@@DeeSnutts agreed, but i was thinking if there a class action where they have to payback customers it could probably kill them, the sheer amount of transactions that have happened if they have to give evyrone like 5$ back theyre fucked lol
StockX customer service is pathetic. I've had many different go arounds w/ them. They absolutely refuse to go off script no matter what you say, what your circumstances are and whether you've spent $8 or $8,000,000. ...and it's extra hilarious when you consider the fact that StockX doesn't need to exist. It's absolutely ridiculous what Stockx (and sites like it) have done to the value of shoes. A mummy SB Dunk can be $200 in one size & $800 in another. Back in the day different sizes did cost different amounts. We're talking $25-$50 difference, tho. Not $500.
@@yogimimi1414 I'm aware. I try to NOT be a d*ck. I've had a major issue w/ StockX 5x. I lost my sh*t once. It was a $400 pair of shoes (tracking had not updated in 12 days). The C.S. agent refused to leave the script for 3 days. Like 25 emails altogether, of me typing out the same bs & him copy & pasting whatever is in his manual. That's infuriating...
The prices have nothing to do with Stock X. Stock X is simply a market, and resellers price whatever they want based on supply and demand. More sought after sizes cost more. But yeah sneaker prices are ridiculous. Resellers will always screw us sadly.
This sucks to hear! Honestly, I’m not surprised. I recently FINALLY won a drop on Nike for the Panda dunks. Order confirmed, etc. they weren’t shipping right away so I was a little worried. Come to find out, Nike cancelled my order & when I contacted them, they said they didn’t realize they didn’t have enough stock, so they refunded me. I was so bummed. It’s hard enough to even win a raffle or drop & now it’s got me thinking like “damn even if I win a drop, am I not guaranteed shoes anymore?” That’s super BS by Nike’s end.
@@alessandrograssi9310 100% not wrong. That’s the worst part of the video is knowing you’d spend so much money & you either get the wrong shoes, or fakes, how can a refutable company allow that?
I'm currently in a similar situation, but slightly worse. I won a pair of yeezy turtledoves on August 2nd (yzy day) and it was "shipped" on August 3rd. I called Adidas customer support on August 10th and they tell me to wait an additional 5 business days. 5 days pass and nothing happens. I call them again and they tell me that a specialist will email me shortly. Suprise suprise, no one contacts me. On August 20th, I call them again and they refuse to refund because "too much time has passed." Both Nike and Adidas are full of shit. As of August 28, it's still stuck in a different city.
I recently tried to buy from stockx with affirm for the first time. I wasn't approved through affirm so stockx automatically charged my card $400 without my approval. I'm going to keep the shoes assuming they are authentic, but I won't be buying from them anymore. Selling only.
My thought on this is stock x is flawed as are all these apps, eBay goat etc. It is part of the industry and hard to avoid. I personally have not had issues with stock x and have gotten killed on eBay, with bad condition shoes. If you dont like the app system stop supporting it buy from local shops and resellers.
I stopped using them around a year ago. I use goat now. Quicker shipping, and more authenticity. I have a location one state over so shipping is much more convenient for me and the buyer. Another issue I had was the constant bad reviews and overly excessive fees.
I sold some Yeezys in 2021 through stock x and never received a refund or anything when it got “lost in transit” and was abandoned as well. I have since stopped selling through stock x because of all the hoops and delays they made me jump through which made me unable to get all the “proper” documentation. Happy this is being shown more and more, but sad for everyone that have been through the same bs.
I've had no issues with stock x, however perhaps I've just been lucky. Goat once sent me the wrong shoes by mistake and even gave me a full refund (however I've heard some people say they could only get store credit) Goat aren't perfect, however their customer service is excellent. I sold a pair of Sean Weatherspoons and some thieving POS UPS employee stole them. Goat gave me my money.
I wish goat had stock x prices I mean sometim3s stock x wil be say 340 goat same shoe 375 and with stock x crazy fees they end up same price. Right now thought 379 for military black goat 400 crazy plus fees. It sucks cause I like stock x layout and prices
@@Lj-ov6zn Was going to post similar to what you did. GOAT charges shipping and tax. The fees are taken out of the seller's (9.5% + $5) end of the transaction.
