Kardashians don't try to pretend they aren't privileged or at least not to the same degree. They also don't actively scam people in ways that can kill them. Attention. Most rich people who have donating companies open them so that they can get tax refunds and they actually donate only a small percentage of what they get cause they write off a huge part of the income as expenses.
Rich donate so they don't pay taxes. There are also plenty of charities who don't do what they say they will. You have to vet each and every one of them to know if where your money is going is actually doing any good. Charities are generally a band-aid on a gunshot wound. A piss poor response to systemic problems both in a country and the world at large. Also, donating the equivalent of 10 bucks when you're that wealthy isn't something to applaud. People who give 10 dollars when they only have 100 each month left over from other expenses are giving much more due to the more limited pool they have to get it from. Donating to charity is bare minimum when you are stupid wealthy. It's basically expected given that you're attempting to give back to a society that allowed you to be what you are.

Same here, she’s a classy lady. Gwyneth is far too sophisticated for most people, background, upbringing, lifestyle, dry and self deprecating sense of humor and all. She is ‘pour les connoisseurs’, if you know, you know-type, just like her dress style. Her films are timeless and she’s been a quiet fashion icon for decades. She’s reinvented herself, to be financially and morally independent off a male-dominant industry she’s been in for years. She is also is fluent in 2 difficult languages, apart from her mother tong, languages she never HAD to speak out of need, she just showed interest and learnt them well, so now she conducts press conferences switching languages as addressed. She knows her worth and she is not going to apologize for who she is, in order to please masses. And that generates envy, hence the hatred she gets. Narrow minded people will only see the world from their own perspective, never making an effort to understand a different angle/ person. Gwyneth is not going to have the same morning beauty routine like those that have to catch a bus at 6, to start a work shift at 7.
