I am learning from Islam to become a better representation of myself and a better representation of my faith. I am hoping that with me doing this i can show people in my community who we are as Muslims and inspire them to learn more about our faith or to gain that desire..

Our objective as Muslims is to perfect our religion and to be honest it's the greatest challenge on this earth and it's only getting harder as many want to paint it horribly and many "Muslims" alter the religion and use it for political reasons and war etc. However Islam itself means submission and to be the perfect Muslim we need to be fully sub sub servanto god only. We need to not be swayed by the worldly life, and to be patient and humble and helpful to everyone including non Muslims and show respect and display good character to everyone as we have a responsibility of showing everyone what Islam is about, we need to embody the way our prophet Muhammad behaved and interacted to everyone including non Muslims. I.e there was a Nonmuslim lady who was his neighbour and nearly every day he left his house she used to spit at him and one day the prophet noticed that he wasn't subjected to this treatment for a while and he noticed she wasn't present then he asked around the neighbourhood and was told she was passed away, he was upset as to why no one told him about this. The moral of the story is be kind to ur neighbors regardless of religions.There's many stories about kindness shown towards non Muslims but this is an example that we should follow. But the biggest misconception that the west love to repeat is that Muslims should kill every non Muslim they see which is misunderstood and misleading, to get s better clarification avoid islam haters explaining the Quran and look at the Quran itself and the Understandings that Muslims use themselves

Abe Ramadan abe, Im one step ahead, I listen to Mufti and he also makes me laugh. I listen to Nounan Ali Khan and also Hamza Yusef and Tariq Ramadan. I wish I could read and speak arabic. It is funny I recited Al Fatihah to my neice and she thought it sounded so lovely. I think listening to the Quran in arabic even when I dont understand is very beautiful. Listening to the azan gives me goose bumps and I know many westerners will agree. How can you argue with God is great and there is no other god but god. Alhamdulillah
