At 73 I have to shoot at least every other day to maintain control. I only drawing 55-56 lbs but I shoot in groups of 5 at least 5 times at several different yardages to only 50 yards. This routine is invaluable come ASA shoots and then hunting season
I’m 69 and I shoot almost every day. I only get to the range a time or two per week. Otherwise I can shoot 1” dots at 10 yds at home. I’ll shoot either 3 or 5 arrows at a time, and usually a minimum of 30 arrows. I work out nearly every day and as well I use rubber bands to mimic a bow draw as well as work other angles to affect the entire shoulder front, back, and side. I feel I need that to keep my shoulders healthy. I run two PSE bows, a Mach 34 and an EVL 34, both set at approx 63 / 64 lbs. Last year I shot approx 8300 arrows (yes I track that) and so far this year, I am on track to exceed 10K. We all need goals right?
I’m 67 and shoot every night I’m home either inside or out. I’m the same I only shoot 55lbs 3 arrows at a time and 3 rounds at each yardage.I start at 20 and go back to 50 at 5 yd increments. I shoot over 10, to 11,000 a year. I work out at the gym 3 hours a day four days a week so I’m in great shape to begin with but you can’t replace actual shooting to stay in shape. Quality over quantity always!!
I am the youngest among us, and I am 57 years old. I take 100 shots every day, as not everyone can afford to be as lazy as I am to shoot every day. However, I can, and it brings me great pleasure.
