Yaz - you had a dissertation on the development of creativity --- that's interesting. My thesis was in relation to a Phenomenological based analysis of teaching methodologies - related to creativity. I argued that the creative process could be adapted - in accordance to each persons' particular & preferred style of learning
@@yazlikes_oldstuff Yaz - you might want to consider doing a higher degree in Education. When it comes to getting a job teaching at University or elswhere - it will give you an advantage over the other candidates. Publishing papers is all well & good - but there is nothing as bad as a highly qualified expert who has no clue about teaching. That's where teaching comes in. It will open doors for you. Besides - I think you are already a good communicator - so that confidence you have with Y-tube will translate.
Herman Pontzer is associate professor of evolutionary anthropology and global health at Duke University . I suggest that you read his work again. you seem to have not fully understood it.
As individuals we may learn from the past (our past) --- it is called experience --- but the human race as a whole seems to learn very little from history. We have not succeeded in banning wars, for example, which have been going on for ages. What do you think about that? Are there any positive signs?
Science about calories example is somewhere in "Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers". Past is just a struggle, sometime with creativite stuff that u dig up. Like recent example with ancient egypt ceramic recipe rediscovered "New Geopolymers Discovered with Metahalloysite and Alumoxy Acid-based". I learn from the past that mass killing ticks with chemicals wont prevent them from spreading disease (Byriuchyi Island example). But o boy I didn't know about DNA insecticides Nice video, cheers 🍻
O my no, trust me I only believe in real archaeology and science. Not saying ATALL that archaeology is pointless, just that the past can help the future.
I love prehistory, I could care less about new history. ❤ I want to study the people who lived without governments and were masters of nature. That’s what I’m interested in.
Lol! I would love to see you put together some of these ancient lost techniques and show us sleepy old ones what we have been missing!!! Maybe some environmentally friendly mining, possibly reinvent the wheel! Pottery without a fire... The list is endless, why? We have carried all the ancient techniques and technologies found effective and useful forward as humanity advanced! Please little red riding hood, teach me how to suck eggs!!! Lol!
Advanced is subjective, I knew there would be people that either wouldn’t agree or tell me I’m chatting pure shite. However, I’m not saying that past infrastructural or inventive developments are no longer useful in our world. What I mean is that, for example, helping to understand how we lived in the past e.g not having a social circle larger than 150 at the very most can help us understand why people nowadays have struggles with mental health. Or that understanding past diets can help us understand what’s going on inside our bodies today. These are just a couple of examples. So infact yes, little red riding hood can teach people to suck eggs.
🐣 well I never... Lol! Actually, I did, and more than once, lol! But that's another story! To be sure there has always been lessons to be learnt from the past, and those that fail to learn are doomed to make the same mistakes again and again. Those that do learn tend to innovate and move us forward... Lol! Thank you RED, scrambled egg for tea then... Lol!
