I don’t know if many people know this or not, but when you hold down the traction control to ‘fully’ disable it, it’s not in reality actually fully disabled. VDIM is still active and will effect your ability to do a burnout or anything like that. On all GS’s, there’s a really unique procedure where you have to flip the parking brake back and forth and if you do it correctly the car will stay in fully disabled traction off with no way to turn it back on unless you run the car for 15-20 minutes and then turn it off to where it will default back to traction on. Very interesting, if curious on the specific procedure just look up Lexus GS F How to fully disable traction. Most of the videos on the subject are for GS F’s, but they work on 350’s also.
@@EddieGS350 Yep I’ve done it twice now I want to say it felt faster. I didn’t push the car very hard though, I want to push the car more but I don’t want to break something I’m already running a stage 1 tune which satisfies me. I’ve seen RU-vid videos of GS 350’s doing donuts and burnouts, and some of the comments mention this procedure.
@@EddieGS350 I have not done the evaporator cleaning on the F yet, but I will be soon! I just ordered all the fluids I need to service the rear differential and torque vector modules!
Great video! Thank you for your humor. It's too bad that something important like the diagnostic check isn't easier to get to. I guess mechanics figure it out. And now, all of us who watched your video!
I just got a GS 350 yesterday! It is gorgeous and I couldn't stop smiling after sitting in the front seat to give it a test run before buying. OMG, it was just an amazing feeling that I didn't get when trying the 2023 ES 300H or the ES 350 - both beautiful but neither put a smile on my face. Thanks for this video! I have so much to learn and I am off to a great start thanks to you!
Ahhhh congrats dude. Thanks for sharing that. That new car feeling is the best 😁😁 what’s funny too is most GS owners myself included end up loving the car more the longer we own it. It’s a weird feeling tbh but no complaints 😁😁😁
Thanks for the video Eddie! Didn’t know about the live radio rewind. I have a 2020 GS, and mine doesn’t have the grocery hook unfort. Also, I learned quite a bit from the GS Full Tutorial video posted by Northside Lexus. Your intro is sweet btw.
@@smooth_ops2942 I don’t, and don’t believe it’s standard. I think it’s part of the cold weather package that included a couple other options like headlamp washers.
@EddieGS350 Not sure if it's a secret, but between the front seats and center console is a little fabric wedge to keep things from falling below the seat. One of the best "hidden" features.
Great video man most of these features I had no clue of. I did see on YT you can change your turn signal blink to 3 different setting when you just tap it. Normal is 3 and you can up it to 5 or 7 blinks. I set it at 5 since I felt 7 was too much.
You can enable holding the unlock button on the remote to put the windows down if you have a copy of techstream. It was enabled by default in the older Lexus models, not sure why they turned it off.
You can also change the turn signal to blink more times than the default 3 times. And you can adjust the headlights which are low by default. I'm gonna be doing mine soon to be higher.
Eddie, glad I found your channel solely dedicated to the Lexus GS350. I might be buying one on Friday. 2016 Base trim with 137K miles on it. Regularly serviced with 2 minor accidents that don't seem to be too big of a deal. Hard to compare it against other local listings as it is hard to find. What do you think it is worth? Also, the radio console apparently does not work and needs to be fixed. However, the dealer said they would fix that but it will be factored into price of course.
Ahh thanks man!! Id test drive the hell out of it because it was in an accident. These cars are known to have weak steering racks. If you search 4th gs wandering you’ll see a lot of threads with people with steering issues. Hope you can find a good one!
Yeahh. I’ve been looking too. I think we are out of luck 😭😭 but even if we got it to work it turns off when you open the door unless you go aftermarket.
If you have the cold weather package there are heating elements at the bottom of the front windshield which defrosts the glass. You can change the start up menu splash screen to your own image. If you have the Sirius weather service it will warn you when there are tornado or weather warnings in the area.
I never knew they were adjustable. I think mine have been adjusted all the way forward since I bought the car. That has been my biggest complaint with the vehicle.
ahh dude keeping it old school! I wasn't even sure if you can still use the SAT anymore since everyone streams. So I have no idea how to program them. But there is a really cool feeling in letting a station pick your music for you. Listen to songs you haven't heard in a long time or even not at all. Thank you for watching!
