Genshin Impact is getting worse. Random pulls, team metas, Adventure Ranks, these all contribute to a bigger issue. And no amount of guides, free primogems, and ideal team comps will solve the flaws in the game.

It's interesting because on the one hand, if you aren't keeping up it becomes overwhelming, but if you ARE keeping up it ends up being boring and you run out of content to exhaust waiting for the next update.
@era2s
@era2s Год назад
the main reason is people playing 24/7 rushing and crashing through content then demanding for more IMMEDIATELY, I play a LOT ALOT like 10+ hrs a day? but i still havent done a lot of content, hell my liyue is not even 100 exploration, its probably just a matter of understanding genshin is a casual game
@Lackofstyle
@Lackofstyle Год назад
@@era2s Yeah the the issue is the game wants you to rush. Most major events are locked to you having completed whatever the current story quest are, so when start as a new player the game basically forces you to burn through the story as quickly as possible or you won't be able to play the current of future events This is especially bad since like he said, major story events happen within these events
@princen632
@princen632 Год назад
@@Lackofstyle they actually solved it by making the event have an early access option where you won't need to do a story quest but they also warned you about spoilers or the story not making sense if you haven't done the required story quest. Example is the perilous trail event where you meet Itto without unlocking inazuma first.

The reason is because a significant portion of new content every month is limited-time content that is increasingly being gated behind certain quests. So for players who aren't caught up with the story (either because they're new or because they just don't have that much free time), there's a big rush to complete all the story quests in time for the event.

Yeah almost every gacha game give you the opportunity to play events for the story but you get none of the rewards, which is the right thing to do because active players have some exclusivity but everyone else can enjoy the story later. I started playing in December 2021 and personally I thought the smartest way to go about timed events would’ve been for them to remain timed but not according to real time- rather you unlock them when you reach the point in the game where that event’s information becomes important and relevant, like you access lantern rite when you finish the Liyue Archon quest, you get access to Albedo’s events after you’ve finished Eula and Albedo’s story quests and Bennett’s hangout. That would’ve been so much smarter so players would still be put on a time limit but they’d actually be able to PLAY the timed content the Genshin programmers worked so hard to make ** the replies added the idea that events should be downloadable so when you’re done you can delete them and they won’t take up space or once the time limit is up they delete themselves and those are ideal ideas as well

The biggest issues the community has with the game is definitely the lack of replayable content and the artifact system being tied to resin. They devs put so much work on new game modes and mechanics for events that the players love, but then remove them once the event ends. Spiral Abyss is the only permanent mode that has any real rotations to it in terms of enemies and gimmicks. The sad thing is that some people don't try to clear it due to the somewhat disappointing rewards and the amount of mid-maxing they'd have to do to make 2 viable teams.
@Nixahma
@Nixahma Год назад
I kinda disagree with that last part? Spiral Abyss doesn't necessarily require min-maxing. You can clear floor 12 with subpar characters so long as you adjust your comp to each chamber, for example, I couldn't 3* chamber 2 until I used a scuffed version of National with Diluc (with very bad stats compared to my second, "minmaxed" and actually properly built team). The rest is all true though.

Yes and no. If permanent game modes have no long-term valuable rewards like gacha currency, character/weapon/artifact select, then there would be reason to replay them after few runs. If such game modes would give such rewards, then FOMO to complete them would be strong. Sure, old players who completed everything else would be fine and probably actually happy, but anyone not sitting at AR57+ probably not. Honkai Impact already have such issue with too many permanent and temporary events to catch up, especially when you're still haven't cleared story stages nor you're particularly well built with your characters.

