Absolutely, i prefer multinational crew. Also European superintendents and office people dont bother people onboard as much as Indians do. But there are pros and cons. There has to be a few Indians for Homely feeling.

Master like him defamed indians crew alot thats the reason most of the companies are not preferring Indians as a crew resulting in unemployment i have sailed with both multinational and Indians and no other nationality crew can work hard like Indians I can bet on that yes they are involved in poltics here and there but when it comes to working they will do anything for ch. Officer I have myself seen crewmemmbers putting extra effort for ch. Off working 18 to 24 hrs without complaining and they get peanuts when we compare them with phillipinos
Very true sir politics issue with Indian crew . I realised this on the first vessel itself. But when I sailed with multinational Indian phillipino crew Ukranian master the things changed

The reason of Master change company are 1. salary 2. compensation and benefits (internet, healthcard, etc.) 3. (worst) unexpected incident in last contract. capt if you remember me i commented i think 2 yrs ago about giving me advice on my 1st act as master. anyway have a safe voyage and fair winds - filipino master
Still we need to ask these questions from our technical ship management of Indian mariners why crew onboard ship is not happy with superintendent. They are not looking after the welfare of crew on board ship in comparison with European technical managers because they nitty and gritty of saving us$ and comprising safety, security and pollution aspects of the ships. Moreover, EOHS system will be compromise dealing with the operations and procedure issues.
