@@battleofukraine9299 The only thing prior to this season that helped me cope was the hope that Leclerc's talent would be enough to challenge one day for a title. Then they fired Binnoto. Since they've hired Vasseur I've been extremely happy about the consistency Ferrari has shown barring the mid-season slump. This is the happiest I've been as a Ferrari fan because, they are finally not a clown show anymore. (Although I hope I don't jinx it)
Car number 16 driven by driver number 16 needs to outscore Max, who was born 16 days before his birthday with averagely 16 points per race in order to win the Championship, and WDC number 16 for Ferrari.
I am mostly impressed by their very low tyre deg. As Carlos Sainz said, you can go just flat out. That is a huge advantage, I have no idea how they made it.
Even though Lewis likes a stronger rear end, both Charles and Lewis actually drive the same style of line and both have extremely smooth inputs. They both are able to get the car rotated and turned in early. I’m excited to see how they perform against each other.
@@THY.HERO_x yes Jenson button told that he brakes very late then comes out of the corner fighting and working the wheels whereas Charles brakes early as miki explained in video. Charles style is close to max. But good thing is Ferrari turns well. Idk what will happen next yr bcz lewis biggest struggle are tyres. If tyre properties continue to be the same he's cooked.
Let's not forget their big weakness in qualis. Even if they have a very fast race car, we saw how their quali pace prevented them from performing well in singapore, zandvoort, hungary, silverstone, canada etc. We will probably see the same in tracks like Mexico, abu dhabi and qatar where overtaking is pretty hard.
That’s probably where having Leclerc is a big factor to get this package to work. Sacrificing a bit on saturday to get the better out of sunday. I was pretty sure heading into the race on sunday a Ferrari would win after seeing their pace in the sprint. Even if Charles hadn’t gotten that mega start to the race.
Wrong on tracks like Mexico and Qatar it’s all about race pace go back and watch the 2023 race and Sprint Ferrari was eating the tyres in Qatar Mexico was a bit better but on both tracks is maximizing Tyre management important note the 2018 merc got beat by 1 min by max and seb in the race a championship winning car … If Ferrari aren’t f up the setup in Brazil , Mexico and Qatar there pretty much in the mix and probs the Favorite on them tracks and if there is new asphalt like cota like Monza then Ferrari could dominate these races and I believe that Mexico has got a new asphalt too or at least had one last year Brazil apparently got new asphalt after that disaster last year and Qatar and Abu Dhabi defo have or at least had in previous years…. These new resurfaced track with new Asphalt always favored Ferrari
@@francescotrombetta8548 in canada charles had engine issues costing him almost a second a lap and carlos had floor damage costing him half a second. If you factor that out, their race pace was pretty good. In silverstone, there was a stage where carlos was the fastest guy on track. He could have been p3/p4 had he qualified in top 3.
It's not as simple as that. Ferrari struggle to get enough heat into the tyres in qualifying. As long as track temperatures don't fall below 40°C, Ferrari are fine (they were very competitive at Monza and Baku). The car is also a little peaky in quali spec, especially through highspeed corners, but makes more than up for it in the race.
For a sprint weekend format, the fact that they didn't bring any upgrades and had a well known config might have actually been an advantage for them. Aside from that, Red Bull messed up their setup for sunday, so I wouldn't get too excited honestly.
50/50 even from the sprint you could See Ferrari had the pace to be quicker then max issue only was Track position after the start was poor and then loosing each other time by battling I could have guaranteed if Sainz and Charles didn’t battle for 4 laps straight at least one of them could have got a shoot a max on the last 2 laps
RB didn't mess up their balance in Sunday, the Ferraris were also faster in Saturday, but they fought each other half the sprint instead of quickly hunt Norris lol
RB literally kept the same car after sprint. I'm not getting excited but to say RB messed up is not even a correct statement lol. They were just slow. It would've been visible in Sprint as well, had Carlos stuck to the plan to look after the tyres initially like Charles. Both Lando and Max would've been caught and passed by both Ferraris just like the race.
I swear Ferrari is always the mid season champions. The same conversation played out in 21, 22, 23, and now 24. I'm saying this as a Ferrari fan too which is upsetting.
They managed to refine what they brought earlier. Some time has passed since monza, they understood what should work and how it should work, and this often turns out to be more important than constantly adding new pieces to the puzzle that silently change this and that.