@@Panocek the only reason it's like that in Genshin is because the only worthwhile resource in the game is gacha currency, most other rewards they give out is just junk weapons nobody will use anyway or artifacts you'll just use to level up your main ones. The closest thing right now is the realm currency but that is terrible. One thing that really annoys me is how every so often Traveler will mention something about characters/events that, in my POV, have never happened. Why? Because what happened took place during a limited time event. For example, in the current GAA event, when the team went into a cave they found a note left by Albedo. It threw me off because Traveler and Paimon referred to Albedo as a “friend” when I had never done a quest that involved him apart from Klee mentioning him at one point. They also mentioned that Albedo had been to those islands before. Now, I knew that the information came from limited events, as I had somewhat kept up with the game not long after it’s release (I just never played it until I could download it on my phone about a month and a half ago), but it’s just annoying how so much lore is lost. Like, had I never heard of the event I would have so many questions. What were they doing on those islands before? What even happened? How did Albedo get there? How did Traveler and Paimon know about this? Was there anyone else there? I’ve seen playthroughs of limited events on RU-vid, but it peeves me that I can’t experience it first hand. Would it kill the devs to keep the limited quests up? They could just remove the limited edition rewards from it to “balance it out”. That way new players aren’t confused when it turns out that Traveler and Paimon are besties with someone said players have never even heard of before and the event still keeps that limited flair to it. I mean, you’re literally playing as the Traveler, so it’s a little off-putting when you miss a huge chunk of information when you’re supposed to be experiencing everything the Traveler does throughout the playable parts of the game. It’s like a series releasing a Christmas episode and then deleting it after Christmas passed, only to then occasionally reference it throughout the rest of the series, forcing people who missed it to watch it through illegal sites or crappy reaction videos if they want to understand.
@lumini3172
@lumini3172 Год назад
@Sploofie Yes, lmao, I’m doing Kokomi’s at the moment. I’m talking specifically about content from event quests. For one, I was only rank 35 when I started the GAA (couldn’t get past the second ascension domain), so I didn’t have any of the 5* story quests unlocked, meaning Albedo still hadn’t been officially introduced to me. For two, the dialogue I commented on is seemingly referring to the last GAA event, which I could not do as I had no means to play Genshin at that time. It’s annoying that the game expects me to have either participated in the event, or have watched someone else play it instead of A. Not making dialogue that alludes to the player knowing characters from that event or B. @Sploofie No, it definitely wasn’t. They specifically said that he had been to those islands before, and referenced things that had happened there. And also, it really isn’t the same as that, since each season of Fortnite is pretty much an entire reset of the game, not just a quest (although I could be wrong as I’ve never played Fortnite, I’m just going from what I’ve heard my little brother talking about). It’s nothing like keeping a quest up but taking limited rewards from it.
@lumini3172
@lumini3172 Год назад
@Sploofie 1. There’s already chronological issues, lol As I said, I had not officially met Albedo and yet Aether and Paimon were talking about him and calling him a “friend”. Now when I do Albedo’s story quest they’ll both act as if they’ve never met him before. The same thing happened with Itto and his story quest. I first met him during the music festival event, but once again Aether and Paimon were like, “That sounds like Itto,” and all that, clearly knowing him pretty well. But obviously they had no idea who he was when I started his story quest _after_ the event. This could already confuse someone, but that’s just how it is. No-one’s forcing you to do quests or events. And also, I’m pretty sure they have disclaimers to let you know when you start certain events that stuff might not make sense unless you do another quest first. I mean, I had to do like 4 different story quests before I could finish the last Archon quest. They could continue with that with event quests. 2. Why can’t they? It’s not like there’s some limit to how many quests you can put in a game. How many optional story quests are there? And there’s ones with like 10 different endings, as well. (Edit: There’s also an insane amount of world quests, and some of them hold A LOT of lore. The ones for Enkanomiya and Tsurumi Island being a couple of examples.) Again, it’s not like they would force people to do event quests, it would just be side stuff that players could do for Mora or materials or just because they’re bored or something. And what about mobile players? I’m a mobile player but I don’t expect the devs to cater to me lol. If they did they would never be able to update the game, as not everyone has enough space on their phones with the game as it is. That’s not to mention all the upcoming things. And even if they did want to worry so much about mobile players, they could make it a dlc thing, like with the different language audios and stuff. Then if you want to do the event quests, you can download it, but if you don’t have enough space, you have the option not to. I’m not asking for a miracle here, I honestly don’t know why you’re being so defensive. It was just something that peeved me, not a personal attack on you, the devs, or the game lmao
@lumini3172
@lumini3172 Год назад
@Sploofie That is entirely different. For example, when I did Itto’s event, I was lost, obviously, but his story quest is a permanent fixture to the game. Like watching a later episode of a series and not understanding anything that’s going on, but being able to go back to earlier episodes and say, “Oh, what happens later makes sense now,” instead of never being able to watch the earlier episodes. There’s chronological issues, yes, but anybody can easily make sense of them when the past events are still available to them. It’s just not in the right order. Again, the information is at least always available in the story quest, rather than all that lore being lost in an event quest. HoYo literally did that exact thing with Perilous Trails II. Wasn’t it considered an event for that version of the game? It’s a permanent quest now. And again, I suggested that they have _limited rewards_ that _will_ be taken away once the event is over. That way no lore is lost, there’s still limited stuff, and everyone can be on the same page story-wise. And I don’t understand bringing OG players into this. Like, those events are in the past, and there’s going to be new events like every update. They wouldn’t lose anything-I’m confused about the thought process that they wouldn’t have anything special? It’s special that not everyone can participate in events? I’m sorry, I just don’t understand that point :/
@lumini3172
@lumini3172 Год назад
@Sploofie If the rewards are the main point of events then I fail to see what problem would come with keeping the events up, just without the rewards. And I’m not talking about things that don’t have “personalities” such as seelie pets and skins. My main problem is with how much lore is lost, as I’ve said many times before. For example, the music festival didn’t have much lore. You just said hello to the Arataki gang, played songs, and then got rewards. Simple. For stuff like that it makes perfect sense to end it after a short period. But for quests like SAS, it doesn’t make sense to put so much lore into a time-gated event. I saw dozens of players who missed the event because they didn’t even know it was time-gated and had taken a break from the game. Believe me, _a lot_ of people complained about the very same thing and openly stated how annoyed they were that HoYo put so much story into something so temporary. Just look up a play through of the quest and look through the comments. Lots of people weren’t happy. What about the OG players in that case? The ones who took a break or had some other reason for not being able to participate? Such huge amounts of lore shouldn’t be exclusive like that. I wasn’t asking HoYo to preserve every single event, I was merely pointing out how inconvenient it is to miss a huge chunk of lore just because you weren’t (or couldn’t be, in my case, as I knew of Genshin and wanted to play but didn’t have the means to do so) playing the game when it took place.

