It's always strange to me when one of these Nicki Swift videos claims to be about why an actor isn't getting work any more, but then the whole video is about how much work they ARE doing.
Lechiffresix.... agree. I am finding it harder and harder to have respect and understanding for people who are involved with this cult. I just shake my head & wonder.... really?
Replace spaceships and volcanos with chariots of fire and a human that can walk on water and you'll never look at Christians the same way either. There's not much difference between the two except for timing.
@@gregoryadkins2213, you're right. I should not have said that. I wrote this comment 3 years ago before I began an endeavor to practice not contributing to the negativity on the internet. Forgive me for being a jerk. Namaste.
She was just too good as Dharma to play any other roles. Everyone loved Dharma. She was very sexy with amazingly long legs. Dharma and the cast were classic.
I liked Dharma and Greg. I think the chemistry between the two made the show and he kept her centered and she gave him a little bit of crazy. They didn't stray too far either way. After that she just went for crazy stuff with that quirky attitude she had in D&G without Greg to balance it. Didn't work out for her. Maybe that's working for her on the podcast, her husband is a calmer person.
Scientology aside, by listing her numerous roles, bad or good, since Dharma & Greg, you completely contradicted your premise. Hollywood seems to be casting her continually.
Fear The Walking Dead is proof she still gets work. Far as Scientology....WGAF... its her thing and her business... other hypocrites on the post in general make like her being one has ruined their lives... think again... get over yourselves and worry about your life and beliefs.
It's 2017 and they're making Rachel Dratch do a Macarena joke? That makes me sad. Forget Jenna Elfman, Rachel Dratch is one of the funniest people out there.
I adore her. I watched all of her sitcoms. I thought she brought much to each show. I hope eventually she's back to prime time. I would love to see her do a another Greg and darma, maybe in another city, situation etc... If Rosanne can do it, why not take chance on something that worked before?
The podcast isn't holding her back at all. There have been huge gaps in the podcast schedule while shooting Imaginary Mary in Vancouver. So if she's not being cast in movies,or TV shows, it's not because of her commitment to her podcast.
She appeals to a cerebral audience who are all dead now. Dharma And Gregg took place in the Bay area and the characters represented a very special brand of San Francisco urbanite. Sadly this generation has been pushed out by techie-whores and programmer slaves, thus the climate has completely changed along with tastes in sitcoms. There's a sitcom about techies that are a dime a dozen these days. Loved her then, always will.
Jenna Elfman is kind of a TV version of Renee Zellweger, IMO. "How many Renee Zellwegers do you need?" is probably what a lot of producers have been asking themselves.
I actually liked Accidentally on purpose. Was a little disappointed when it was cancelled. I love Dharma and Greg. How can you not? Although I’m certainly not a fan of her involvement with Scientology at all.
You're wrong. She has a new TV show thats getting a bit of promotion so she is being cast. Not saying she's great or the show will last but its happening.
Not long after she was such a big thing, Bonnie Hunt was THE comic It girl in Hollywood, and seemed to fade from the limelight just as quickly, perhaps by choice.
That's just the beginning. How about selling your literal soul, and life, to them? How about signing a BILLION year contract with the Sea Org? Because, like, who would actually think that's a good idea? What is wrong with people?
+ScarlettCrimson The 'tithing' is the actual origin of organized religion. It was, and still is, the ultimate scam. You can fleece your flock every week and nobody can ever call you out on your bullshit, because to do so, they have to prove your spiel ain't fa real - and of course, they cannot. So long as you don't oppose the secular government, it's easy money - for which, in most cases, you don't have to pay taxes on. And the best part is - it's self-perpetuating. Your followers will go out and do their damnedest to recruit new members. Ever wonder why there's a church practically on every corner? Now you know.
Jenna Elfman is rich, healthy and working with her dance foundation. Sounds like she's enjoying a great life. Who needs a successful sitcom when you've already won the lottery of life.
I think we need look no further into why people don't support her than the Scientology link. People now know what that is (full of nut wacks). Those of us who are sane want no part of that, and don't want to associate with those who are involved with it.
umm doesn't she have this new tv series coming up. just saw her in conan. shes also pretty up there in age and married with kids. I think Hollywood won't cast her because of her not going out and auditioning.... bro I love your channel but this shit is getting ridiculous and just pure speculations on your end.
I loved Jenna and Dharma and Greg, but I have 2 say I wish that they would come out with more of the seasons on DVD, So far only 2 and the years that it has taken for that have been long (Season 1 June 13, 2006 Season 2 November 11, 2014) at the rate this is going I will be dead before they all come out Bummer! Thanks for this video and update
Jenna Elfman is one of the most likeable actresses ever to appear on a TV sitcom. But after Dharma and Greg, she was hustled through a series of shows that didn't capitalize on her public image and her superb comic timing. Whether that was due to bad advice or Elfman's own career choices, we'll never know. Obviously, she couldn't go on playing the same quirky character forever. She appears to be something of a free spirit, and an independent streak has scuttled more than one Hollywood career. And she has made sacrifices to preserve her marriage of 26 years to Bohdi Elfman and raise two children. Few women can juggle a domestic private life with a showbiz career. But millions of men still adore her. She must be doing something right. If showbiz can't find a way to capitalize on that, it's not Jenna's fault.
I F$cken love Jenna elfman. I've only watched some of those shows because of her. I wouldn't watch any of them if she wasn't in it. I've never written a comment before. I upvote Jenna and downvote negative in this video.
Jenna Elfman throwing Bugs Bunny's guitar out of the car should help make Daffy Duck getting brutally strangled by Brendan Fraiser feel a bit better about himself.
Nice job of re-inventing herself on Fear The Walking Dead. I suspect that underplaying (as she has done so well on that show) does NOT come naturally for her . . . .
For some reason I always thought she was a lesbian, I must have been confusing her with Anne Heche. Too bad she's caught up in Scientology. She seems to have a lot of spunk.
