*This doesn't even make sense. ..it's that the whole purpose that the casket IS consumed by nature 😐....ashes to ashes ..dust to dust*
@joefranks4235
@joefranks4235 6 месяцев назад
How do you figure it doesn't make sense? The vault, regardless of the casket is to make sure the ground doesn't sink over time. The vault regardless of what you get is totally utilitarian. No matter the seal, the body will still decompose. Another reason not to buy such an expensive casket that is only seen maybe for three days.

Damaging the contents? What do you think? That the client is come come out all fresh to attend his/her grand/grand/ children funeral!! The funeral industry wants you to believe of some kind of eternity for your body!! Remember ashes to ashes, earth to earth ! Only in America!!!

Well if you die under mysterious circumstances then it makes it easier to dig you up and retest your remains
@SuperCoasterfreaks
@SuperCoasterfreaks 3 года назад
@@matthewcaughey8898 actually, sealed vaults is a good way to get an exploding casket because all of those gases are trapped in the casket and vault. Natural decomposition is best (especially if you may need to exhume.) Of course they want you to feel safe knowing your loved one is protected from any outside elements; so they do have that option available.

What a bunch of BS. I know someone who got conned into spending $13,000 for one of these. The funeral ending up costing nearly $40,000 as a result.

Damaging the contents of the casket.....you will putrefy in the casket, no matter what preservation you use. Why would you want to hamper the natural decomposition of your (or anyone's) body? Why spend tens of thousands for a funeral, go with cremation or, do a natural burial, wrap the body in a shroud and bury

I dunno about all the time. I thought airtight caskets and vaults keep you from decomposing. I just watched a video on a girl that was buried for 50 years and was “uncorrupted” as they put it. I’d think if the airtight seal is kept then theoretically the body could stay preserved as bacteria can’t survive without oxygen.
@rosemaryrogers1478

The Islamic tradition of burial is to wrap the body in a shroud and place the body directly in the earth facing Mecca..a lot of Islamic burials do not follow the proper guidelines
@gillesbasson6783
@gillesbasson6783 Год назад
@@RazorRevenge yes many funeral homes and funeral directors will lead you to believe that the body will be preserved forever. If you put it in an airtight container, the opposite is true. There are anaerobic bacteria that still decompose the body. If there is no air, they don’t need air to decompose, and will make the body into a liquefied soup!

Vaults are required by most cemeteries. The reason being as the casket decays over the years the ground will keep settling creating a depression. The vaults stop that from happening
@phantomofky69
@phantomofky69 День назад
a vault just makes groundskeeping easier by not allowing the ground to collapse the casket and leave a low spot that has to be filled in and reseeded.

This is b.s I use to be a grave digger and we had to sometimes dig these up and move them to other cemeteries because the family moved and wanted to be closer to there family and everyone we dug up was full of water, we had to knock a hole in them to empty all the water just to get it out of the ground its a water trap your family members will be floating in water for eternity, dont use these they are a gimmick

The funeral and most everything that goes along with it is for the remaining family.. a way to help with the grieving process. The funeral industry has taken care of the dead, made it easier for families, and found ways to be relevant for most religions. and the extremely talented have recreated, repaired, and sometimes even temporarily reversed the ravages of illness, trauma, and death. ultimately it's up to us as individuals, family members, and society at large to change those traditions and find better ways to honor our deceased without the necessary cost and pomp and circumstance.

I know I am young still, but when the time comes I want to opt for either natural burial or cremation. I'm not sure which is better, but I want to skip the embalming, casket, vault route.

That's fine and all but technically aren't we supposed to leave the body to the earth so that the soul can go to heaven properly. I would rather be cremated or wrapped in cloth and buried with a tombstone over my burial site.

I bought a Wilbert Monticello vault about six years ago when I made and paid for my funeral plans. Our local funeral director made me a very nice deal, but at the time (2016) it ran $1195. They make ‘em here in central Arkansas, just outside Benton.

Everyone on RU-vid seems to be a funeral and cemetery industry expert. Somebody who actually works in the industry and isn’t stupid is who you want to gain insight from, and as such person I can tell you there is a huge difference alone between a sealed vs. unsealed vault. Too many idiots on here that need to stay in their own lane.

Families already going threw hard times are being scammed by a predatory industry when they're valuable. My grandma was scammed for 12k for a bunch of nonsense, that's why I'm here. If you're okay with people getting fed lies and made to think they have to spend money they don't need to, sit down and let the grown ups talk.