The thing is, theoretically you can go to Liyue or Dragonspine or Sumeru without finishing Mondstadt archon quest. It is Inazuma that is closed off in the story that's why we can't go there. @@Juslin7989 I can't say anything about difficulty spike because the only weapons I lvl up to 90 are event ones, they are so easy to upgrade, and all my characters are lvl 80. I don't have many meta characters too - no Ganyu, Ayaka or Hu Tao. I am lazy like that. I thought that whatever happened with lvl 93 enemies in Inazuma kicking my lvl 70 Raiden hard was just lvl difference lol. I guess one can unga bunga any enemy in Mondstadt and Liyue without thinking (except for wooden shield mitachurls that are much easier with pyro in the team... And geo shield enemies that can be broken with claymore or geo characters... And teleporting shielded cicin mages... And invisible teleporting fatui agents that are much better frozen... And hiding in the soil whopperflowers and dendro slimes... And that small elemental flies that are so hard to aim at without a catalyst... And literally any enemy that has some weakness against some element or weapon that can be exploited, lol), but make people use a little bit of strategy and it is suddenly too hard I guess? A catalyst and off field support like Yanfei+Fishl is really good for spectres, for example, and overload that many players don't like for knocking enemies further away comes in handy with them. They are the same as elemental flies in Liyue, just tankier and with that explosion in the end. They literally scream "don't come closer, aim better, use reactions to amplify dmg", and that's with every other enemy in Inazuma too. Yes, many enemies can't be grouped with anemo. But that's OK. Some enemies ignore shield, some ignore crowd control, for some you need a certain element or weapon to work - it was always there and no one complained that they can't beat hydro slimes with Barbara or geo cube needed geo or claymore to beat it quickly. Are people that attached to one team that they are not willing to try any other? Any enemy has a weakness that some people just don't want to exploit I guess. And with Inazuma opened only at ar 45, if I am not mistaken, at least 4-8 different characters should be lvled up enough (to lvl 70 with 50:130 crits and 1500 atk, how many of my characters are built, for example) to take it on. Plus, starter regions in any game are a sandbox for noobs, of course it won't have anything too hard to help newer players understand the concept and basic things about the game so they could use things they learned later on. Liyue and Dragonspine introduced new, harder enemies and mechanics that were challenging at the time too, but I don't see people talking about Dragonspine's difficulty now. I don't think difficulty spike is that bad - it is still manageable even without fully built characters on the last world lvl if the player in question understands the basic strategy that was shown to him in the starter regions. About the second thing you said, exploration is literally the heart of the game? You just go wherever you see, it's not that hard... And opening new archon statues shows bosses on the map. You just go and explore I guess. That's the charm, stumbling upon some kind of overgrown flower and discovering that's the one you needed for a character upgrade. And there are so many guides and tutorials all over the internet and now in game too - from enemy placements in the adventure book to literal build guides on talent and artifacts pages. You just need.....to read it. Wow, crazy. Tldr; if one doesn't use the tools and tutorials literally given in the game, they shouldn't say that something is too hard. Use everything you are given ffs.

