I’m a kpop fan and I don’t hate him but then again the only thing I know him for is WHEN I WAKE UP IN MA ROOM

Rain is like "I want y'all to be famous... but not more than me" to all his groups 💀 Also joining CUBE, who had BEAST mind you -- who was MBLAQ's rival back in 2009 was craaaaazy

Never sign with a company that is run by another artist that is also active.

The problem with Rain is that HE still wants to be famous. He cannot sit in the background and let his artists shine. He NEEDS to also be the FACE and be putting music out there. He cannot simply focus on the group but he is still focusing on making himself famous out there.

This is exactly the same issue with the artists that Beyoncé is handling. As the other people said, never expect success when you are being managed by another artist.

This video is perfectly timed! I was at Kcon LA 2023 and I was so confused when RAIN got no love. There was very little cheering and dancing. Most people actually sat for his set. It wasn’t till after Kcon I found out that he was black waved. I was a big fan of MBLAQ but I had no idea they were under RAIN. I always wondered what happened to MBLAQ and this explains everything well. I respect RAIN as being an OG in the Kpop community and that he inspired many idols but I can see why everyone is upset with him.

A good artist doesnt mean one can be good at management of other especially in idol group. I feel so bad for Mblaq and all the other groups

i don't understand why veteran kpop idols who wants to start their own companies think they're automatically legible to be CEOs. Just because an idol has been in the industry for a long period of time does NOT mean you can run a company. It's all BUSINESS and FINANCE. A more legible person should be someone who knows how the system of the industry works and how to handle money. I think it'd be more fitting if they start out as DIRECTORS first, given their actual previous experience in the industry they would only be focusing on the image and the debuting idols since that is the kind of expertise they would prob have

I've known the members very well since Ciipher debuted and besides, what Rain did was just irresponsible.. I missed that, okay so he said "I should have bought a house instead of debuting Ciipher?" This is so disrespectful to the members, Rain is wrong and he's being punished. The members had worked hard and went through difficult paths, they had dreams. But Rain turned them all upside down.

People should just realize that there are 100+ kpop group and only 1 or 2 of them are going to be internationally famous. Potential does not mean they are going to get a big break in the future.

Rain needs to decide..Is he a performer OR Is he a Producer/Agent!! Fans WANT NEW TELENT TO CHEER ON!!🙃

People need to realise making a group is same as starting a business. Not everyone have guaranteed success. So I don’t really understand the hate train as so many groups especially in small companies failed in the past.

I've known this for ages that rain was hated by most fans in the music industry but I can't point out the reason. Now I know it all. Lol. I've seen his performance in his old songs before but there is no cheer at all or fans just dead silent on him.

I don't hate him his still a good guy (for many), yet not good as a ceo/manager. He can't manage his own company on his own, he lost his focus and put his ambitions firsts. Maybe this is not his path, i feel bad for mblaq because they are legends who lost they're shine. And there's madtown who has a bigger potential to dominate the scene but sadly they missed manage. And lastly ciipher, i'm so sad for the boys. Hope they never give up they're dreams.

MBLAQ were my favorites and im still to this day disappointed in rain because he wasted such a talented group no one will ever become as talented as MBLAQ their music were unique thier mvs had story it was never boring to watch and they were variety shows legends i miss them and the old kpop so much

So disappointed in Rain. He, out of all people, should know about the struggles as a trainee/raising star trying to make it in this harsh industry. I was there from Rain’s beginnings under JYP since the early 2000’s and I saw how hard he worked and the support he received under JYP helped propelled him in his career. SMH…i don’t know how, but I hope he bounces back from this…

I knew of Madtown and Ciipher, only a few songs, but still. I remember voting for I Like You when it debuted. I didn’t know they were gone🥲

Rain is definitely a legend in the kpop industry and in acting. But even many legends of all fields have something that they're not good at and Rain is no exception. But even with things not working out for Rain in his management of his companies and artists Rain is still a great guy and a legend in my eyes.

MBLAQ was my first K pop group. The way they were mistreated and neglected was painful to see.

I was at the K-Con concert and I thought that he got lots of love! He, of course did not get as much celebration as did Zerobasin( understandably because there were mostly younger people) I am not sure about was is or isn’t truth here…but I have video showing LOTS of love for Rain…be careful not to judge unless we know everything

To me Rain is a better performer than singer. His commanding presence, dancing, and style are what actually stand out. He needs to let the whisper singing go. He should have left on a respected high note. This is not how he wants his music career to end.

