Exactly!! And that's why whenever he gets hot Steph just takes the back seat and immediately let's Klay do his thing. It was with Steph's assist that Klay broke the all time 3pts FG made in a game. Steph knows what Klay has done for him and that's why whenever Klay gets to shine he's the happiest and the most supportive person to Klay, it's brotherhood, loyalty and respect. Which is very scarce nowadays.
Man whatever it takes to get Klay back. He is an awesome player but he's been in his head too much. Yo, your team members and coach still believes in you. He has to believe it. It's times I be so mad at Golden State as a team because I know what they're capable of and then became a second half game team. No let's get back to that Golden State team that did a 3 peat
Only difference is MJ was still the better defender but Phil made a great coaching decision because Pippen definitely couldn’t score like MJ. Meaning let MJ do less on defense until Pippen is struggling then MJ would guard the best player. Gave each player a role and that’s what every great team needs. Guys like Luka trying to do it all and it doesn’t work.
@@BestShootermanUbzhe’s saying the bench as in Steph is number 1 and he’s supporting role - Klay broke the 3 point record in a quarter playing supporting role don’t ever forget that
I love Klay most ppl look at him as benched but those injuries he had sat him down for three years it takes time for him to get his rhythm back to normal. Some nights he has good nights and some are bad but he never gives up he has faith in hisself. He will forever be one of my best players..
I respect Klay because before the game he went Facebook live and said he was going to give his all in the NBA Finals… He had 25 plus points at the half and broke his knee cap trying to win then he went back out there to shoot his free throws and tried to play in the game with a busted knee… I give him respect 🫡
@@JasonWallace-yz6pl you sound stupid go look at his stats! I’ve done my research goofy dudes overrated if he wasn’t on the warriors he wouldn’t have any championships
@@albania32920ppg is crazy good for a second option. Especially on his career efficiency. Man dropped 37 in a quarter give him his respect. I get you probably don’t like gsw bc they probably smoked yo fav team but to say this man isn’t a lock for the HoF is crazy. He’s easily one of the top 5 shooters in history and a cold blooded killer on the court
The reason I have so much respect for Dray, because he has so much respect for Klay (and Steph). Non-dub fans will never give Dray credit. He is our Rodman, with points
@fulltimeslackerii8229 Rodman excelled at 2 things on the basketball court. Blocking the ball and rebounding. Dray was never and will never be the rebounder Rodman was but stats ain't all that matter. Dray can play 1-5 on defense if he needed to(I don't even like the warriors, just being real) and plays a distributer role in the offensive side much like pippin did back in the day. Ya Dray was there Rodman. He was excellent at the role he played same as Rodman
Klay is a great player. I respect his game they wouldn't have won those 4 championships without him. He going through a slump right now, he will bounce back
People like to forget because of how insane Curry was in that Golden Staten dynasty run but Klay was no joke either. Klay literally saved them in the playoffs multiple times came up clutch for him when not even Steph did. Dude has shown he could get even hotter then Steph when it came to scoring and being a top 5 defender at the time during that 2015-2019 run. Yeah sure Steph’s game might be flashier and fun to watch but Klay did a lot of the dirty work for that team and never really got the credit he deserved. Unsung hero in my opinion was a huge vital part to that team with no ego couldn’t ask for more from a player.
I don’t think any actual Basketball Fan forgets How Dope Klay Thompson is and especially was during their Runs That’s why Warriors have 4 Championship Rings & 6 Finals Appearances with Klay Thompson The Splash Brothers & Their Cousin Dray 🏆 73-9 🏆🏆 🏆 💦 Bros
@@joeltorres2439 What are you laughing about? Just because someone is a Bron fan doesn't mean they can deny someone's greatness. Like, I know GSW won 3 championships against Cavs but you can't deny your opponent's greatness because they beat you 3 times. That's just stupid logic.
@@tomoikanovic6159 nothing i just like to tell it , it's a flex for me to be a fan of such a great player , gonna try to say it about a million times before he retires .
Klay the most unappreciated gsw i swear all gsw fans, not all, but most talk about is how much they love Steph and Dray🤦🏽♂️ tbh Klay is one of the most unappreciated athletes ever in my eyes and in my humble opinion besides the Kd years Klay was the best player for gsw🤷🏽♂️ Klay can shoot and score maybe not exactly the same as Steph but VERY VERY close to Steph and issa much better defender i truly believe that Klay coulda been similar to Harden in the sense that no one thought Harden wassa starter let alone an MVP caliber player but once he left he took tf off i respect Klay for always putting his ego aside and saying f tryna be an MVP caliber player and lemme snag rings🫡but til the day i die i’ll always believe Klay had MVP potential 💯
Klay never complained and is a great teammate. The series Klay got injured he was showing without KD we still a problem. When he went down GS title blew away. Steph knew it. He sat on the court disgusted. We’ve all been hard on you Klay. I want to apologize for under appreciating what you do, and forgetting how hard the road back was. Good luck Klay.
That's exactly what Scottie Pippen did. He always usually guarded the best did all the intangibles, while MJ scored all the points and got all the credit
Nahh, some, but truly the one who rattled ANYONE of the BEST ops & did ALL the dirty work for the last 3 was Rodman, and tho he was not a scorer,Pippin was a great scorer and a all around great player that was a huge factor in that triangle offense that made them so successful and Dangerous AF
@@boricuafrican1 exactly my point. All u see is the statistics. Theres game changing plays that doesn't always show up on the stat sheet. His impact was something beyond numbers. That's the definition of intangibles something that's not as visible
That could be contributing to the fact that both of their parents were in the NBA maybe the shared that type of knowledge to win championships. Cool to see Klay be humble about playing the roll
We need to stop saying we witnessing the greatest shooter ever and say we witnessing the top two greatest shooters ever. And they just happen to be on the same team…. What a time to be alive…..
I love Clay T, bc the way Step Curry’s son says, “hey Clay Thomas “ and Clay Thomas laughs and says, “hey”, I can tell he’s a good guy like Steph’s kid feels like he is.
So I’m a General manager at this place and a new hire and me were chopping it up, I didn’t know much about him so I asked him who his favorite player was and his answer astonished me (mind you this was a few days ago) the kid tells me his favorite is Klay Thompson. I couldn’t do nuin but respect it. Klays good in my books and Draymond is disconnected from the YouTh so it makes sense he doesn’t realize how legendary these kids think Klay is. Bro didn’t even say curry!
100% I've always said if I have to pick one I would pick clay in his prime. Yes, Steph is a much better three-point shooter but he can shoot threes and defend the best player. Very underrated talent
@@steviechampagne @steviechampagne If I'm not bright I wouldn't be able to change a lightbulb so why did you pose the question to began with? You foreigners need to stay in your place
I like, respect, and give Klay credit because he is a great shooter and because he brought the Warriors this far when they were not the Warriors they are today. I always, always, always give Klay Thompson his props because he deserves it! Thank you Klay!
And this is precisely why Klay will ALWAYS be my favorite Warrior. Why ALL my Warriors gear has number 11 on them. Don't get me wrong, I adore Steph and Dray and Iggy as well, but Klay just hits different. He is amazing!
Klay is really a humble player, he is part of Warriors core player yet still accepted the role of being in a second unit as long as he helps the team win. Hope to see him and Dray retires in Warriors jersey with Steph.
Draymond’s IQ is really shining through here. He doesn’t get the credit Steph does because nobody is Steph. Klay’s a role player, maybe on the cusp of being a star for one or two years but he’s a role player. An incredible shooter, outstanding shooter, but a role player. Nobody else is Steph Curry, nobody else will get that credit.
