You are going to be sitting and talking towards that empty walls. This means for the best sound, you are going to want the sound blocking material at the lower level to be the most effective with the camera and mic. This might not look the greatest, but function wise this is the best and honestly, it will still look good. Then the extra storage will just he a bonus.

Put some carpet down will help with sound reflections, they are called self tapping screws by the way.

Why not instead bolt a "floating" cage/mount for each PC above the tables to the wall. Would be no need for table legs then. Could maybe decorate around the "floating" PCs to make it look nice. Or at least mount the streaming PC above the streaming corner. Use a triangle corner shelf for it or something.

With over 800 comments so far, not sure there's any point writing this, but as a serious amateur audio engineer I kinda cringe every time I hear 99% of you tubers talk about both acoustics and "editing PC's". In the first place those stick on foam pyramid things are next to useless: I'm happy to hear Kyle has some deeper ones to put up, but if they're just deeper variations of the foam sticky pads, they're not going to do much. What is needed is something called a broad band acoustic panel, where the 'broad' refers to the panels ability to deal with bass, mid and treble frequencies. Four inches deep sounds about right, but it's the variation in the density of the materials used in its construction that give it the ability to affect a wide frequency range. While it won't do as good a job as a real bass trap on bass (normally placed in corners), if it's well designed it will certainly help. You can DIY these, but as always, if you have the money check out GIK acoustics (no affiliation just a happy customer). Also, nearly everyone forgets that sound bounces off ceilings, and in tall rooms like this one, that's going to need to be addressed. Check out acoustic "cloud" panels designed to be hung above your head - possibly combined with your proposed lighting grid? Secondly, typically you tubers make zero attempt to factor in monitoring audio with their "editing PC's" - which is laughable when they have thousands of dollars worth of PC and visual monitors costing thousands more, plus thousands of dollars worth of cameras, all wired up to low end budget audio interfaces, crappy PC speakers and zero acoustic room treatment in their "editing" room - as if editing were an entirely visual process!! So here's a categorical fact: a few hundred dollars (much less if you DIY) worth of acoustic room treatment, even if it only addresses the first reflections around the monitoring / editing position, will make a night and day difference to your audio because you will actually be able to hear what is going on in your recordings. The acoustic treatment is the first, second and third priority. This is because, while you'll never hear what you've actually recorded with all your expensive gear through crappy PC speakers, through a crappy audio interface, the irony is that 99% of your audience are listening on similar equipment, so if you mix your audio on crappy gear and it sounds OK to you, it will probably sound OK to your audience. This is why professional mixing engineers A/B their mixes from insanely expensive studio monitors, to tiny little cube speakers and headphones- they are making sure it sounds good on EVERYTHING from a club P.A. to a mono radio speaker, to an audiophile "listening room". That would be overkill for you tube of course, but audio tends to be what gets forgotten while having a huge impact on how viewers assess the quality of production. P.S. I wouldn't have bothered to write all this if I wasn't a huge fan of Kyle and Paul, so please up vote just so there's a faint chance Kyle might read this. Cheers.

put big nuts and bolts through the whole width of the wall between the set and kitchen/toilet and take the load and distribute it by adding a big flat plate or crosses on the opposite side of the wall where the shelves go. its kinda like a cpu mounting system ,and how they distribute the load over the whole area of the mobo. in buildings they are doing this for a long time, at least i see this technique here in germany in /on older buildings

FYI, for those acoustic panels. They have silicone on them, which makes it hard for them to stick properly. HOWEVER ;-) You can use cheap white Elmer's Glue, like you used in elementary school and stick those panels to carboard or like I did, 1/4inch plywood. And you will have to rip or tear the foam into to get it off after using white glue..

You should consider mounting the sound panels a couple inches off the wall. Sound will bounce off the wall and get absorbed by the back of the panel. Also get some rugs.
