Why Hasn't Sasuke Gotten His Rinnegan Back??

I always assumed Sasuke eventually returned to the hideout to wipeout the remaining eyes (if there even were any) to stop anymore tampering.

Kishimoto giving Sasuke every power up except for the ones that kinda make sense has to be a new kind of frustrating

Sasuke HATED that the eyes were stored, he definitely made sure to destroy them all.

So conclusion is , Rinne-gone and to fill his empty eye , Sasuke can't get another Sharin-gone too. 😢

I was just trying to figure this out yesterday, lol. Yea, the rules of Izanagi are so outlandish, like Danzo to revert his death, had to activate it beforehand, but when Itachi explained it's origins whoever that was in the "flashback" clearly used it to rewrite the deaths of his clanmates after the fact. It exists solely for plot convenience, and right now, it's not so convenient to give Sasuke his underutilized rinnegan back.

I'm pretty sure you need to activate izanagi once before the events that you want to change. After that, you have a minute to do as you please. So he can't active izanagi after losing his rinnegan to get it back

Heres a thought: couldnt a user of izanagi, while using izanagi, create a new eye identical to the one they used izanagi with....or even make a superior sharingan eye? And just... Not will it in place of the izanagi eye, just have it in a sealed container. Then...yknow. replace the blind eye later with the new and improved eye via transplanting it.

Actually in chapter 510 during the obito v konan fight obito mentions that the izanagi can only be performed by someone with uchiha and senju powers can use. I could be missing something, but just wanted to say I love your videos!

Isanagi uses so much chakra so what you can make is always less than what you start with so you can go from sharingon to normal eye you cant go up unless you want to not make your leg for example

Hey Nick I’ve got a question about rock Lee. Im pretty sure rock Lee can use chakra for his taijutsu and standing on water but he can infuse chakra into the 5 natures + yin and yang. Is Shisui’s body flicker mirage clone technique ninjutsu? If not, could that mean rock Lee could’ve learned it?! Thanks :)

I don't think Sasuke would need to go to the hideout to get his Sharingan back as the Rinnegan has the ability to summon the king of hell so he can go inside its mouth and the Sharingan will be restored.

The izanagi has to be prepared prior to the attack/injury to work and only exists for anything that happens to the caster within 60 seconds

I think the sharingan part of the hideout was destroyed until the writers decide they need it for something. Thats how I look at anything that isn't answered directly. It is, until it isnt.

I think you have to have Izanagi pre activated in order to use it. I think they explained that in the Danzo fight.

He has to have isanagi active when he sustains a wound that's why danzo didn't just heal his wounds at the end of his battle with sasuke using shisui's eye.

What most don't get about Itachi, or Sasuke...They both never felt it was fine to use Uchiha body parts like 'tools'. Madara, Obito were different. Also love or hate them but Itachi, and Sasuke personalities are truly like Prince's of the Uchiha and has a great deal of respect for the clan whether they agreed with them or not. It disgusted them to see non Uchihas kind of like Gon's friend with the chains in HxH. They learned to live with Kakashi but one could tell neither ever liked it.

It's confusing (and possibly contradictory) in the various explanations of the Izanagi, but I always got the impression that you couldn't "wish for more wishes", so to speak. That the Izanagi, for whatever reason, cannot restore ocular powers. Otherwise Danzo would've been truly immortal by restoring the eyes on his arm with other eyes on his arm. Also, he seemingly couldn't use it to get Shisui's Koto ability back.

I despise the idea that izanagi is a thing, it's the biggest sharing an glazing that kishimoto ever did, just to make Sasuke and anyone with a sharing an broken, it's literally a plot-device "Nuh-uh" ability and I hate it.

If I had a sharingan, my plan would be to use an isanagi to grow two more sharingan eyes, use another one to give you two working rinnegan, and use the last sharingan to get rid of the two extra eyes.

