Why I don't want to be financially free

I know this might sound strange, but I’d rather not chase financial freedom, and I think you shouldn't either. I think in order to actually be “free” we need to live our purpose and love what we do everyday.

I think you almost hit the point, actually. It’s not the financial freedom itself that generates the feeling of emptiness. Those people always had them, however they were so worried about grinding to survive/reach something that they didn’t feel it. Therefore, I still defend people should totally aim for financial freedom for sure! In my case, my goals aren’t attached to a lifestyle, but having time for family, helping others, be a contributing person for my community, etc. I like my job, but I could definitely use the time more wisely towards things that would generate everlasting happiness for me (like being there for other people).

Given somehow the direction of your thoughts, I would highly recommend your read Adler, the philosopher. One book that’s great on him is “the courage to be disliked”

That’s a great way to think about things! So much happier spending my time being process oriented (enjoying the process) rather than singularly focusing on goals.

Financial freedom is different for everybody . It really depends on your lifestyle and needs. Everybody is different.

I had that mindset but I found a job that pays well, 4 days off for my masters and future business. Lemme have my necessities covered, savings and vacations (which I have) I’m pretty content w life. Which allows me to work on my future business. A lot of work but that’s okay