At least to me, this is what drives me mostly to get as good artifacts as possible so i can get rid of them asap, but it's a really sad realization too. The quests are probably one of the biggest problems in my opinion. In most cases, I have to do like six prerequisite quests before a limited event, and then speed run that event because it’s ending soon. We meet again with a character though we’ve never actually met with that character, leaving most confused and scrambling to figure out what they missed. The main mondstadt quest made sense, they introduced you to characters slowly, and kept it important. They shouldn’t have quests we’re never going to see again contain such important information, but instead have these limited quests be optional, and just for fun. The quests being like this will only screw over newer players who enjoy the story aspect more than the combat, or only started playing because the story seemed interesting. I had no idea the quest with scaramouche existed. I don’t think a lot of players did. If I had known about that quest aside from the first main encounter we have with him, he might have seemed more sinister, making the player shocked at his re-apperance, but because I hadn’t known anything prior to him, I didn’t have that moment of shock, he really just seemed like some dude, and it’s the same for other characters too who just suddenly appear in a quest that we’ve never met before due to a limited event. It’s harder to connect to the story, it gets confusing, and it disappoints people who will feel left out, or pressured to always be playing the game so they don’t miss anything. It takes the fun out of it.

It becomes increasingly difficult to address the issues of the game while keeping the game storage size under control. The limited time quests were meant to be limited timed due to the fact that they themselves would occupy a lot of space as a whole. Addressing one issue leads to another issue and the cycle goes on and on. With how large the fan base has become for Genshin, i think it isnt humanly possible to address all of the issues that the players encounter BUT addressing the major issues need to be done NOW. I’m so happy I found this video and all the people in the comments. Strangely, I thought I was the only one who felt overwhelmed and just genuinely conflicted. Keeping up with the “story events” is the main issue for me. When I get back into it, the first thing that comes to mind is all the five star items that have come out recently. But that’s easy. Just go to the archive menus, look through them, and you’ll know what you missed (and it’s not much). This issue lies with story continuity. There’s just too much to follow. We already have hundreds of world quests, the hangouts, the story quests, the archon quests. But then they have to add things like The Golden Apple Archipelago event which makes players disspaointed and beat-up when they learned that they missed it. And part of what makes this so frustrating is that Hoyoverse just seems to be going after quantity rather than quality. The sheer amount of dialogue I force myself to sit through and listen to is concerning. I’m supposed to enjoy listening to these beloved characters… right? I find myself telling myself over and over again that “Eventually I’ll get back into it” or “It’ll get good again, I’ll enjoy it again” but it’s already been a year and I’ve never been more uninterested. I’m afraid Hoyoverse won’t care about loyal players like us. They only really care about how much money you’re willing to spend. As someone who plays GI from day one, the difficulty problems, as you've mentioned, did not affect me, much, but I can see the problem for new players. The problem with past events that had important story elements is one that I have with almost all mmorpgs. Why remove the events? Just add them to a roadmap kind of thing and tell the new players which one to do when! The thing is, in GI there's also a technical point about this: this is essentially a mobile game and these events usually have a lot of voice lines and usually a couple of cutscenes. So if they keep them all, the game size would not be feasible on a mobile device. Just a thought! Anyway, for me, the most egregious problems with Genshin are lack of end-game content and Artifact farming! God it's soul-crushing! If good artifacts were a lot easier to get, then you could make multiple builds for each character, then you could mix and match even more, then....oh my god! I'm drooling! Yeah, to summarize, you could have a lot more fun! Also, there's a bit of complacency and laziness about MiHoYo.....or Hoyoverse! THIS is just a prime example. They have officially changed their name, yet the game's icon haven't changed! And the game's menu background in PS4/PS5? That is also still the same as day one! I mean come on!

