There's still one McDonald's you haven't visited, the one at my palace. The PlayPlace has every console you can name, and the menu has every international menu item for my exquisite palate. Come join me the next time you're in my country
FYI: The McDonald that you ate at in Saudi Arabia is in remote area. That is way it is more expensive which is to compensate their employees for working in remote areas by paying higher salaries. Prices in the cities are very much like in the US.
i really want to visit thailand but the horror stories about corrupt officials planting drugs on tourists just keeps me away. and yes i believe them because someone in my town is currently in jail there
very interesting seeing the MC Arabia, its just like, two of the most microwaved looking chicken patties ever lmfao... was not expecting that. Also Drew, you went to a burger king and ordered a big mac :')
It's in a small town thats why the quality isn't the best, in bigger cities such as in jeddah and riyadh the quality is MUCH better and prices are cheaper too : )
@@holistic.health "burger"sounds too much like hamburger (in my native language dutch burger actually means "citizen" lol) hamburgers are beef or bust, they try to sell off half pork half beef off in europe as "hamburgers" in supermarkets even maccy D's wouldn'try taht shit, cardboard perhaps, maybe, but it's still beef. a true hamberder is beef i mean ham isn't even from a cow, so it's hard to argue the ham makes a burger beef
@@long-black-vietnamese-man well of course off camera he does but it caught me off guard after watching hours upon hours of his content without ever hearing it lmao
They should call it the small MAC as it is only tiny compared with it's original size , I would like to weigh one , McDonalds must be get around $40 a kilo when you weigh a number of their burgers to reach a kilo and I would not call the ingredients expensive ingredients .
I’m not American, but I understand the feeling of travelling and being able to eat something familiar like McDonald’s or KFC when you’ve been constantly eating something your stomach isn’t used to. It’s like a comfort food. This video is great!
My most bizarre McDonald’s experience was in Germany when most of the employ were black and everyone their was black too😂😂 (Ate McDonald’s in Germany, Lithuania, Poland, The USA and in Finland too I think)
I remember a McDonald’s in Hungary, Budapest. It was hands down the most beautiful McDonald’s I have been to. It was a gorgeous old building. Outstanding!
I had McDonald’s when I was in Hong Kong, it was great to get a McMuffin whenever I wanted rather than just in the morning like in the UK where I’m from.
Hahaha I love that he mentioned Switzerland. I'm American/swiss and my parents are divorced... So when my dad comes visit me and my brother, we always go to McDonalds. But after he realized how much McDonald's costs, he always gets mad and complains how ridiculous it is to pay so much for one meal.
Yeah, the prices in Switzerland are crazy. I spent a couple of days in Geneva and met quite a few people who worked there but lived out of town on the other side of the French/Swiss border because the price of living is just so high in that country. My dad paid 30 dollars for a burger there (to be fair it was an amazing burger, but still)
I’m in the republic of Georgia right now, 🇬🇪saw a McDonald’s and thought of you 😂😂😂 have you tried a subway in India? THAT is an experience (and video idea 😉
BTC should not be treated as currency cause it fluctuates a lot, that day you paid 0.000317 ($13.28....back then 1 BTC was $42k) today BTC went down to $34k, so those 0.000317 are valued in $10.84. In our economy now, you as a Bitcoin holder have to pay more for the same meal or if you are the restaurant owner and charged that day just 0.000317 BTC you have lost 18% of your profits. Not recommended AT ALL!
Agree. Just 6 months ago bitcoin was $60,000 now is at $30,000 in road to $20,000 ...not good for a business to keep Bitcoin for long periods of time, not a stable "currency". Bitcoin is an asset not a currency, something you win sometimes you lose.
Drew, actually McDonald's in the Philippines is underated.... Jollibee is Dominated Fast-food in our Country even in Canada many Branches of Jollibee, in Europe, and other parts of Asia.
The most excited I've been at a McDonalds was in Kyiv... on the menu they had a DOUBLE sausage & cheese egg McMuffin. My eyes lit up seeing it, but maybe my stomach wasn't too happy with me afterward. Still, it was a guilty McPleasure for sure:)
@@Nico-iv3wr Yes, I'm well aware of that. I had always called it Kiev... until I traveled there in 2018 and I then learned that Ukrainians call their city Kyiv. So, I embraced that.