@@wbrouilette If anything you said it better. I think people should focus on the final price, and in MY opinion look into the used section as well. In all honesty you can find shoes that have been worn once that will bring the price down hundreds of dollars. I like the shoes but as a sophomore working for myself i usually cant pay for all of them. Being able to get some of my favorite shoes from another person that also cares for shoes is nice, especially when you know you’re getting what you’ve paid for. And when it comes to buying deadstock…ebay, goat, and stadium goods are your best bets.
In my experience here in the UK all of these issues are solved by using a payment gateway that is ALWAYS connected to a credit card whos policy is to refund in case of customer dissatisfaction. Ring the CC company, explain my situation, get a refund via them instead. Its worked abroad with dodgy car rental companies too.
As a guy who lives in metro Detroit, I was really hoping for StockX to do well since their headquarters are here. Now through the experiences that I’ve had with StockX and listening to the experiences of others I’m ashamed of StockX having their headquarters in Detroit. GOAT is not perfect but is 100 times more trustworthy than StockX smh
StockX could’ve been great for Detroit if they didn’t spend all their money on marketing & influencers then cut all the important corners (authenticators, difference bt new/used items, & customer service). They really are an embarrassment
I’ve had 1 transaction on StockX. Ordered an off-white item, month goes by with no response. Reached out, similar situation and customer service garbage, ended up emailing 8+ times and didn’t get my refund until 3 months later. It’s a shame that it’s the go-to marketplace app when it’s so structurally unstable
It’s because people are idiot hype beasts throwing money around. Stock X was always the alpha compared to goat because when it was growing all these RU-vidrs were like stock x this stock x that, it’s the “best” because they were getting paid to say so.. I’ve only been using goat and never once have I had to complain to them. Now people are finally catching on about this stock X BS. Personally I won’t put my money near anything that won’t guarantee great customer support and returns/refunds. Just me tho
@@JoeMama-ly1kc I’m reading alot of comments about people saying the same thing about goat too tho, honestly nobody can be trusted out here unless you’re going to an outlet to buy em yourself 😭
im glad you are finally being against StockX... when theyve been full of crap the last several years. they ruined my items as well, sold them a travis shirt. they got it dirty on their dirty work desk and blamed me... returned it back to me opened from original package and now im stuck wearing the shirt. i hate their guts
It’s crazy to think that StockX is like this. I’ve had a problem with one of my orders before so I could understand how it’s frustrating to use StockX when they are the ones priding themselves on being one of the best in the game.
If these were your intentions: the way you guys transitioned to doing a different moving activity within every new topic discussion, really helps keep the viewer engaged with the video, such as driving the f1 simulator, walking around recording vlog style, or playing ping pong. It help keeps the readers attention, rather than persisting to film with the same atmosphere. Which in turn makes your watch time greater. But even if that’s not what you thought, continue to do this style of video.
I feel the same. I’ve spent over $20,000 on stockX but had one bad transaction where I had to file a chargeback because my item was in waiting for seller to ship status for over 2 weeks. There is no way to reach customer service and they don’t answer emails. It was my only available course of action and now I’m suspended.
I've never liked stockx, I ordered 1 pair of shoes and the fees and shipping was like $60-$70. After that I was done plus I just think GOAT is way better especially for what I want
I’ve been scammed by StockX on four separate occasions, losing over $1,000 from sales I made on the platform. Each time, they claimed the item I sent wasn’t correct, even though I know it was. It feels like they swapped what I sent with some fake knockoff, took a photo, and then charged me a $15 processing fee for a ‘wrong item.’ After that, I stopped using the site and now only sell locally. I know the pain of being burned like this. I hope the person who did this to you gets what they deserve. Stay strong, Brotha!
Rule #1: don’t buy from an app that you can’t talk to a human on the phone about. GOAT might be better than StockX but they too are awful with customer support. eBay is so far superior from a buying perspective.
