You nailed one very important thing about motorcycling...ride your ride....finding that bike that fits your style, personality, and function is so important. I felt the same way when I changed my bike...when you’ve found the right fit you just know it!
I feel the same way. I was always into the naked sport bikes like the Kawasaki ZRX and muscle bikes like the vmax. Harleys didn’t appeal to me at all (except for the sound). Then about a month ago I saw a picture of the new fat bob and was instantly hooked. Tough, sporty and mean looking. Went to the local Harley dealer and bought one, didn’t even test ride it, I knew I would like it (Your videos definitely helped). No doubt, Harley definitely stepped up their game.

I'm pretty sure that it is absolutely a good decision. I had an Iron 1200 before this. You're going to be even more amazed coming from an 883. Would love to be able to ride my baby in Brazil!
Took the 2020 for a ride dream ride today and it was an absolute blast compared to my 2019 Iron 883. Lookin at this for my next bike as I plan on taking full use of the Harley Freedom Promise. Great video! ? Would love to see some nighttime videos showing that headlight. With that said how is the headlight at night?
I moved up from an Iron 1200 and the difference was huge. Can only imagine what you felt in the difference between the Fat Bob and your 883. I did exactly what you're talking about in that I took advantage of the Freedom Promise program. That made it real easy to upgrade. I wonder if they realized the program would do that?? LOL I'll try to capture some night video over the next week or two. I had upgraded the light on my Iron to the HD Daymaker last year. I can say that the headlight on the Fat Bob is many times more effective. It really lights up the road. Thanks for watching!!
Being Here Now, with Percy - Yeah when I mentioned the Freedom Promise to the guy at the demo truck he literally said “It’s almost like we thought you’d do that” 🤣. I laughed at your video when you first test rode it cause my reaction was pretty much the same. Kept putting a smile on my face. I rode the 1200 and hated the forward controls on it with the handlebar setup it had. Was killing my back. Also rode the Low Rider S and that was much better but man the Fat Boy really impressed! Can’t wait for that night video. Subscribed and notification on 👍🏼 Also looking at getting a Cardo lol.
That Cardo Freecom+ was one of the best things I've bought recently. It comes with the upgraded JBL speakers. They sound great. Nothing like riding while rocking out! And THANKS for hitting that sub and bell!!!!

Thanks for the comment and for sub'ing!! That's a really hard question to answer. 1,868cc's is a pretty big engine. I know there are all kinds of theories around what someone should get for their first bike. I think it comes down to the individual. I started out when I was a young'un on a 125 before moving to an 800 (which was pretty big back in the day). When I started riding again I bought an Iron 1200 then moved up to this about 10 months later. I think the right first bike is the one that fits they type of riding you're going to do and your ability to ride it comfortably within your skill range. You probably rode a Street 500 if you did the HD academy, right? Did that bike feel small to you as far as the power and controllability?

I hear you on that one. Fortunately for me, my trade-in took the price down to under $10K for my Fat Bob. They’re going to have a tough time going after younger riders unless they bring out some models that hit the price point for those younger riders.
Pretty much Everything is insanely expensive now. Before buying my fat bob I. Necked some others. A Kawasaki versys 1000 has about the same list price as the bob. Seems the metric bikes have gone up at a faster rate From what I see. In 2003 a bud of mine paid 3k less than I just did for a Harley deuce. Besides, you only live once, enjoy it.
Basigman 12 For me, the decision isn’t about power between the 107 and 114. It’s more about value for the price difference. The 114 is a better buy in that regard. More power and more features for a relatively small price difference. Plus I’ve read where they are no longer going to make the 107 after this year. Check out Ridin Dad that I linked to in this video. He has the 107.
I herd the 107 accelerators a little punchier, but the 114 is better if you want to upgrade the motor later. Also as already said the abs ect. I fell hard for the orange color when in the sun sooo I went 114 for sure. I’m a bigger guy but if I was like 5’7” and slimmer the 107 might be the hit for me. Also having the 114 is ego stroking a lil... I got my bike for the ride but also as a life reward so I wanted it all. Sometimes getting it all is good other times the frugal features are the win. Both choices are okay... make the great one for you. If you go 107 or 114 your still the shit either way 😎✌🏼
