As a young 24 year old i have issues with overly dry food, i get the hiccups if something is too dry, im lucky that im young enough to be able to spit it out if i can't swallow. My brother has a colostomy bag and cant have peas or corn because its hard to digest, but it was a pain to get the nursing home to understand that, they also kept confusing my brother with another patient and so would give him thickened water, like its amazing he hasn't died yet because the people that should care that old/disabled people should live are usually not in the business of caring for them. They keep them dehydrated and impacted.
