That was fun to watch! How much did the motors heat up - touchable? And by chance did you log the motor amp draw? Keep up the fun, fantastic vids and creativity!

Think we’re getting into weapons now. Lmao. Let’s see a set of counter rotating props!

Generally less blades are more efficient. That means bi blade are surposed to be most efficient. A mono blade needs a counter weight that just spins along through the air resistance, making it inefficient. There are tests and data out there, that have proven that tri blades are more efficient in the low rpm vs bi blade. It seems bi blade are more efficient in the higher rpm. It's just a pain to tune bi blade compared to tri. Also the larger the prop, the more efficient. Dji uses very large bi blades to get maximum efficiency. Anyway, I love four, six and eight blade props too. On a typical 5" quad, try the hqprop 4x4x6 and gemfan 51455. Very silent and tons of grip. More blades have a downside of less responsiveness though. Must be the extra weight and air resistance. 6~8 blade are so silent

Agreed. I think it's also interesting that the blade pitch doesn't even start until about 1" away from the motor shaft. So, they have a large disc area, but a lot of it is not utilized for thrust.

Even crazier idea: One counter balanced blade per prop Insane idea: A monocopter with the same uni-bladed prop

oh yeah. that would be cool, like how they did way back in the day for airplanes. Also it's kind of like the propeller designed by Zipline where it's 2 offset blades and counterweighted on the other side.

And how efficient it is? How much time it flies, compared to usual?

Good question. More testing is needed to tell.

Less blades is usually more efficient given the same motor. But I imagine a motor with more torque could put more blades to better use.
