. Definitely Ti-dom.

A lot of very good explications as always. I could listen others INTJ eternally. Digression... always on high Ni users XD. It's good to remember MBTI letters means nothing, that there are just key to decode and know our cognitives functions. Like photography is just a representation of reality, a copy of reality, not reality itself. MBTI letters are just a representation of a personality type, not the core, depth of personality type itself which is the cognitives functions. S pair well with extroversion and N with introversion, because : Sensing and Extroversion are both masculine/yang/+ energy, and Intuition and Introversion are both feminine/yin/- energy. Always in the idea of same polarity. As Si is a copy, replica of the reality. Si is really weird for me, structured, hard to evolve with time, not very flexible or open, hard to put me in their mind. Whereas Se is the reality, external world. To understand (i) we have to go deep, not stay to the facts/surface (e) Seems having the same dominant function with opposite energy work well in relationship. It seems to have a relationship balanced : _Fe with Fe _Fi with Fi _If Fe with Fi, the energy, decisions will be always turned towards the Fi user I think. INTJ with ENFP INFJ with ENTP I think ENFP notice us because we are different, out of the norm, authentic, unique, original. Certains ENFP are radars, they direct notice and pay attention to us. And INTJ we are happy, because most of the time during all our life, no one care of us, no one find us interesting except them. INTJ this magnetism, intensity, attractive force to attract ENFP. Seems ENFP instant adopt us, talk directly to us, the only one not afraid by us and our weirdness ? (I attract, have quick mind connection too with certains strangers INTJ, INFJ, INFP, old persons, children, and animals) Seems I have this magnetism, energy, aura, something like this. Our cognitives functions seems are really our energy, that people notice unconsciously. In psychology "We likes people who are like us" The goal of every person in life : know their self. We communicate, to know and try to figure out our differences and similarities with others, to know who we are. What is fun, I am INTJ and my past relationship were ESFP and ENTJ, and in a close future INTJ. The points common with all of theses types : same cognitives functions, same family. I had ENFP friend during a time. "Everything you need is in yourself" That exactly I think for weeks.

ENFP aren't looking to find themself in others so much as to find those who think similarly so that *we* can be understood of others (as well as to make sense of the world around us). It's very rare that any one cares (takes time/ respects) to accurately analyze our Fi, and those who think they are, typically are getting it wrong at worst or doubting their observation, at best. INTJ/FJ deep diving takes us by surprise (and the contri-wise is also true; we take them by surprise). ENFP take the past and future (lower Si) and cross-check it with our Te / Fi / Ne. This grounds us into a sensing mode where we are internally drinking in moments with people as we observe differences and perspectives, effectively giving us the deep well of love we have have for others and prompting our eternal optimism / hopefulness, but also our realistic, authentic and blunt manner of being. We use algebra to adopt problem solving to many perspectives instead of basic math. That's why we are okay with being single and of independent thought, generally, not following the crowd. To us, Algebra as solving for X is more interesting than basic math world views but not many people even care - YOLO attitudes. INFJ or INTJ enjoy Trig, Calc or Geometry to solve for peonies (hilarious mistype ... / universal problems) and have a good understanding of algebra (solving world problems) so each "get' ENFP, but the reverse isn't necessarily true, which creates initial interest, and sustain it so long as problems exist and are being directly solved. If theories aren't mapping out, the two collide eventually... and no amount of interest or intrigue repair it.

Good writing is also a subjective art. When writing, you use words, like notes in music, but you use it in your unique way. There are not many writers, who were Extroverts, by the way - since writing requires solitude, plenty of solitude. @@theintjperspective2958 ISTJ's are the third most common type and make up 11.6% of the population, in the US this is nearly 40 million people, outnumbering INTJs 6 to 1, there are a ton of youtube creators who are ISTJ's despite the stereotype that they are not open minded enough to do that, Marques Brownlee is very likely an ISTJ, likely the outlier ISTJs with very high use of Ne in about 3 standard deviations of the norm could easily mistype as INTJ, this means at least ~10% or more of people who test as INTJs are likely ISTJs, but since the Myers Briggs test only correlates with Big 5 at ~0.4-0.6 and that test in itself is only ~0.6 accurate in predicting life outcomes, we can conclude that the test is maybe 50% accurate, depending on circumstances, means that up to half the people testing as INTJ could easily mistype, this doesn't include other common mistypes like ENTP/INTP/ISTP, overall the fact that INTJs are 3 standard deviations from the norm, at ~1-2% of the population, means that any test is going to have an extreme difficulty in measuring if someone is actually an INTJ and there will be large of numbers of other types who happen to randomly test as INTJ by chance or extreme features/interests, some alternative measures of how many INTJs are out there suggest it might be as low as 1% and they are likely more rare than people are acknowledging, therefore, high chance anyone claiming to be an INTJ is not actually an INTJ

Are others able to tell we are INTJs by interacting with us?

Some are, it depends on how well they are versed in MBTI. Most people are obvious to it.

@@theintjperspective2958 I see, also did you mean obvious or oblivious? I'm guessing the latter? Thank you! :)

There are mainly 2 ways of thinking: inductive and deductive reasoning. Introverts use more deductive way of thinking, especially in philosophy or mathematics.

Question: why do INTJ like to model themselves after doppelgangers?

I don't understand you without more context. I'm not sure I know what you mean by PGMs or AFBs.

Funny as an INTJ I do have ENTP friends and we protect each other most of the time they protect me by arguing instead of me with people. And I protect them by solving their financial issues. 🦾
