Why Hainan Fell, But Taiwan Did Not 

In 1950 the Chinese Communist Party PLA staged an invasion of Hainan Island and the island fell. It was assumed then that Taiwan, the Kuomintang's final holdout, would quickly follow. That did not turn out to be the case and in this video we look at a few reasons why.
