The cost for me to attend cc right now is essentially free. I’m on my third year and I have only had to pay for supplies and parking passes. I’m transferring to SJSU in a few months and your videos helped me decide between UCSC and SJSU.
Since you work in electrical engineering, what does your work days look like since the pandemic and now as the pandemic is still going on? Typically software engineers/computer science are able to work from home (remote) since they don’t actually need to go to a lab/interact with physical machinery, but what about electrical engineering? Mechanical engineering? Computer engineering? Chemical engineering? Civil engineering? Did you work from home/remote when all of this started and now too?
Good question! maybe I should make a video on this...but to answer your question, it depends on your role...most of my work has to be performed in a lab, like you said, I have to interact with the physical instruments so I couldn't work from home. However some of my coworkers design electronics, so they were able to work from home because it is all computer work. So it's going to vary.
