Would you ever consider making a couple and then selling them? I'm in the same boat, I need diffusion, but I can't afford the prices of the ones I see online. I'm also not particularly handy, and don't have the space or materials to make my own.

Henri, I certainly considered making them for sale but in all honesty the price wouldn't be too far off from the GIK Acoustic panels due to the amount of labor involved. For this reason I consider that the GIK panels are a great value. My suggestion is to hold on and save some money until you could afford the GIK panels. Making my own panels proved to be a labor of love and I enjoyed every minute of it but making them for sale is completely different story.

What's the Cubic Footage of your Room???

It's pretty small, you need to consider that anything under 3000 cubic feet is gonna enhance the low end you might have a bommy room, the treatment you need the most are big bass traps covering most of the corners. You can download a software that's for free. REW (Room EQ Wizard), so you can do Acoustic Measurements and see how everything you put in the walls affects the room acoustics. I think the wood clapping thing only shows you a very small frecuencie range and mostly mid and highs which are way easier to control

You may be completely right but I am just and audiophile who enjoys the DIY aspect of getting a room sounding better. I am no acoustic expert or engineer and the software may be too technical for me. Thanks for the information though I may take a look anyway. Saludos.