What if he stole a spare from Obito's hideout, implanted it in his arm, and used Izanagi to restore his EMS and make two rinnegan? Like "I want to alter reality ao I have two eyes, each with an ems and a rinnegan," and bam the eye he has Orochimaru surgically implant in his arm closes forever, and Sasuke's eyes are straightened out.

I feel like Izanagi would have been better if Sharingan couldn't be changed out like light bulbs. Even Rin, a 13 year old chunin, could replace Kakashi's wounded eye for Obito's Sharingan well enough that Kakashi could use it immediately afer.

They could probably clone him a new Sharingan at this point. They could also patch the izanagi plot hole by saying that the Sasuke’s Rinnegan is a shinjutsu and can’t be affected by a ninjutsu. (Still a massive cop out but at least it’s an explanation)

The reason is because Izanagi has to be active during that time and you cant undo something random in the past.

Izanagi was not a mistake. Losing an eye and making it a one off ability was a pretty good balance. Basically you get 2 chances and you’re done.

Hey Nick, since Orochimaru created the Shin, can't he technically clone a sharingan for sasuke? If yes, couldn't Sasuke just remove his Mangekyo, pop in the clone, Izanagi the Rinnegan then pop the Mangekyo back in?

Izanagi closes your eye *after* you warp reality. You can use it to restore one eye at the cost of the other, so Sasuke would be stuck with 1 eye unless he takes Sarada's. It can't restore both because the one using it closes when the jutsu ends...

Sasuke can get a transplanted rinnegan from one of the Shinji if he escapes the tree there are multiple rinnegan out there now

If he did that, he could just rip an eye from one of the many Shin's that are in the village

As someone who never watch Boruto and doesn't plan to, but do know that Naruto and Sasuke trained each other's child, I chose to believe this happened in training, when Boruto decided to win at all costs, blinding his teacher in one eye.

The izanagi is meant to be used before the damage, not after the damage is done

He doesn't even have to replace his eye though. Using Izanagi will make the eye useless sure BUT he can simply just imagine an eye coming after that old 1. Like if you can create whatever u imagine then why would that stop them from creating a brand new replacement eye. Makes no sense. This show has more Plot Holes than Sasuke's parents after Itachi ended them

Reality control is way to strong for just the cost of a single eye. Should have had bigger consequences, or at the very least made it to where it's not just that eye, and replacing it just blinds that new eye immediately.

What about the Shin eyes?

Don't think so. Izanagi was always seen to be used during that moment. Never have we seen it be used after an issue was already over

Sometimes it feels like Kishimoto hopes that the Naruto/Boruto fanbase is like the Dragon Ball fanbase and chooses to refuse to read because these concepts are already established but just never used, except Kurama’s reincarnation of course.

It's just not in Sasuke's character to pine for what he lost amymore. He just moves on.

I've been saying this for years that Sasuke should have used Izanagi to bring back his Rinnegan and then use his Rinnegan to restore his Sharingan and his missing arm. I brought this up on several occasions. A few months back I got into a debate with someone who brought up that Sasuke missed his chance to use Izanagi due to how the jutsu is described. "With a normal genjutsu, a user will apply an illusion to a target's senses, causing the target to experience things that are not real. With Izanagi, the user applies an illusion to reality itself, giving the user control over what is and is not real for as long as Izanagi is active. Users typically do this in order to protect themselves, negating any injuries they receive or even their deaths. When this happens, their injured self fades away as an illusion and their non-injured self immediately materialises in the previous self's place." So based on this information, Izanagi would have to be activated before the moment Sasuke was stabbed, which would have been in the conditions needed for Izanagi to work and since Sasuke didn't have the jutsu prepared beforehand, it wouldn't work now. As for a new Rinnegan, Sasuke should have gone to either Tsunade or Orochimaru. Unless the chakra of the eye is destroyed with the eye, One of them should be able to restore his eye or clone a new one. Imagine Orochimaru and Tsunade combining their ressearch to restore Sasuke's Rinnegan???

Problem is no one taught sasuke Izanagi especially with the nerf bats hitting him every Thursday.
