A big reason is the Chinese economy. When the Chinese stock market bubble popped, people moved money into housing. Now the housing bubble popped, the economy is bad, government only allow moving $50k per year to overseas, there have been some chinese regional banks that collapsed too. So gold is one of the few places left to put money. Gold has always been the refuge historically, when emperors and dictators have no problem letting famine, war and revolt starve peasants to death. So this is why Chinese gift gold to children and weddings. Not just for good fortune but also as a safety net. I would guess it's the same for India.

Not one person is talking about inflation in America. Gold is going because inflation is relentlessly going up. Gold performs well when inflation goes up. There is no way inflation is going down after printing of trillions of dollars.

the greedy chinese are starting to buy silver now, and we all know what happens when they get in. through the roof. they cant help themselves they love to buy high and sell low