this is actually a rlly good idea. the only problem is tho, if they do this they might have trouble cranking out the places because they'll have to speed up for veteran players. this would mean having to either break the region into more bits which means larger maps and larger space but also it being really easy to forget about the old space, not like that's not already happening *cough* ekonomia *cough* and maybe even speeding up the story progression... which i wouldn't mind. from a new player's pov: this is gold. from a veteran player's pov: kill me now. and from a mobile player: there goes space.....*holy music plays and a single tear falls*

I believe a catch-up mechanic is the best solution for this. rather than messing up with the difficulty that would end up making the game even harder for new player / too easy than it already is. let the newer player catch-up faster is better

shoutout to the English forum threads for another gacha game I still play that have asked "is this game dead?" when it's currently running past its 8th year now and is still updating regularly & maintaining its EN-language support even when its parent company released another smash hit game last year exclusively in Japan that eclipses its older titles both in fame and sheer revenue records despite how relatively super niche it is overseas lol;; Certainly some of these ideas brought up are not a problem exclusive to Genshin itself, a lot of these feel like "baby's first gacha/ live service game" because these folks are unfamiliar & uncomfortable with the norms of the genre (gacha game models, character release & balancing concepts, MMORPG patch update cycles, 'season'-based MOBA game releases, marketing/monetization tactics involved, etc). At the end of the day, regardless of how strong a consumer feels about a game, no matter how "good" or "bad" it gets, it really depends on the publisher/developer/ outside circumstances affecting these games that decide whether "it'll last" even if we can spectate or guess how it'll go given whatever clues we get from an outsider's perspective. Sure, there's some merit to these doomposts when they mention specific problems and offer solutions but at the same time....these guys don't really know enough about the finer details into all of these games, huh;;

I would also add the fact that there is a lot of things to do that are just boring, side quests and exploration feel just like something you should do because it's your job, but most of them are just easy and boring, except some that put you in these dungeons and hidden places, also some dominions with dungeons are cool but you just do it one time and that's it, like the main and character missons. It really is a game with lots of locked content for new players and useless for high level, except if you're really into doing the gacha, then you need to do everything to farm gems, but if you don't feel like rolling for everything then most content just feel useless and generally not fun. I think Genshin gets more flak than other gacha games, because it's A LOT of people's first gacha game (including myself). This is a F2P game. The game devs/creators/company has to try their best at balancing making a fun game, but also keeping players spending money. Mihoyo must be doing something right, because they are making a shit load more money than other video games. I think everything is great in Genshin Impact (except 2 things (which i'll get to)), when it comes to the business model it has set up. Basically my two gripes are: 1. There is no end-game. They need to implement some sort of infinite dungeon....even if they don't give out rewards (after the first attempt). 2. Like you said.... it's not new players friendly. This doesn't really affect me, since I've been playing since day 1, and I keep up with everything in the game. But still...I understand how the game can suck for new players. I'm 100% F2P (100%. The root of all these problems has already been set from the inception of the game and games of this genre. It's essentially the fate of every "live service game" where the only way they make money is to slowly add things post launch that incentivise players to stay and spend money. Powercreep is an eventuality and people just become demotivated to keep playing because they know the thing they took forever to grind for is going to be outclassed with the next patch. There are numerous gacha games and live service games that do this and the number eventually goes down because people just don't have the time to keep up with every single thing that gets released, while some just get frustrated and move on. The only way to avoid this is to develop a game that has a start and an end where things like the economy, power scaling, and acquisition of things has been pre-determined and already balanced. This is also why single player games that you only need to purchase ONCE feel so much better to play because the developers don't have to rely on making new/attractive content for it.

Genshin really really REALLY needs to rerun their limited time story events, or just make them not always drop such huge lore bombs. Locking that kind of information behind a time wall that not all players get to experience is a sure fire way to give your game the slow burn death. Regarding the standard banner, it wouldnt be an issue if they added old limited 5-stars to the banner. They could add something like honkais standard banner where the first few times you pull it's a reduced amount of pity you need for a guaranteed new 5-star for say, 3 turns. After that you go back to normal pity but every 3 5 stars you get the 4th will always be new.

