Was diagnosed with gluten ataxia and coeliacs last year . Fifteen years of pain and illness and was told it was ibs and stress /depression . Hypo thyroid Also a life of migraine . Been gluten free six months ... the improvement is unbelievable . Brain fog and anxiety much better , no .longer anaemic , got energy , migraines reduced infrequency and intensity. I’m no longer snappy , I thought I was menopausal . This has changed my life completely , thanks to an amazing neuro team in Sheffield U.K. when I go to clinic and see the states of poor people in whom the diagnosis was late and much irreversible symptoms I consider myself to be extremely fortunate . Gluten is the food of the devil 😂

I gave up grains seven years ago, but when I gave up dairy two months ago, the difference was amazing. No more gut problems and my toes are growing out straight, also no more chronic itchy skin. Dr. Peter Osborne explains how dairy can be just as bad as gluten.

I am being referred to Sheffield too for gluten ataxia. Do you have to eat gluten when you are seen there? I have just had a gluten challenge (after being gluten free for a year by choice) and only lasted a week. The ataxia, peripheral neuropathy, scleritis and migraines left me incapacitated. I will not be able to eat gluten again. I just hope Sheffield can diagnose by medical history and my gastroenterologists referral letter.

SHOCKER: he COMPLETELY IGNORES the fact that modern wheat is DRENCHED in TOXIC glyphosate right before harvest!! if you use organic wheat and organic rye flour, one shd have much less of a reaction. I found that when i had enough VitD3 in me, ie 10,000 iu/day consistently, my food reactions went down quite a bit.

Glyphosate might be contributing, but I tried organic wheat (from France) and still experienced the same problems. Some people definitely have a hard time with gluten.

Sure while glyphosate may be an issue. Celiac/gluten intolerance has been diagnosed looooongggggg before l glyphosate was even used.

It’s possible that grains eaten anywhere in the world cause holes in your gut whether you are celiac or just gluten intolerant or you think you’re neither.

@@geauxp yes it is possible bc modern wheat is dramatically different than ancient grains.

Glycosphate is banned in Europe. He mentions studies carried out in Italy. I also eat organic, but gluten causes scleritis and ataxia in me.

Informative video, new subscriber. I find this so interesting because I'm trying to figure out if my nightly cereal habit is contributing to my lifelong battle with treatment resistant depression. My favorite snack is actually whole grain cereal. I do believe oatmeal is pretty much gluten free so that's instead the route I need to go. I'm soooo tired of the deep depression coupled with brain fog etc.

Glad you found value! Yeah many times it’s the little things we do everyday that can create health or disease. Let me know how it goes! 🤞🏾 PRO-TIP: be sure to get certified gluten-free oatmeal as there can be cross-contamination.

My child was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis. A ND suggested removing gluten from his diet. His UC has improved significantly. I plan on taking him to a FMD in the near future to hopefully heal his gut and learn about other sensitivities he has.

As an asian we use to eat wheat 3 time a day. Some time i cut off wheat tortilla . This month i useed it again my abdomen was swelling, i feel headache everyday. Yesterday it was so intense due to gastric issue i skipped wheat. Its true that whenever i use wheat my head notifying me you are on wrong direction.

TRUE they told me it was stress I found out my hyper thyroid and diarrhea everytime I ate (everything I ate was gluten) was actually due to gluten insensitivity. Although I haven't been tested body has improved. All the best to everyone battling their diet struggles

Endoscopy is the gold standard for testing for celiac. It’s also possible to have a sensitivity to fructans instead which you can do an elimination diet for. Fructans are in wheat, onions and garlic and other plant foods

How long for those 'extra digestive' cognitive symptoms to go away?

Great question. If 100% avoidance then typically anywhere from 5 days to several weeks, depending on how sensitive to gluten and how severe the reaction. Good luck!

Remind of people that drink caffeine all day and say their sleep is perfectly fine or smokers that say my breathing is perfectly fine lol. Cut the shit and you'll see how much better you feel.
