As a Hitman fan that bought all the series (Including the classic one). I feel sad that you think its a "hidden gem" but it's actually a well known stealth game and has been talk a lot a few years ago. Of course nowadays, there isn't much people talk about it since its not a new game anymore.

I play this game for like 4 years at this point and I've mastered it. I think that it is underrated compared to other AAA games, but it is still well known franchise so I wouldn't say that it's obscure or a hidden gem, just not everyones cup of tea, and there is always something to do in this game because of the contracts mode, and other modes as well, including freelancer, escalations, Elusive targets, etc, but I think that contracts mode gives us more space to create, and roadmaps are still going as well. Now to be fair, playing in more non-stealth way can be fun but at one point it will become boring since Silent assassin is that score that gives a challenge, because just eliminating targets in whatever manner is kinda easy, so it makes game bit pointless if you are going to continue playing it as your go to game. I even speedrun almost every contract I play, and it's cool to see how this game has so many different playstyles you can engage with.
I definitely agree with you that this game is extremely unique with so many different ways to play the game however you feel like. Really appreciate you legend for all you said 🤝
This is one of my favorite games of all time. Definitely feels too slept on for how good it is. The devs are super busy with the upcoming 007 game, but I hope they eventually bring back the multiplayer mode, flesh it out and really figure out their live service model. That would help retain the playerbase better at any given time. Edit: a typo
1st view, I have played all the hitman games and love all of them, these days ive been grinding r6 and playing through assassin's creed but I cherish all the memories I have from the hitman games.