I think the biggest issues Genshin's facing right now are: artifact farming, ascension mats, and co-op. You can farm artifacts for years and still not get that "one" artifact you really want. There's no safety net or something. With ascension mats being locked behind the story (Inazuma), you cannot ascend a certain character unless you unlock a certain area. With co-op ... it's really lacking IMO.
@LibraritheWizardOfficial

You don't really NEED perfect godly artifacts with every stat and substat how you want it and mid 200's artifact crit value. People have 36 starred spiral abyss with way less than whale investment since pretty early into the game's lifespan. Artifact farming for ridiculously high numbers is just something that happens to us because we have nothing else to spend resin on at endgame.

@@t.w.l3691 I'm AR60, I've spent a lot more than 1000 resin on numerous sets. I have never outright _needed_ anything beyond what I consider copium artifacts at this stage. I only keep farming because there's nothing else to do with resin except try to build more artifacts to match my A-Team in an ever escalating arms race to see who can get the fastest sub 30 domain clears. Hell, I had Jean with trash artifacts for over a year and still mained her just because she was still good enough to clear WL8 content with ease.

You don't need insane artifacts. What you need are insanely challenging content where you can use your built characters aside from spiral abyss and monthly events. Spiral abyss only resets once every 2 weeks, which is a long wait, only for you to finish all the floors in one sitting. Even artifact domains aren't challenging anymore. I wish we could get level 100 enemies in domains, an abyss-like difficulty but with better rewards.
@bragcertified
@bragcertified Год назад
That's why I think hoyo should add a reward for new permanent content like some kind of item that can increase your 1 sub stat for 1 time. In this way you still need to farm domains to get your perfect 4 sub stats, but without stressing out about stat rolls. Ascension mats problem can be easily solved by adding a new vendor in Mond that can exchange a special currency that you're getting from quests. Said vendor could sell any material from any region, similarly to FGO.

I think there is a more bigger issue we need to tackle as well: Communication from the developers. In my experience and history of playing the game (Played from day one, besides missing 1.1 and rejoining at end of 1.2), I feel that Mihoyo (Hoyoverse) doesn't seem to hear the cries of issues. This video is sort of evident that Hoyo has said issue. I see community communication as an important aspect for game making, as it is a great source for things that developers may not notice, which allows balancing, QoL updates, refinements and general improvements to the game in general. If I ever made a game, the community voice would be important. I also want to mention the one mechanic that I have a grudge against Hoyo for: Crouching. There are at leats 10 sections within quests where you are given crouching to sneak around to snoop into a conversation or tail someone witrhout being seen. I see this as a game mechanic that would make Genshin more enjoyable for the reason of sneaking past Hilichurls and dealing sneak damage or something. One of the daily comissions 'A Gentlemen Strikes in Broad Daylight', the crouching and sneaking mechanic would make this comission MORE interesting, as it basically tells you to get these 2 things without being spotted. I mostly get spotted, but this would be more fun if the crouching and sneaking mechanic was implemented fully into Genshin. Definitely would also help when following a Seelie through a enemy camp and you dont want to get spotted. Wishes should be regional wishes. Currnetly, 3 regions in the game, so a Wish for characters from Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma. This would make all characters available while also allowing new players to get characters and weapons that are in their current region depending on the current level and story progress. I, too, love tha game, but there are definitley issues that Hoyo dont want to look into or dont know of or something. I am currently in the 'game fatigue' or something equivalent because I am just at the point where only the Spiral Abyss, BP, events and grinding for some of my characters are what keep me going.

Another problem I would add would be the character level up materials, and regional specialties in general. An alternate account I had was at a low AR and didn’t have access to Inazuma yet, but I pulled Raiden. However, I could only get her up to level 40 with the help of trial materials, but I couldn’t go any further due to Inazuma being locked. On top of that, her level up materials are in one of the most dangerous places in Inazuma, Seirai Island. So even if I unlocked Inazuma, the difficulty scaling would make it a nightmare just to get to the island, let alone collect enough materials. This is definitely a pain for newer players, and it’ll keep occurring more and more as each region releases, too…

I like the part when you mention that all the rewards in Genshin are extrinsic. That's something that hadn't crossed my mind before this video but holds so much truth. There's only so much extrinsic rewards can hold retention within the playerbase and hoyoverse can keep artificially keep throwing more packs of 5 primos at us before we all burn out. If we played this game because the reward was having fun or feeling accomplished instead, it would be way better. I really wish they revamped the levelling system and made it so then we actually have to farm (respawnable) monsters to level up our characters. Spending 40 minutes grinding a character up one level through actual gameplay is way more fun than sitting around doing nothing for 40 minutes just to get the privilege to spend 20 seconds one-shotting a mob for some purple books.