@@doccolour Ok but then Rome would Roma, Moscow would be Moskva, Athens would be Athína, Cairo would be Al-Qāhirah and so on. It's just politically correctness, and it's annoying. Also, most of the people in Kiev speak Russian so they will say Kiev anyway, which doesn't mean they support Russia of course, they're still proud Ukrainians
McDonalds in Turkey was quite delicious, but my favorite was Thailand back in 2018. I wonder if they still have fried chicken and rice, I think of it to this day...
Chicken and rice menus are pretty much the standard in almost all South East Asian McDonald's (or any global fast food chain) so no need to worry about it
In Malaysia, we have the McArabia chicken- or at least something similar to it, called the Foldover. Aside from the patties, which you can order for chicken or beef, the foldover also contains tomatoes and onions, harissa, and instead of mayo, it uses garlic sauce which IMO is the very thing that made it real delish. However it's only available as a limited-time menu during Ramadhan and is quite sought-after so if you want one, you have to book early.
we have quite a number of seasonal limited time item don't we. my fav was the prosperity burger. "was" because they don't make the sauce quite as peppery as 10 years ago. back then, that burger was my "spicy food challenge" lol. and the patty got smaller now. sad.
@@Ruriko.Y strongly agreed. i haven't had prosperity eversince the pandemic began, so when i finally had one this year, the pepper is simply overwhelming. so much in fact, it literally made my tongue numb like mala pepper lmao only good thing about it now is that they somehow managed to make it better by stuffing in a piece of hash. but now that they temporarily stopped stocking it, maybe we won't have the golden prosperity next year :/
Yes !! Im from porto ur talking about the one in avenida dos aliados right? Downtown ? It used to be a really nice cafe and now it has been renovated but i went there with my uncle before this recent modernization of the space and it was soo beautiful . Right now its where we go when we're out drinking or the kebab place right next to it when its past 3 , some friends of mine used to work there as well
1:12 I have to clarify that we Venezuelans consider ourselves part of the Western Civilization because we are one of the countries of Latin America with the most Spaniard heritage, influence and one with the most US American influence received in recent decades despite the political situation (e.g. the Baseball Culture). I understand that politically, the regime is anti-Western and Latin America in general doesn’t belong to the Western Block in the UN, but culturally we are pretty Westerners maybe with the exception of some countries with more Indigenous influence than European (Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala or Mexico) which can be considered as Hybrid countries. So you have mentioned that most of the “Western” restaurants have shut down, I would correct it as: “most of US fast food restaurants” have shut down. I just wanted to clarify that.
Hey Drew, I felt the need to comment, thanking you for these videos. A combination of a medical scare and watching your videos has given me a new perspective and the feeling like I want to travel and explore the world. I've just started the process of researching how to backpack in Europe, and how to budget for it and such. Thanks for these videos man! They mean a lot to me :)
I ate McDonalds in 30, but in some in multiple cities.I always try (if avaiable) Starbucks, Subway, McDonalds, KFC & Costa Coffee, so I can compare them :) I hate that almost no country exept Germany doesn't have McRibs, which is my favorite.
Bangkok: Within 50 meters, there's three McDonald's! Boston, the mecca of Dunkin' Donuts: *Hold my coffee* The bread for the McArabia Chicken is supposed to be pita...which is honestly the saddest excuse of a pita I've ever seen. Saudi McDonald's may be expensive, but seeing as though you can play on a PS4 there, it's a small price to pay for salvation. Same for trying McDonald's all around the world. Is it bad for you? Yes. But does it give you an excuse to try new things? Also yes
12:20 It used to be free in the most Burger King's in Germany too, but I couldn't believe it when I used their order terminal a week ago. I order fries I get sauce, right? Not here anymore. So maybe its a COVID business tactic or whatever, but - not to give McDonalds too much credit here, their food is absolutely terrible when it comes to how long you feeling satisfied - they gave me digestive problems often too and it was a Burger King when one time I - I think because of a chicken sandwich(and I don't often that much so I know when food makes me feel ill) had to puke and felt an evening like I had fever. So, for the sake of not completely ending up in a rant against Burger King, I really appreciate your Thailand McDonalds Experience. Unbelieveable - and shocking on the other hand - which dimension their business gained in the local food market.
