Why gaming isn’t fun anymore… (worth watching)

If we gave todays hardware to the devs of the past theyd make something truly magical. Today the coorporations have drained the soul of gaming and absolutely rinsed the cash cow that it is and has removed the passion for not only making but playing games too, with things like crunch and excessive and unnecessary grind...

I cant say that i dont enjoy gaming because i do.But i can say that i enjoyed it more before.I loved playing minecraft with my brother ans we made a ton of memories playing mimecrat.I still feel the same about minecrat now.But other games give me a different feel.I love cod cold war it was fun but from tim to time i would get upset becausemy team wont poay the objective.I got over it tho because it was more fun than annoying.However warzone 2 makes me not want to play at all.Its annoying and not fun unless i win.Which shouldnt be the case.Problem is many games prioritize you gettig addicted to the game than actually loving it.I played cod world at war and even though it was less than warzone 2 it was tons of fun.Why?Because it wa simple yet fun and even when i die to a crawler in zombies its still fun.The most fun i have now it playing minecraft casually with some friends or putting on some heavy metal and trying my ahh off in capture the flag.But i actually have fun there.Gaming hasnt died isjust become less enjoyable.

if you dont need first person view, like zombies, and aint scared to take care of your character in a apocalypse world, Project zomboid will let you go back to those times with your friends.

All of these “video games are not fun anymore” videos YALL be making INCLUDING YOU can be dumb downed to “I played 5000 hours on this game since I was a child and now I find it boring so now all games are boring” like just find a new variety of games dude and to help heres games to play or full on franchises Resident evil (all of it, it’s a horror game just get it) Fatal frame (it’s almost like resident evil but creepier) Roblox (THOUSANDS OF GAMES FOR FREE) Helltaker (get some demon waifus and it’s free) Coffee talk (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRY THIS YOULL CRY) A hat in time (my ultimate number 1 FAVOURITE game, it’s a cute 3d platformer game that also has story and 3 dlcs it’s also indie) Potion craft (brew potion give customer) Detroit become human (multiple endings story’s and different storylines depending on your choices) Stray (cute cat game) Cat cafe (it’s a indie cafe game where you serve customers drinks and learning recipes) Happy cat tavern (test out your keyboard typing skills) Octarina (physics based 3d puzzle Octo game) Townscapes (no goal just have fun and design and build :3) House flipper (you furnish houses and fix them) Baldis basics and education and learning, (a indie game that started out as free but now is finished and is paid) Little nightmares 2 and 1 (horror cozy game) Horizon new dawn and it’s sequal (best PlayStation game, just play it it’s a amazing one) Identity v (free version of dbd but it’s with dolls and most characters are so cute!!!) Raft (you and optionally a friend, live in a raft and have to survive, the latest update added a story I believe so enjoy!) That’s all fellas! was recently playing sleeping dogs on my xbox and have been addicted to the game dude the combat is so good its worth the fun and enjoyment and I get where your coming from with these newer games coming out it just isn't fun anymore shit my first spider-man game I've played was the ps1 version I loved it

RU-vid is taking the fun of games from me. The amount of META BUILD!, 10 THINGS YOU NEED TO DO! Videos even before the games release is just stupid. There is no trying out new builds, no exploring by youself. All just take those Meta builds from youtube and you dont see many more new builds. Its not about having fun anymore or explore new aspects of the game, its just to be the best. Fuck. Even in fall guys there where videos called "Fall Guys Pro -- jada jada" its a party game and people make it instantly competetive.

2018 was probably the last year I enjoyed games. God of War Spider Man Red Dead etc after that the burnout kicked in and it just wasn't the same...

The reason you're not having fun playing games anymore is because you're only playing EA and Ubisoft games. Play some indie games or old Valve games, like TF2, and don't play console, you open up a whole new *galaxy* of opportunities with PC. Don't bother getting a top of the line one, or building one if you're not confident. Get a hand-me-down PC from a few years ago (my laptop from 2015 and still runs my favorite games, just at lower graphics sometimes, I've since gotten a decent rig but a bad GPU) and I've almost never run out of things to play. Look up some random games, even if you don't think they're your style, and just give them a try. I never thought I'd be into strategy games, now I train the hell out of my brain with them. I thought the only shooter I would ever like would be TF2, not anything hardcore (COD and Battlefield aren't hardcore, they just have edgy, unrealistic graphics) but I play Squad and Hell Let Loose constantly, games where you actually have to work *with* your team and not shit talk everyone like in those other shitty shooters. If you truely can't get into gaming, that's totally fine, but I'm dead honest with you, you haven't even scratched the surface of the surface.
