As a 22 year appliance repair veteran I agree with one exception, I would take out multiple Craigslist ads (I know, I know, its not the topic Buying Leads :) ). The cost is $5 per ad and and I usually got 8-10 solid jobs per month from those low cost ads. Additionally, after every successful job I left a fridge magnet with my company info. on it with the customer. Over the years I received A LOT of solid monthly calls from past customers who needed appliances repaired and forgot my name and number but remembered my magnet on their fridge. Those customers always mentioned that they contacted me because of my magnet.

Yes! I forgot about Craigslist. I don’t use it anymore but you’re correct 👍🏾 magnets is the next level, we pass them out as well

Angie's ads suck. I'm stuck with them right now to waste of money. I have to spend money I don't have. Their people don't respond when they do respond. Most of the time they say they already found somebody when you reach back out to them right after receiving the notification. It needs to be set up better. Angie list is a waste of time and money. Definitely for a startup

You should read into the contract. You can get out of using them there are just fee stipulations depending how long you have been with them. II think Angie’s is the worst service ever created. They tried to convince me to stay past the 3 days so that I would be stuck with them but within the first 2 days I experienced exactly what you did, all leads that were sent I called instantly and they would say they had found someone already. Caught them in numerous lies during the process and they tried to act like they had never read the contract before, like example A they said there was no fees if I wanted to stop the service. In my experience I have had the most luck with google guaranteed.
