I think he love her for being a sweet girl but he wasn’t in love with her and she brought up the subject at the wrong time when he was working on his business so it was just a bit easier to let her go.
He could have been focusing a lot more on work and she was afraid that he was going to leave her due to a lack of time being spent together so she put all her chips on the table like, “I’m gonna support you but I want you to marry me if I do.” She didn’t want to be a pushover who got used in the end and I can respect that honestly.
Less than ideal communication on both ends. Sad. Their relationship sounds otherwise lovely if not for that small hiccup that could've been fixed. Outsider opinion based on little information though.

I agree with their perspective of not staying friends with exes. All my relationships didnt end well so I couldnt be friends with them anyway. I think even if a relationship ended mutually, I couldn't be friends with them, it would just be too awkward for me.

16:45 I overall agree with so far, but there's an argument to be made in developing and building a relationship together, overcoming miscommunication and missteps along the way. That being said, if I were in a similar situation I'd probably also lean toward Ed's perspective; it's just a very delicate balance and a lot of difficult sorting through of emotions. 23:00 And also an argument to be made about letting go of a unicorn. A down-to-earth, genuinely sweet, supportive, self-conscious, caring, rich, big titted girl, loves you and is loyal... If her only problem was her childhood past of overdependence on money, hell, I'd stick with this otherwise amazing woman and help guide her to be better in this ONE thing. No one is perfect, and she damn well is almost perfect; and her imperfections can be worked on.
Omg my bf does the same exact thing as Ed he goes through each aisle in the grocery store. It drove me crazy at first. He also has to check every egg in a carton to make sure it’s okay before he buys it
My mom used to make kimchi and this sea bass soup. I hated the texture of the fish as a kid so I didn't like it until later. Then she started making more western things, but now we kind of just cook for ourselves
Man I had to deal with the opposite of that girl. Poor as shit, reliant on others, no paycheck, possessive but would ignore you. We never dated which adds another layer to how weird that experience was. What's more fucked up is he questioned me one time and asked, "are you only hanging out with me to entertain your friends?" I was so taken aback from the question that the red flags didn't show up because I was so confused as to why anyone would ask that. "no....?" "OK *dramatic sigh* I believe you" In retrospect, I'm realizing that's what he was doing. Just saying I had a dream that he died and no one cared. My 5 hours of sleep felt like a complete 8. I'm just hoping it was a premonition.
Should People Be Friends With Their Exes? My opinion is that if the ex couple ended the relationship on good terms, and they can accept that it's over for them romantically, then friendship can work. However, if the ex couple ended it on bad terms, or if there's residual romantic feelings towards each other from either party, then it's best that they both cut off all contact and ties with each other.
Edtwo, I don't know if you ever tried taking baking soda (arm&hammer) for your acid reflux? It works FAST, and it's way cheaper. 1tbs of powder in a cup of cold water, mix well, and then shoot it. It will make you burp, then no more reflux.
No I fully just had to search what twinkies are because I’ve never heard of it before and it does look like a yum yum but with cream inside. Yum yum is a type of pasty that is eaten in the Uk and Europe (FYI I’m from the UK) so technically he’s not wrong because it looks like one

To me, since you even met her parents, it feels like it was her parents telling her that she had to make it concrete. I doubt that was her own will, parents that live on the upper side usually do that.