Yeah yeah, beginning of the season RBR was unbeatable.. halfway in the season Mclaren was unbeatable, and now ferrari is the front runner for the rest of the season and next season?! Lets see what happens first lol
I was one of the few ppl who was against the first upgrade coming so fast the car was very strong to start the season and the imola upgrade was a big step back and it took the team too long to fix the problem just keep the car as is until your forced to
Tbf they have had a pretty good car through the whole year, consistently the second best car but without dominant performances like RB at the start of the season or McLaren at the end of it. Personally I see it pretty difficult for them to snatch the Constructors championship after Sainz crash in Baku and botj drovers performing terrible in qualy with the fastest car in Singapore. All options were lost with those mistakes. But hey, Max and Lando can crash each other out of a race any moment now.
0:34 no... they had pace right from Monza in Baku They were faster than McLaren in.first stint and Leclerc was all over Piastri until the last 8 laps. McLaren gained the advantage in the mini DRS. In Singapore Leclerc was the only one matching the race pace of Norris they stuck in the back... The only problem with the car is that it is bad witj the soft tyers in the qualifying. That was affected them in both Singapore and now in COTA. By optimising the Monza and singapore Front wings good enough make the car up with the Mclaren. But Stella was saying they expected COTA as their weakest track in the final races so we need to wait for next weekend to find out how good the McLaren really is with the upgrades they will optimise it good in Mexico. They may haven't got the chance in Austin because its a sprint weekend. Anyway Last year we had a car which is great in Quali but bad in Race pace. Now it seems the other way around. Very much excited for 2025 and how will the car be i think a new upgrade will also come to work in the progress with next years car for the longer term too..😊
The fact they were so quick with no upgrades tells me their car simply suited this specific track better. For the remaining races id expect them to drop back behind McLaren and possibly red bull also unfortunately...
They upgraded the front wing, something that doesn't need to be declared because the geometry is the same as it was in Singapore. It flexes more, so cuts oversteer at high speeds.
Its probably because the other teams have yet to find the balance with the upgrades with their cars since it was a sprint weekend also the Ferrari have had great tyre degradation since the start of the season
I expected Ferrari to be strong after practice, but certainly not this dominant(!). They were especially quick through the long slow speed corners in S3 at COTA (Leclerc pulled out 0.15 on Verstappen in T16 alone). This bodes well for Mexico, as there are many slow speed corners there and almost no fast turns. As for the rest, we'll have to see. Ferrari might actually struggle at Vegas, because of the very low track temperatures. They often struggle to get enough heat into the tyres this season. One thing that's encouraging about the SF-24: It doesn't seem to have any weakness (apart from quali). The car works in every type of corner, is great on its tyres and has decent top speed.
They actually did upgrade their front wing but didn't have to declare it because it was a composite material change and not a change to the actual geometry. The front wing is the exact same design but the change to the carbon fiber composite they used should allow it to flex more like McLaren and Mercedes' front wings.
I am a fan of Charles and Ferrari , from my point is the balance of the car , tyre degradation is less and braking has improved drastically . Easier to control on corners and set up for acceralation is much better too
Thanks for the video - Looking forward to your thoughts on Mexico and the various engine manufacturer's - does Red Bull's Honda still hold an advantage?
I’m still kind of confused as to why so many teams decided to bring upgrades during a sprint weekend. I get there was a huge break, but with only a single practice session teams were just asking for trouble.
While I can dream of a Charles WDC, I think Ferrari finishing second in the constructors is quite likely, unless Checo can steal points from Charles/Charles.
As a Ferrari Fan for a long time Ferrari need to show consistent wins after Austin if they can Nab 4 more wins before the season is over, I'm gonna like how they'll be next season and ecspcially since the G.O.A.T is coming to Ferrari this Brotha is Happy.
Ferrari should be strong at both next races, especially at Interlagos. Even if they get 1 win at these 2 races, the constructors championship is within grasp.
The biggest improvent is that both drivers are super strong in the same spec, something that we haven’t seen from them before. Charles in start of 22 was stronger than Carlos, Carlos stronger for 1/3 of last season and Carlos at the start of this year. Finally they have found a window that allows both drivers to push like they want.
It is a big change not seeing Ferrari going out the back door at the end of the season. Let hope it continues this way. On the other hand, many teams brought upgrades to a sprint weekend. This seems a little risky getting a setup that works great so maybe this was a one off. Let hope not.