The day I stopped buying from StockX is when I purchased a Europe Exclusive sneaker and the pair I got ended up shipping to me from China. I haven’t checked the authenticity for sure but that is too strange of a sourcing site for what I went after
GOAT is the best by far. I just hate how you cannot see pictures of the actual Brand New shoe that you purchased. This has caused a handful of issues for me. I have received several pairs of shoes that had scuffs, been tried on, or had some sort of defect, even though I bought the shoes ‘brand new in box’.
It has happened to me before where I sold a DS in bag tee to StockX and upon checking them they sent photos of it being dirty and used, which was obviously not the case.. I also bought something one time only and they had to look for a replacement TWICE to fulfill my order making it take over 1 month to receive it
UPS marked a StockX order as undeliverable (my office was closed because it was Saturday) and immediately returned it after 1 attempt. Took me a few emails to stockx, but it was definitely refunded (and it wasn't much more than your purchase). Their customer service has gotten better but it's still bad. I've spent about as much you have on this account lifetime. GOAT and eBay aren't any better though, plenty of horror stories there too.
I just bough 300$ shoes for my birthday from StockX. I finally convinced my parents after days of begging to buy from it since they're not in retail stores. Now I feel like I made a big mistake (Nothing happened yet, but I'm very scared) Can someone tell me what the chances are of getting scammed on StockX?
You'd figure at this point each major shoe manufacturer (Nike, Adidas, etc) would have their own in house service to verify shoes/products bought aftermarket
I received fully worn and dirty sneakers from StockX this summer and they wouldn't issue a refund until I sent the sneakers back and had their "authenticators" confirm that they were indeed worn and shouldn't have passed the authentication check in the first place, it also took weeks to resolve.
Thank you for making this. I got suspended for selling shoes and ups losing the package and they refused to pay me for 6 months till I had to threaten with legal matters.
Stockx is just very promoted, but in terms of overall performance, this marketplace was always bad. I would rather go with Ebay, Flight Club and Stadium Goods. I trust them more.
I sold a diamond supply co skate deck on stockx and shipped it out for authentication. Like two weeks later they finally sent me a email about the authentication saying it failed. I sent the receipt with the deck and the plastic covering on the deck was still intact and I sent it out completely covered in bubble wrap. When they returned it to me I had to pay because “it failed authentication” and it returned with the plastic completely ripped off the deck. I haven’t used stock X since
You guys ever consider that postal workers and UPS workers know when a box is coming from Stock-X, and maybe they are looking in the packages and taking what they want as they please? That story where that guy bought Dunks and got Air max sounds like someone did the old Switcharoo somewhere between Stock-X and the destination.
Something I’ve experienced a lot lately on these platforms is sellers cancelling on me after the purchase goes through, just to repost the item for 200$ more dollars. I’m unclear of this tactic but I’m currently waiting 3-5 business days for a refund of 500$ on a shoe I cannot even repurchase now because my money is on hold. Very frustrating it’s like the seller is saying, “okay you will pay 400 for this (cancel) let’s try 600 now”.
they sent me damaged shoes then told me to send them back and said they lost them in their warehouse and can't refund me until they find them. Been 6 months and I'm guessing they stole my money at this point.
I work for a fortune 500 online website as a senior manager in CS. Thats all I'll say. And we ABSOLUTELY put past order history into account. The fact that that account you had purchased 27k and they still just blew you off is crazy. Dont get me wrong, they shouldnt blow ANY customer off. But the fact that didnt give an F about your order history just shows a lack of tenure in the CS world from them.
Stock X is straight up terrible now. Probably a combination of them being greedy, not well run, and growing/expanding too quickly by trying to sell every niche market. I've been a seller with them since 2017. Things started going downhill for me btwn Oct & Nov 2020. Then they completely fell off a cliff at the end of April this year. I'm done with them and concentrating most of my time on eBay. Pro tip: For any buyer/seller, get yourself a Private Mailbox to receive your packages so you don't have to deal with package mishaps nearly as often. Many pack & ship locations and UPS Stores offer them. Price varies by location. Well worth the money spent for the peace of mind imo. One lost pair of Jordans is basically the cost of a 6 month rental in most areas.