I think the commenters don't know about Ciipher. I've been a Ciipher fan since debut, there's nothing the man (Rain) didn't do. He brought his sons from competitions to competitions, even if we were wondering about the history of Cb, he tortured the members by ignoring our comments, you know. It left us wondering! I always felt that the variety show where Cha Eun Woo watches Ciipher wasn’t a “joke” at all. CEW was really pissed at how they were treated. Rain deserves all the funky breath comments he gets.

i think the main cause of internal conflict between idol members is selfishness. working together as a team all the time isnt easy, but its impossible if theyre competing with their own teammates.

Well, I dont know much about rain. But, just dont judge him too hard y'all. Some shits happened that we couldnt see. The fans also must have role here, I think. I've been a CASSIOPEIA like forever, been through shit with the splits and law suits, but we continue supporting them, and fortunately TVXQ! just celebrating their 20th anniversary. MBlaq members are really careful when they talk about rain. But you can tell they kinda don't want to. Rain really could have mentored them and make them super successful. But he wanted the fame for himself more. Which sucks cause I know Mblaq's albums and let me tell you. If you liked their main track their B tracks are just phenomenal. this is so stupid. seriously if u own a company, invest and selling products, but products didnt give profit u expected, will u still invest in it and keep losing profit? fan only see idol as idol, but company see them as product. it not easy to raise an idol group, but it more harder to maintain it. rain might be 1 of investor and manage them, but im sure there are alot of other investor involved. decision probably not by him alone. in the end, ppl just want someone to be blame off.

I don't remember who said it, (I think it was either Jay Park or Zico, who are creating / had created their kpop boy groups) but boy groups make a lot of money once they are successful. I think Rain just wanted the easy-cash and then dump them before they got bigger than him. Rain needs a wakeup-call that he is no longer famous, especially after he got married (which is a common reason most idol-fans leave).

People needs to realize Rain is not management type because himself is entertainer. He doesn’t know how management works. If any artist starts to open they’re company you need to be careful because they might not know how to manage things correctly which they will sell and make profit for themself. They are not going to worry about other but themself. Rain is part of it too.

To be fair Ciipher didn't seem like the type of group which would survive in K-pop. I don't mean to be harsh. But k-pop is a relentless world. Even if Ciipher was being managed by other companies they would still disband sooner than expected. Try to see the situation from the perspective of a CEO, especially when you have invested your life in a product. If it's not beneficial, then you gotta pull the plug. Unfortunately it happens often. MBLQ was such a shame though, they could've been as big as 2PM, TVXQ, big bang or other big groups of their generation.

내가 말해줄께 비는 직접 2개의 그룹을 만들었어. 엠블랙은 비의 인지도로 인기를 끌었어. 하지만 비가 군대간 이후 다른 관리자로 넘어가면서 하락세가 되었어. 그 이후 2명이 솔로선언을 하면서 해체됐어. 싸이퍼는 3번째 앨범까지 많은 지원을 받았어. 비도 2-3년 뒤에 더 잘될거라면서 기대한다고 했어. 하지만 5년 열애금지를 어기고 팬들이 보는 sns에 데이트사진을 올렸고 그 뒤에 싸이퍼 sns는 멈췄어. 비는 아주 어렵게 데뷔하고 성공했기때문에 이해받지못했을거야. 결국 많은 멤버가 탈퇴했지만 나는 비를 비난하지않아. 한국에서는 싸이퍼를 너무 많이 홍보한다고 할정도로 비는 그들을 지원했어. 방치했다는건 전혀 사실이 아니야.

So when he created his company again and debuting chiiper, i was like, why? Why he did it again? Will he treated those guys well? Will it repeat again? Yeah, i'm not sure with him for day 1. Especially keita is there, i'm worried abt him. After all he's been through. And yeah, it's happen again. It's even worst. At least, he made mblaqpretty good, more properly. They had their own genre and style. Even lee joon have his own career as an actor. But not with chiiper. They just like copied other succesful bg, nothing unique and special. They didn't have their own color. Like people will forget them easily. It's such a shame when they had many potentials tho. But yeah..i never believe in rain at the first place tho.