Burger King in Germany is absolutely awful. There have been some scandals leaked but it's actually much worse _(insider info)._ McDonald's on the other hand is getting better and better with each year! For example, every burger is prepared fresh. Even small and often ordered items like cheeseburgers and BigMacs don't sit on a shelf _( there are small exceptions at busy train stations)_ but are prepared after you made your order! They also look nice. 25+ years ago McDonald's was kinda shady place, here in Germany _(my father still loved it)._ No it looks clean and modern. Plus free Wi-Fi. I like to eat there, here and then and then have a coffee and surf the internet afterwards. McDonald's is really something else now. Kinda funny that the kids today don't remember McD as a fucked up place, for often fucked up people with cheap food _(not anymore!!)_ and that some of the restaurants were really shady places...
Venezuela's mcdonalds costs so much because price was so inconsistent, let's say you bought all the ingredients for 4 million bolivares but then it got to 3/5 million and also because almost nobody could afford one and they have to sell it for an expensive price because they have to keep business going.
Hi drew I tried the mcarabia chicken in Dubai and I found it to be very unique and tasty as well. The bread used is somewhat a cross between Arabian bread and naan bread. The sesame on it also adds to the taste. Idk why you couldn’t enjoy it
I once went to this McDonalds in Oshawa Ontario. it wasn't the restaurant that was weird but the people who were there. The entire city is Bizarre. The Oshawarians are an interesting bunch lol.

With their magical sounds and enchanting rhythms, they'll have you dancing and smiling from ear to ear in no time. Happy listening!
One should never eat at McDonalds. It's like taking poison. Even before I knew how poisonous the food there is I would not go to a different country and eat at McDonalds there since I would want to eat the local dishes. I mean unless those totally sucked that is but I never had that.
Funny watching this now, knowing no foreign traders are any longer trading in Russia. An interesting topic to which a video or mini series on McDonald's Worldwide would be great to watch. Not being much of McDonald's fan, living in England, they're food just isn't all that great, although my young children love it. I'd rather go to BK. But showing the variables of McDonald's around the World would be great. Keep up the great Vids Drew
Ketchup is free in Australia too! Unfortunately McDonalds isn't so affordable here anymore though. A few years ago I remember a cheeseburger being about $2.50 and now they're over $4. And meals used to be around $7 and now well over $10.
In Venezuela we mostly go to McDonalds for the McFlurry. There's a myth every time a new flavor comes up something impactful for the country will happen.
Wow, Drew! You’ve been visiting McDonald’s in El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Venezuela. And you’ve also visited Burger King in Yakutsk, Russia, which was the coldest city there. That’s the most bizarre experience you have.
Hey drew! I was wondering, have you ever travelled to dallol while you were in Ethiopia? It’s classified as the hottest place on your earth 🔥 and has a cool space-like surface you can’t see anywhere else. If you haven’t gone I truly suggest you do.
What a crossover! Didn't know you hang out with Daniel Dhers, one of the best bmx riders ever and proud Venezuelan. Cheers man, from Caracas. Btw, since the dollar took over the economy prices has recently stopped going up every day like crazy.
Anyone else see how much food he got for $15 and think "Most expensive?" That's the price of the average single combo in Canada haha to get that much food for just, yes, just $15, is a bit of a steal IMO
Can you make a video talking about the Presidential election in the Philippines? Many people around the world have been interested in this. Maybe your familiarity with and love of the Philippines can help you describe this event to people.
7:39 Drew “it’s expensive 70$ to feed 5 people” 😂😂.in HAWAII I get a McDouble 10 Nuggets, a Apple pie, and a small fry and it’s over 22$😅, a filet o fish is over $6
I'm from Saudi Arabia, I would've never eaten at McDonalds if it was $71 for 5 people 7:41... I think you meant 71SAR which is just $19. McDonald's is probably the cheapest American fast food chain (And even cheaper than most local fast food chains) in Saudi like 71 bucks could actually feed 10 people. Fun fact: McDonald's in Saudi has 2 different franchisees based on region, In Riyadh, North and East Saudi is franchised by Riyadh Food Cooperation while in West and South Saudi is franchised by Reza Food Services Co Ltd.
Hopefully you didn’t get health problems from McDonald’s how can you put such shit in your body god bless you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😂😂 with the money You should eat a real burger 💯 but still banger Video big props 🔥🔥🔥
Very inacurate info of Venezuela. Why? Simply because the country is dolarized. There is no hyperinflation anymore. Mcdonalds Quality is a standard over the world.
