Why French Matters - Adam Gopnik 

I simply enjoy Adam Gopnik contributions to any conversation. He's at once eloquent and folksy, which a rare combination. This in both his writing and speaking. BTW, I'm wondering about Gopnik's Americans in Paris and the recent release of David McCullough's book on the same subject matter...gonna have to look at that further.