I can’t even participate in the summer event. It’s unfortunate and I think I won’t be able to level up enough by the time sumeru gets here. Who knows how long I have until I get to even see it. Focus on 4 characters first, pick them wisely, spam their dungeons, kill proper bosses, level unnecessary characters just to 40, to get items from their ascensions. Then get another 4 characters, 2 healers especially, for the Spiral Abyss. Spam Spiral Abyss, until reset, then repeat. Maybe follow some guide, because some characters isn't worth leveling. Like Amber. You will have to run numerous instances, almost endlessly, to get them to the point when Inezuma become easy to you. Get an actual healer (any healing characters makes an actual difference and even a vanilla Barbara can save your ass). Any really. Especially Kokomi would make your game way easier, even without constellations. Even Qiqi. Follow the videos showing you where all the treasure chests is hidden on each map. I don't really remember much from this game, since I've quit it long time ago, but I am sure with enough dedication and determination, especially if it comes to events and maxing each maps, (and obvious grind I've mentioned above) you will get where you want. Also do not ignore housing. You can get a nice amount of upgrades if you focus on your pot as well. Also try getting a set of artifacts, with specific stats. If it's possible get a proper stats for your team. Check online what stats is good for each character. There is a whole tier list of characters, starting from the most useful, towards the most useless, and each character should be equipped with a proper set of artifacts. I'd recommend zilliongamer.com/ and game8.co/ - Dont go blindly and randomly. Make a plan. Research. You got this.

Yeah, while it is very sad to me that Hoyoverse seems contended with how the game flow right now, what most players don't realize is that Genshin is a very casual game and they intended it that way since the very beginning.. and i think they listen to the players, and i mean the casual side which is the majority of the player base.. So, i doubt that Genshin won't last, unless something happened (like another pandemic or ww3).. It's just that it won't grow into a game with its full potential that i ever hope for..

For the event stories, it can be like Cookie Run: Kingdom where u can just replay the scenes and dialogue but you won't gain any rewards. Just the fun of learning the story. For the 2.8 island event we are just going back to the Golden Apple Archipelago. But if new players that weren't in the 1st archipelago event, they wouldn't know the story how or why the islands are there. Maybe Hoyoverse will add something like an extra dialogue for new players during the story, but it still won't solve the issue where the new players won't know the full story. @@pauloazuela8488 the point I’m trying to make is that the author of this video wants a game that the developers never even intended to happen, and the fact that they’re still continuing on with this business model proves that this is the path that they want genshin impact to head towards. Even though we might not agree with this design choice, at the end of the day, this is how they envisioned the game and a lot of people outside of us still enjoy the game enough to play it. By changing up the entire formula they’re simply going to isolate and divide people even more than what we are currently witnessing now.

@@w0wzerzXDD Fair point , but let's just see upcoming games that are open world and let's see how they operate . Take note this is a billion dollar revenue game, if the only reason it's getting that much because of availability and waifus and husbandos then chances are they wouldn't try to improve it that much. I tend to be critical to gacha games because I spend moderately and I played lots of them . I still also play paid games as well.
@w0wzerzXDD
@w0wzerzXDD Год назад
@@pauloazuela8488 The thing is, even with the upcoming open world games that will include a lot more stuff such as raids, better grinding experiences, and properly scaled monsters, we are just comparing apples and oranges. Reason being, genshin is made to be a casual game while those aspects listed above are more geared towards players that want to keep on pushing/min maxing their characters. For example, the fact that the endgame doesn't go past doing spiral abyss, the developers don't encourage co-op playing outside of event minigames (I wouldn't even count domains because they're easy as hell), we are resin gated so people aren't really encouraged to be spamming domains outside of spending money, and the story/cut scenes are the bigger parts of the game rather than the gameplay loop. Also, the fact that they are making billion dollar revenues means they're not going to change anytime soon because the profits just proves to the shareholders/developers that they formula works, so in their eyes, why would they change it anytime soon?Although this may be hard to hear and I'm sorry for that, at the end of the day, the fact that the game won't be anything beyond this is just a hard truth that players like us need to accept so we can move on. TL:DR; this game is just not really meant to be anything outside of a single player, casual game that is driven by the story and what the author of this video is literally asking for is an entirely different game.
