Thanks for your honest review, I'm looking for a new racket for me, this helps a lot, probably will try the whiteout 18x20 std version for now before trying the xtd version one

I started playing with the 18x20 XTD a bit more than 3 weeks ago and am going to make the switch to it. I found better accuracy than my previous frame, way more free power and depth and even the spin was on par. No reason for me NOT to switch. (My previous frame were the 2021 and 2023 vcore 95’s). I do feel soreness after long hitting sessions but not actual pain. I’m pretty sure it’s the stiffness in the hoop of the frame. For me it was considerably worse when i used ALU in it, then i put Razor Soft and it’s definitely more plush. Will try Solinco outlast as well as I used that as my primary string in the vcores.

Is outlast a soft string? Softer than Razor Soft?
@mathieu08912

@@villiam7941 no super stiff. But just because I’m used to it in my vcore I’ll give it a try just to see 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had the same arm issues with my PD+ and the one thing that cured it and made the racket play better as well was using natural gut in the mains and a good poly on the crosses such as ALU. Right now I have it strung with VS 15L at 63 lbs in the mains and ALU 16 at 60 lbs in the crosses and it plays great. With the 18x20 Whiteout I would go to a much lower tension, maybe start at 48Mx45C and see how it feels!

I hear you regarding arm pain being caused by the extended length. I had the same experience when playing with the Yonex DR98+ a few years ago. It was a comfortable frame (RA of 62 if my memory serves), but ended up bothering my arm in the way the regular DR98 didn't. I just think there was too much leverage on the extended version, especially on serve where it took a toll on my elbow to decelerate after contact.

I would love to see how this plays with a full bed of Grapplesnake Tour M8 strung at low tensions. I love my Whiteout 18 x 20 XTD with a gut poly hybrid of Wilson 17 natural gut and Tier 1 Ghostwire 19 strung at 42 mains and 38 crosses. The 18 x 20 string pattern maintains good control and the ball pocketing and feel I get at these tensions is outstanding. Of course, I play mostly doubles where extra feel and touch are valuable assets. Grapplesnake Tour M8 is known for having good playability at lower tensions (according to Tennisnerd) and the think the Whiteout 18 x 20 shins for me at lower tensions, so I would be most interested to get your thoughts.

I would LOVE to see a video on the ranking of EXTENDED RACKETS now that the Yonex VCore 100+ has joined the ranks of the Solincos. Really curious to see how YOU like it in particular. I was a fan of the Ezone 100 (2021) for doubles (which I play almost exclusively) and switched to the Solinco Whiteout 18x20 XTD about 8 months ago for the extra control from the denser pattern and the extra plow from the 27.5 inch frame. Really interested to see how the Yonex VCore 100+ fits in the there with the Solincos, Yonexs, and Bablolat extended rackets. How would you now rank all the extended 98 and 100 extended sticks for overall playability?

Looking for secondary racket if I got tired after long sessions with Blade Pro 18x20. Will WO18 give similar result albeit easier playability or Blade Pro 16x19 will be better?

Is the normal version more comfy? Are you planning on testing the Standard Whiteout 18x20? Maybe it has most of the qualities of the XTD without the discomfort. Maybe it’s worth a test and me personally would be looking forward on your opinion about the Standard one.

I think the normal one is more comfortable on the arm. I will hopefully test regular 18/20 later this year.

I have the standart 18x20 and i think the arm issue is from carbon fibre 40 especially when you lift the racket for higher shots. I have to say you are honest youtuber i bought radical pro after your video also have Gravity pro and totally agry the way you feel about rackets
@MPTennis
@MPTennis 11 месяцев назад
Thanks. Appreciate it. Some people don't think that, but I am trying my best here. I reviewed the 16/19 reg and didn't notice. Maybe the 40T + 18x20 (which is a tougher stringbed to play) combined is making the arm pain happen. This only becomes more difficult when you add an extra half inch. I tested the last two racquets of my racquet bracket for a long time. In the long run, it was hard on my arm. Some racquets I get discomfort right away.

@@MPTennis if i play with ps97 v14 I can't hit the ball out, but also not that deep. Feels rlly controllable and good feel, butmiss lil power. Forehand and OHB. Tips?
@MPTennis
@MPTennis 11 месяцев назад
Ya, I would suggest lowering tension. Many people are playing really low tensions nowadays. You could also try different string set up. With control racquets its very common what you are saying. Even when I demo some racquets I can feel that. That feeling is different depending on the person and factors in level, strength, technique, and footwork.@@sjowieso7599

@MPTennis
@MPTennis 11 месяцев назад
I don’t hit a OHB so I don’t really have a constant feel of all racquets on it compared to THB. It just felt really stable and easy pop and depth. Some racquets just feel so unstable and this one was awesome

A racket causing arm pain is definitely not worth playing with, let alone making it your new "2nd best" racket. Also I watched the show down with Radical Pro (heavily customized) as your winner. All rackets in the duel should all be stock and with same strings and tension to be fair comparison. Even listing the customisation doesn't make it legit imho. Good to know the Solinco White Out XTD caused some arm issues. Grateful for your honest review.
