My recently purchased 2015 GS350 F Sport is what I consider to be an ideal street car. I have had cars with literally double the HP but the Lexus is quick enough for the street and won't get you into the ticket zone in a couple seconds. The handling, as mentioned, is excellent given the weight of the car. Adaptive suspension on the 2015 F Sport keeps the car from leaning much, too. It's smooth over bumps in Normal mode and tightens up in Sport+. One point I don't see mentioned often is how short the turning radius is. The car will make a U turn into the left lane rather than taking up the entire road. Stock stereo (Pioneer?) is actually pretty good, too. Very clean sound and even has a decent sound stage. A quiet luxury ride is there for daily driving and Sport+ changes the dynamics instantly if you want to have some spirited fun. For the price of a base, new Elantra, I'll take my 8 year old Lexus over a car like that any day. With 80,000 miles on it now, it will probably last longer than a new Elantra, too. My advice to anyone looking for one of these is to get the CarFax or go to the Lexus site to get the repair/maintenance history. My car was serviced on time for every service interval for the entire life of the car. At a Lexus dealer. Shows the previous 2 owners took care of it. It took me 6 months to find the right one due to lower availability of GS350s. At the time I bought it, there were only 3 used F Sports for sale within 250 miles of me. Enjoy your car, Eddie, and thanks for the videos!
Ahhhh thanks for your input and big congratulations on your GS 350 too. Totally agree with all your points. I was used to the turning radius on my IS which was even better but this one is pretty good too. It was hard to track mine down too. Thanks Cliff for watching. Like I said the GS community is welcoming and positive 😁
I love my 2018 GS 350 F, and it's so sad they killed it. I think the F sport needed some more lexury features, like having the same driver seat adjustment to the passenger seat, and at least heated back seats, side adjustment buttons on the passenger seat.
The lux package (2013-2017) had all those features, they definitely should have been available on the F Sport as well. The GS F comes standard with passenger memory seats.
I have a 13 which is my second GS. It’s fast enough for the street, looks good enough to get compliments. As long as I stay up with maintenance, the car will last a long time. You made a wise choice!
@@chikiman4230 the car does only use 93 which can be expensive depending on what state you live. City driving you can get 23 city if you drive reasonably. On the highway when I drove to Florida from Texas and back. I got 30 miles to a gallon with myself and two others in the car including bags in the trunk.
Great choice! I have the same car white on red, but a 2016. Bought it used three years ago & has been an incredible car. It does everything very well & is literally the car I've been waiting for. A very nice improvement overall from my 2017 IS200t F-Sport that it replaced. I've kept mine stock, but bought a bunch of accessories for the interior to match the color combo.
@@EddieGS350 Yes I do miss my IS. It was my first Lexus & I owned that car for only a little under two years & didn't want to replace it, but had to upgrade to a bigger car.
Just bought a 2020 gs350fsport 34000 miles I love it Paid cash don’t regret it at all fun to drive especially in sport + caviar black black interior I wanted the red interior but oh well
@level2es567 sticker price was $41,000 came out to $50,000 after taxes plus all the other add ons a little pricey I tried to talk them down a bit but they werent budging
Ahh BMWs are super fun. It would be hard for me to get attached to a car if it constantly gave me problems though. I’ve loved every other Lexus I’ve owned. Never gave me issues.
@@EddieGS350 I’ve never driven a rear drive GS, but living in Winnipeg, AWD is a very good thing to have. I would have the rear drive version if I lived where there was little or no snow however.
Although I had no prior loyalty to Lexus automobiles, I bought a 2018 GS 350 F Sport (new, AWD) for my wife as an anniversary gift, and love nearly everything about it! I couldn't agree with you more about the overall look and stance of the car, it looks SO good! Wish it had a bit more snap under the hood, and a slightly more aggressive tire/wheel combo, but the wife loves it as is, and that's what really matters!
Picked up a 2016 G350 F sport in 2021. At the time, it only had 28000 miles on it. Work is close to home, so now, I am at 39800. Just keeping the maintenance up and I should be fine. I had a Kia Stinger GT. That car was problem after problem. Fun to drive, but I had issues.
Ahhh dude. Everyone I know who had the stinger loves the way they drive. Got mad respect for the car. Sucks the quality is a bit miss. Hard to get attached to a car when you got issues with it. I actually was considering one for a bit. But I’ve always been a Lexus fan boy.
Hi you guys 👦. 16 gs 350 fsport awd. As soon as I bought front differential shaft leaked @105k. Now the passenger side air control door motor is busted/broken. Fml. Bought for reliability n already down 250$ w/ differential seal and now gotta fix temp control door motor 🤦♂️🤷♂️🙄
Brooo welcome to the party. Search servo motor recall on Google. You might be able to get it fixed for free. It says 7 years. You might be able to get it goodwilled and fixed for free.
Nice video love the enthusiasm. I agree with you about the handling (it's really fun to wrap around tight corners, in sport plus it feels like the car almost shrinks in size) and disagree about the ML stereo a bit. I feel like the sound is very clean, but not powerful or bassy. I appreciate how good music sounds whether it's loud or quiet. I don't listen to hip hop but if I did I think the power of the bass would be a bit disappointing. It's good for my old white guy tastes. The seats to me feel hard to the touch, but I never get uncomfortable sitting in this car - best seats of any car I've driven for any period of time. Looks wise I like the pre facelift look but I'm biased because that's what I have. I think the car looks great from side angles and from straight on in the front. It looks "worse" from straight on the back there's something weird about the exhaust tips and the rear diffuser. I' m tempted to black out the tips.
Ahhh thanks for watching! I heard they made the seats softer for the refresh. Surprisingly i think the bass is enough. But I feel like luxury branded car stereos are like wine. Everyone has their preferences. 😁
Hahah yeah of course 😁 I was waiting until you responded to the thread to tell you. There is some updated news on the PcV valve. Pretty cool you saw it in your own lol.
Ahh i recognized you right away. I’ve seen all your vids lol. How you like the RSR Best? Do you feel like the spring rate is too soft? I’ve heard a few complaints on that.
@@EddieGS350 Ah thats awesome! Its a huge jump in performance from stock and loads better than just springs but yes the rear spring rate could be stiffer. Its 9k where I think Tein AVS is 12k. Its not so soft to the point where I feel like I need to change it though.
Good video, I do agree on the Lexus community tho. Chill AF even on the F only group. I have the same GS just in red and have two more cylinder. Luv it so far.
Thanks for doing this video Eddie. I enjoy your videos. I have GS 350 2015. I want to upgrade my side mirror from manual to motorized. Can I do that to mine?
Dang it won’t be easy for it to be automatic. I wonder if you can find a Bluetooth controlled one so you don’t have to mess with switches. I’m glad you enjoy the vids!!
Honestly. RC F if you can swing the cost. Coming from a GS owner lol. This is good for a dd that has some personality but for a weekend toy I would do the Rc f. Gears are too tall in the GS to have fun.
Yeah, the handling at 35 mph is great on the canyon ! Why are you even talking about tailgating while being in a different area code than the car front of you ?