I do the same thing whenever I don't receive a product I file a charge back with my bank as well and its honestly reasonable because if you didn't receive the item and they don't want to refund the money than its a clear reasonable reason.
I order 2 years ago from StockX jacket for 700$. They cancel my order and send my money to my old bank account. StockX said that they send money back and they Don’t have it enymore, and my bank told me that they never got enymoney. Noone help me with that and i never seen my 700$ again. Never more …
This is why GOAT has always been the best. Hardly anyone uses GOAT because it’s more expensive than StockX. But what no one sees is that GOAT is more trusted but ppl would rather spend less than spend much more quality on shoes
the wrong shoe thing happened to me once, bought jordan 4's for my girl and they sent me some random ass dunk lows that were worth about half the price. shitty thing is they also sent me the other persons receipt so they completely DOX'd me and another persons information to each other..
StockX went too far into the rest of hype culture with clothing, accessories, collectibles and NFTs. They dont care about the shoes as much any more, especially when it comes to authenticating
I totally agree with you and I'm glad you posted this video. I used to buy my shoes with stockX until I had an issue and never got my money back. I'll use Goat or eBay to buy shoes from now on.
Thanks for keeping it straight forward, stockx has almost become the place where you can find a lower price, but at this point it comes with so much hassle
With the amount of money you spent and then all the other things you've done through their account and they still suspended your account just blows my mind that is absolutely ridiculous I mean you're spending like a Year's worth of wages that people make you know I'm just sneakers like and on the buying aspect and then the back and forth with the selling to them so they can resell them for a profit you're doing that with them too and they suspend your account over this one $200 or whatever it is charge that's ridiculous
GOAT defenitly is the goat of snaker apps, however a MAJOR issue with them is their limited locations, causing people in places outside the US to pay an extra $100 of shipping and taxes on top of the shoes normal price which really sucks...
I placed a bid for a tee on StockX and won. Waited a month for it to ship and didn’t hear anything. Waited another month and still nothing. Tried to contact support and they didn’t get back to me for 2 weeks. 3 months after initial purchase I get an email from support saying they ‘forgot to tell me but the seller never shipped the item so they’ll refund me’. Absolute pisstake. Scam company
So happy to see a large creator make this, I had this exact situation happene with the supreme x Nike earring a couple years back, lost my money and received no earring
I agree stick to eBay I don’t mess with stock x period and never will they are not going to be a platform in a few years I would recommend if you sell on stock x move away from them
yez i just decided today to cut them off. I made a purchase over two weeks ago and shipper too over 5 business days to send it out. Red flag. Its been close to two weeks and Stockx hasnt received it at the facility. I've gotten 3 emails with no details of the delay. Already im thinking fraudulent. Lets just say since the two weeks of purchase the items price dramatically dropped. I'd like them to honor a refund. No buyer protection
See that's the worst part about it especially in Blake's you know what happened with him is that you buy a pair of sneakers at a certain price and then all of a sudden they blow up and they're worth double the amount so you you know being the good investor kind of you know know that these sneakers may go up so I'm going to buy them at this price and then you know six months down the line they'll be worth double that now he's out all that profit that he could have made which I'm sure is probably he probably was going to make double the money he put into it at least now he's out all that money there's nothing he can do about that and it's not like stockx is going to refund him for what they're worth now he's going to run refund they're going to get refunded for what he paid you know when he originally bought them so he's out probably 1500 $2,000 that's crazy and people don't understand that aspect of the game and you know that's why a lot of people are in you know doing this stuff to make money and right there it is one aspect of where he's not going to be able to make any money off of them he's actually going to lose money
Had a real sh*tty experience with Stockx recently. I sold a pair of yeezys and dunks so took them both to my local UPS drop off point. For some technical reason, when i dropped it off, only the e-receipt appeared on my text confirmation for the Yeezys. After a few days, both packages showed on the UPS package was on its way to StockX. I was paid for the Yeezys within a few days. However, after a week, the UPS finally confirmed the dunks had been delivered to StockX. SInce then, i have been in touch with UPS and Stockx. UPS advise they cannot action an investigation as StockX own the label that was sent to deliver the shoes. When i relayed this to Stockx, they refuse to assist with any investigation nor initiate an investigation with UPS. I have since been back to the store who have provided visual confirmation the dunks were scanned and collected by the UPS driver. This happened all back in Aug 2022 and now( Nov 22) StockX are refusing to assist with anything and i am out of pocket. Has anyone else had an issue similar like this/how did you manage to resolve this?