Nice, but i haven't eaten at a McDonalds for ages, because in Greece we have a much better version of that, called Goody's Burger House. Their burgers are way tastier and bigger. Not to mention that there are many really excellent burger shops (not franchises) that i can recommend which use local meat.
@@Alex_Gordon yeah but the portions are bigger, i eat a burger with chips in goodys and feel my stomach full, whereas in mc don't remember that happening. Besides in Athens you can find excellent street food (sandwich or souvlaki) with 6 euros or less.
At 6:59 Drew is not in Saudi Arabia. He's in the parking lot of the Mcdonald's at the corner of Bell Rd. & N. Tatum Blvd in Scottsdale, Arizona. 4830 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. You can see the Home Depot across the street, the Arby's found in the back, and the Circle K behind him. Why can't he just use it as a prop for his story and not have to lie about where he is?
I was in Thailand for seven days last month, I tried McDonalds once on the first day just to cross Thailand McDonalds off my list and I ended up going back three times. The food and the service is something you can’t find at any restaurant in the United States.
How do you comunicate so much beauty? It's Incredible. I just look at it and it brings me to tears. Because I'm looking at it and I'm looking at myself. Yeah you've never really seen McDonald's until you've seen it on 5meo DMT. Until you recognize that it's you and that's basically what Infinity is. Sort of like I love you, no I love you, no I love you, no I love you, no I love you more, I love you more, I love you more. Who can love who more? And whoever can love who more is God. You see that long laundry list of stuff about you that you don't love. God loves all of it. I'm sorry for not loving more, that's the only thing you have to be sorry about. Thank you. Thank You For Love! And at this point you realize that that's it, that's the point. That's the only lesson in life. That's my only job. Is to love. Everything else is idiocy and then what you do is you say I love you. For the first time in your life you say I love you because you really understand what that phrase means and you fall in love with God. But as it throws it out there, it's gentle so he throws it out there but then you say oh I can't love it and then what God will say in return is, it's okay. I love that you are not capable of love. I love that. And when that hits you. That's what fills you with enough love to overcome your resistance to love even that next level thing that you could do. No it can't be love. Of course it's love! what else could it be! It's love! No oh my God this is impossible! Of course it's love how could it be anything else!? How could I be so stupid as to think it's anything else. And God is like of course it's love.
you should try one in indonesia. i was surprised it wasn't included here. the main thing about indonesian mcdonalds are the fried chicken, like kfc's. here it's such a huge competition between these two, and the competition is about the marketing of fried chicken, never burgers. if you ask every indonesian, what comes up to their mind when they hear mcdonalds or what will they eat at mcdonalds, it will always be chicken. and to be fair, they do taste amazing :)
This makes me feel less bad about eating McDonald's twice in Italy within a few days. One time it was just because I was hungry at a train station, but the other time it was because it was the only place I could find in central Milan. Also, I noticed in Rome there are signs for McDonalds everywhere, but I think I only ever saw one actual location.
Drew I remember I started watching you a couple months before COVID started. I remember, as a junior in high school, seriously considering not going to college and starting a travel RU-vid channel like you. Then Covid happened 😵💫. But with Covid - somewhat - winding down, I can not wait to study abroad and visit countries. Truly inspirational what you do bro!!!! If you’re ever feeling crazy and wanna visit boring ass historic Gettysburg, hit me up!
This video had me laughing out loud even the clips that I had seen before in your previous videos. My wife and I had McDonald’s in Paris after a week there to take a break from the local cuisine. It was good and pretty standard compared to what you would find in the USA.
Quite interesting to see how different these are. Did they use thinner patties in the Venuzealan one, and is that why they used such a massive amount of sauce?
Drew, I have only been to 18 countries, but overseas 26 times. Was making my 10th trip to the Republik van Suid Afrika this autumn, until I had a stroke in February. The only time I got really sick overseas, is when I ordered a Big Mac on Copacabana beach at a McDonald's in Rio. I like you have eaten at McDonalds in 18 countries. The one in Reykjavik on the Laugevaagur Street shut down. Beef doesnt sit well with fish based Icelandic people. Besides South Africa and Australia, Iceland is one of my favorite places. Greg, Springfield, Lousiana.
