Why I don't Use "Apple Original" Batteries  

Only Apple Authorized repair centers have apple original batteries, but becoming one comes with so many downsides. If you have a solid supplier for batteries there isn't really any difference between aftermarket and original. Apple does not sell its parts, and the percentage of new "Apple Original" batteries on the market is so marginally small due to legal concerns that the chances of you obtaining one are extremely slim, let alone getting a solid supply. The "Fake" apple batteries are usually a lot worse than batteries branded under another company.

I remember a video where Louis rosman bought a bunch of genuine Apple batteries and then even though they were legit Apple tried to claim that they were fakes using their logo when in reality they weren't fake and apple was just trying to take them

If you rub a genuine apple battery with isopropyl, the logo and text would still come off.

Have you ever tried doing a battery test to see which battery comes closest to the original Apple battery and keeping track of the data the brand and the distributor would be of course very important?

Please show us how to shop for good quality parts online… especially screens. Can I trust eBay sellers listing a screen as genuine OEM? How can one tell just by looking at pictures?

The answer is quite simple…because Apple’s iPhone batteries are terrible. They last all of like 2 hours

As long as it's a good quality battery, it doesn't matter if it's "original" or not. Too bad we as consumers can't easily get to know if it's really good or not....

Very interesting fact, some suppliers that make non genuine parts and have the logo, cover it up with tape or removeable paint to reveal a permanent logo. I think it's a copyright lawsuit prevention thing and may even be for something about customs.

What makes it even funnier is that even when you have an actual apple device you probably won't be getting a genuine apple battery.

You can wipe off any of those logos. They're screenprinted. Just use acetone, methanol, isopropanol, etc.

Better to go for a brand that puts their name on their products, than a brand that tries to impersonate someone else.

Honestly it’s funny because even though I know full well that “Apple genuine batteries and screens” arepretty much using the same exact materials and parts as non-genuine parts except with an “official” Apple logo slapped on it. With that being said, it’s kinda weird for me to think that even I’d want to have the officially Apple branded parts over the non official ones. I guess you could say that the Apple’s notorious ecosystem lifestyle brand scheme has taken its toll on me for sure😂

You wiped off a bunch of the writing on that one. You’d need to try and wipe a genuine Apple battery and have it not wipe off for anyone to believe a word you said. Also, it depends on where you order it doesn’t it? I’d say, don’t use real Apple batteries because they cost four times as much.

Never buy replacement batteries on eBay or Amazon especially when they say upgraded capacity. There’s no such thing as an upgraded capacity battery for smart phones. The battery & capacity the phones came with is the maximum capacity & size the phone will handle. You can’t put a 5000mah battery in a phone that came with a 2200mah battery originally. It won’t fit in the phone just by size alone but the phones motherboard is not even calibrated to handle anything larger than what actually comes in it originally. I own a cell phone parts programmer with battery reader and not one battery from eBay or Amazon has ever been a true upgraded capacity and 99% of them weren’t even new batteries just old stock batteries that are 5+ yo with fake labels claiming new & high capacity so you pay $35 for a $2 battery & thats well past their safe to use date. anything older than 2yo is no longer safe to use in the phone as lithium ion batteries degrade when they sit uncharged.

i work at an apple service provider. we get our batteries and other parts directly from apple’s distribution centers. so, yes, genuine batteries do exist. you just need to be an ASP

Remember, you’re better off buying a battery labeled some random name with good ratings, than buying those that are “genuine” Apple (generally produced cheaper and trying to imitate Apple quality), unless you can SOMEHOW get ahold of OEM parts.

There's no such thing as Apple original spare parts available to actual repair providers, at least not new ones. Or maybe, "legit" ones. Once in a blue moon a handful of parts fall off a truck in China, but even then - they're really not much better than the proper high quality aftermarket/night shift parts. We'd use genuine Apple parts if they were available to buy. Or at least offer you a choice. But the vast majority of parts aren't even available to Apple Certified Partners. And of you become one, you're contractually forbidden from holding any 3rd party parts, or offering to do roughly 95% of the repairs people need. They do unannounced inspections and if you get caught out of that compliance, it's tens of thousands of dollars in contractual fines. Authorized partners can do screens and batteries - that's it, not even a charge port. And you can't stock any of those parts either, gotta register each customer, device and repair first, then order the part - just for that one repair. Then you pay a 5-10x the part price in deposit, which you only get back once you return the customer's old part and Apple confirm it's genuine. If that part turned out to be a knock-off, then you just lost $2.5-3 grand on a $399 screen replacement you initially made $50-70 on.

If it's from the same manufacturer, I wouldn't call it a knock-off.

Batteries from the IRP program aren’t that expensive, and are actually cheaper than aftermarket on iPhone 11 and up. You’re starting to mislead the public. Also I’d delete your videos of you using counterfeit Apple back glass. How can you support R2R when you are using counterfeit parts?

You could test the batteries bro, you can get some more machines to learn. Video idea for ya. Apple did announce recently they’re making new batteries available to customers with iPhone 12 or 13 only. They should support back to 7 at least. 2nd hand versions for anything less than 7 are bout the same I think. Those rich tightwads at Apple are starting to hear The Rossman Groups pleas for freedom!

Hey I got my iPhone XR screen replaced in India they didn’t put any screws in or glue I dropped my phone on a carpet and the ribbon cables broke Then I was checking inside the phone. There were panels missing and I am mystically Water on the battery and the Apple logo came off from the battery. I think they replaced my battery with a fake one because that phone was never opened.

Hi so the problem occurring is i m using iphone 5 (as a secondary device) on ios 10.3.4 with 99% battery health as checked on 3utools.. the problem is sometimes phone works perfectly fine other times i see a sudden drop example 80 to 60 in couple of minutes without usage If i am using the phone listening ti music it works fine Can you please help how can i fix this issue?

At UBREAKIFIX we offer the original apple screens and batteries , we charge a premium of course more than what apple charges on their website. We also do insurance repairs for "Asurion" which gives us access to apples software to calibrate the screens and batteries to iPhones. Same with Samsung devices we have access to original parts and have the equipment and software to get the device back into factory specs!!!

What's funny is that imitators have got so good at making knockoffs that they used the same machines and even people to produce this imitations, and the quality is sometimes exactly the same and also with the enormous demand that exist the quality even exceed the original product ,I have a friend that bough a pair of yeezys from China and I compared them with my original pair, literally the copy don't have glue marks and some seams are done with much more care ,like wtf?...other than that they were well...not much better but sure very well made ,and 3 times cheaper

New iPhones (since iPhone X)have updated software that fucks up your phone once you replace the battery, screen, or camera. Genuine apple part or not, try repairing your phone and see what happens. If you don’t go straight to the Apple store go ahead and trash it. Phone repair guys have to find a way to combat that software to stay alive. I promise I just gave some of you phone guys the keys right there. 😪

Manufacturers will sell them on the side and some for Apple. So basically the cheap knock off and "the original" are the same. It's all marketing.