@harrison, check what's happening in the EU currently. You have to wait around 3+ weeks for auth. Stock X pipeline is completely blocked, and they do not reply to customer support emails. They randomly push pairs for early payout users, and that's it -_- regular sellers from Europe don't know what is happening there at all there. grimm times
Recently had a GOAT sale rejected due to "box damage". Without any photo evidence. I usually would send them to storage at that point and sell them through there. This time- I had them shipped back to me. What I discovered was a box cutter slice through the entire side of the sneaker box. Keep in mind that the sneaker box was completely bubble wrapped. No liability from GOAT's end. No apologies. These 3rd party marketplaces are all the same. Lazy and understaffed. Right now eBay is by far the best. The only major issue is that payment is not automatically taken when an offer is accepted. Buyers are free to send/accept offers with no penalty for not completing purchase. When/if eBay fixes that, they are going to completely take over the sneaker resell market.
Love this (not that it happened to you but the awareness) I have had similar problems with goat. Saying a 1000% ds pair straight from Nike was worn or damaged (twice actually) which makes me not trust any of these companies authenticators. I still sell on there but they Deff make me sweat lol
Nick, that shirt is fire! I agree, GOAT has been solid and being able to negotiate is awesome. I wrote them and could easily hire a UI Architect and it would be a game changer
yeah. one year later. things have gotten worse than that. even for non delivered parcels, they do everything they can to make sure you don't get a refund. 6 "lost parcels" in a month by the carrier they chose, 2 refunds only. not helping at all with the carrier.. worst experience in my life as a customer. 🤮😭
i sold some dunks, new from nike, perfectly fine. they charged me 20$ and send them back damage. the color was scratched on the sides. stockx really pisses me of lately.
I also need point on something. I agree with Harrison regarding the account problems. I've been selling AUTHENTIC pairs in StockX from a long time, I reached level 4 seller. All of a sudden, StockX refreshed my account and they reduced ALLLL THE WAY to level 1 seller. I contacted them but they didn't respond not even a single word!!!!
The reason why the stockx layout looks more appealing is because it has the same layout as a stock exchange app. Investing in sneakers is basically the same as stocks. Goat looks like a regular sneaker shop app, more like a reseller store
I just ordered 5 pairs on stockx, hopefully they good, I bought a black light to be sure and im headed to sneakercon san antonio to get them legitchecked. Also remember, the more bad publicity stockx gets, the better the company gets. especiialy with a lawsuit. They are dotting their i's and crossing their t's right now. If anything I think with all thats going on their probably the safest right now.
Wow, Stock X was my fav app to use too. Being from Canada, they're the only app I know of that deals with the tax up front so I don't incur customs fees. With the dollar exchange it's already pricey enough. I'm sorry this happened to you, dude. I know you're not trying to cancel them, but maybe they need to be brought down a peg or two.
I'm done as well, horrible support team and shady. I had to borderline harass them for weeks about being falsely charged over $1000. Took a lot of my time and effort just to get a refund. Totally back u up on your choice to not use the app anymore.
The biggest difference to me between stockx and goat is that stockx has the bidding system and you pretty much always can get for a little under market, goat the price is the price, authorization aside
Getting the Air Maxs and not the Mummy’s goes to show they didn’t even look at them, how could they have legit checked them if they didn’t even look at them long enough to notice the mistake.
Have only bought 1 pair of sneakers on StockX so far.. Jordan 1 Metallic Gold.. Said it would arrive in 2 months, but ended up arriving in 2 weeks.. Haven’t had any issues.. But I’m from The Netherlands, and StockX is really the only option, as eBay for example doesn’t show Kyle the authentic sneaker checkmate like it does for America