Still think it’s a bit too early to call for sure, the top 4 only had 1 practice to maximize the new packages, so I think Mexico will be the true signifier
Tbh I would wait until the end of the season to see if they actually have what it takes to be THAT team again. Even this year there has been evidence of them dropping the ball whenever there was a talk about a potential title charge. Especially after successful weekends like Monaco & Monza. Also the car still needs to prove that it can perform under slightly colder conditions. Austin was another hot weekend which was always going to favour the Ferrari.
@@francescotrombetta8548 I was actually referring to operational errors from the team & drivers. They should’ve won in Baku but lost it because team & driver(s) became too complacent during the race. In Singapore they were easily the 2nd fastest team, but both drivers messed up in Q3.
@@yessir3433 their strategy was correct in baku, the only reason they didn't win was because piastri had an illegal rear wing that gave him those +2/3 kph on the straight that made him not fighting hard leclerc
I am a Ferrari fan. It's great to see this kind of form from them which has been there for several GPs but they couldn't capatilize on that. Most importantly though, I am afraid that they are going to rue for the Canadian GP mishap and the disastrous pit call for Charles at the British GP that probably will cost them the constructors' championsip.
This race was dominant but like Mercedes they have also had some terrible races, McLaren has been consistent everywhere. I would like to see Hamilton dominate in red though
Dude everyone was singing McLaren’s praises like this just the other week. This was an extremely convincing performance by Ferrari, but it’s just one race.
They aren’t the dominant one after one race, need to see how they do again. Remember they already said that McLaren said COTA was a bit of a bogie track for them
No chance for the WDC but team championship is absolutely reachable. That said, I don't believe they will make it because of their traditional mess ups in critical moments of the season.
For 2025 Ferrari put themselves like 2021 in the perfect spot to jump ahead McLaren and Red Bull bring upgrades this late in the year while Ferraris last upgraded was Monza and both McLaren and Red Bull probably still need to bring upgrades to stay ahead or get that one bit winning advantage over the rest … Ferrari is realistic they know driver championship is over and Constructer is a long shot so just getting the best results for the last 5 races and try to be even better then this year and that for most of the year and not having a poor summer again because that cost the chance of being in the fight this year
Anyone talking about Hamilton not going to Ferrari to play 2nd fiddle to Charles? I’m waiting for the team implosion next year. It’s going to be glorious.
There is no doubt that Ferrari had an amazing race in Austin. Taking the lead gave LeClerc the chance to race in clear air while it took an early pit-stop to get Sainz ahead of Max as he could not do it 'on track'. In Mexico, the Red Bull team has the top speed advantage and has now, virtually sorted out their setup gremlins on both cars, so we expect the best driver currently 'on track' to win with his team mate behind him. Ha-ha
It'll be back to pure settings from next week, Lando will get more points😂😂... Just that Max will win his 4th WDC, but Ferrari will finish 2nd in constructors, behind McLaren this season... 2025 will be hopeful for Ferrari🎉and I can't wait
In Monaco GP everyone was saying this ... Then in Monza GP again.... I'm all for that Ferrari is fast and McLaren and Mercedes but let's first see this last races and then we could talk about
It's a shame to see Carlos not drive this car again next year! We will be forever wondering what he could have done with it, if it becomes the frontrunner next year (i hope).
I really like Carlos, and the brotherhood between him and Charles appears genuine. I think I'm a bigger fan of Carlos than Hamilton, but I'm still curious to see what Hammy can do with a decent red car.
My only hope (a weak one) is to see them fight for the wcc till abu dhabi and pray that they'll make it, i'm not delusional to think that they'll now score a 1-2 every race (hopefully tho) or that Charles will reduce the gap to Max (impossible)
QUESTION! Ferrari will change suspension in 2025 for a better air flow etc so will it effect their start of the season and will they be able to keep the momentum going bcz it'll effect how they set up the car?
He was the one who put the pieces together but he wasn't the one who made Ferrari unbeatable and dominant for so many years, that was Montezemolo who built the whole team
Ferrari has been the fastest for 1 weekend which turned out to be a sprint weekend which meant less time for Mclaren and Redbull to dail in upgrades. We need to be patient instead of saying that Ferrari are front runners already. Yes Ferrari is looking good and might keep this up with the upgrades coming, but we need to wait until we've atleast 1 proper weekend for Redbull and Mclaren to dail in their cars. But 2025 is looking hopeful for Ferrari yes, especially with Lewis coming in
Theoretically probably true. In reality, im pretty sure they will find a way to screw up next year. I hope im wrong though. I want to see them win at least a constructor championship in near future.
