He defo isnt. Hikaru is not at all stockfish. He plays/gets into positions that are attacking, and hence very double edged, and he often makes tons of mistakes, but his opponents make even more. For example, mvl had mate twice against hikaru in one of the blitz games, and it was so simple, he literally just had to make the easiest check on the board. But he didnt, and it ended up being a draw.

That last game against Caruana was savage. The opening looked like many of my games, of course I am not good 1/100 as Hikaru, but the kind of defiant and unconventional opening-setup I mean. It is so much more fun having to fight for making it work and having your opponent be so out of theory... Good stuff. Hikaru showing the way (as well as Magnus). " The clown kings" XD
