I am from China, English is not my mother tongue, and your speaking speed is not slow, I don't know why but I can understand every word you express, you are awesome
I agree about the sizing of things. I own a Ford ranger because I love small trucks; legit small pickup trucks don't exist anymore. It's a complete bummer! Also, best of luck to those who enter to win the 6400. I love my original Canon M and am sticking with it.
Your a good guy Marcus. Love the channel and your enthusiasm and efforts. Photography is a career of mine, has been for 20 years.... and I wish i ran into more of my peers with your positivity. Its a small world, perhaps we'll run into each other someday. Keep it going. Thanks.
I don’t have that problem with my A6400 Do you have the review feature on? I have it off and just play the image I want to see which is not every single one. You can trust the autofocus. Love the channel keep up the great work and don’t stress. I thought you were gonna get something live on the video 😜
Great video! Finally someone that speaks from their mind and not a script. You can tell that you've spent time with both and really know what is better. I want to get the a6400 for half video/half stills, but its a tad out of my price range. The a6300 would be fine, but the overheating is the only thing thats worrying me.
I hadn't heard about the blurry image review, very interesting "feature". Makes me wonder if it's common. Also interesting that you leave image review on, I didn't expect to hear that. It does make perfect sense...and I should really do it too.
Everyone should subscribe to your channels. You're always positive and uplifting. Truly an inspiration and have been for many years. To this day I eat dandelion because of you. I remember the first time I tried it, my family thought I was nuts Haha! Very bitter but I always feel better after. Wish everyone knew about them and your green formula. Honestly I don't know how you do so much. Much love!
I totally understand what you mean. The feel of using. Feeling great to use must be thing to enjoy and love. I even notice how buttons sound, how item feels in hand etc. materials, sounds and smell.
Hi Markus Love the channel. I swapped two A6500 for two A6400 cause I do as much video as stills. Also using vintage lenses more as I find manual focus is still faster as models don't move that far that I can't say "hold it" or whatever if I need to make a tiny change in focus. I keep focus peaking on but ignore it if I want, Some of the best and classic fashion photography was done on manual focus. I don't shoot check ,shoot check it's too slow. I started on film and you relied on your eyes, you just shoot and make sure your in focus before you take the shot, not after. For me the ability to be able to focus on what you want and not rely on a the camera locking on the eyes is part of good photography. We have got this idea pictures must be tack sharp like it was taken by a robot and judge pictures often by a criteria that's more technical than it is artistic. Maybe I'm just old school as I remember shooting on Pentax 6x7 and cameras weren't judged just by their sharpness. Keep up the good work. My fav channel right next to camera conspiracies
I just wanted to say I also was frustrated the a6400 viewfinder being very soft. I found there is actually a viewfinder resolution setting in the menu which makes it the same as the a6500 again, I was so relieved when I found it, I love the camera again now 🤣 I also found after a lot of testing the 'deep' picture profile gives a very pleasing kodacrome style image.
why not post how to change it here for anyone who has the camera and would like to? I don't own the camera myself but just thought it'd be a helpful thing for others.
One more demonstration that your opinion is frankly valid. It's undoubtedly your honest opinion. Pure and Raw. Not jpeg. One more reason for me to enjoy watching your videos. Always your honest opinion, P and Raw.
Great tips Markus, but in overalls for video. The a6400 is nonetheless a great bang for your bucks to go for this system. thanks for the generosity again Markus. good luck to all the entry
Thanks for the info about the review in photo. No one did ever say that problem about the photo review coming out blurry. Congratz to the winner of the a6400
I love how you helped camera Conspiracies. That was awesome. I need the 6400 in my life for my Facebook livestreams. And it would really inspire me to work on RU-vid.
Totally agree... if it doesn't work for you, move on. I like that you're content with what you have... a rare quality. For me I dont use the instant review for another reason. I have found that the sony nails focus most of the time. During the shoot I will change aperture or some other settings to get a different look and I do so without looking at the back of the camera because I know where my controls are. When instant review is on I end up zooming or moving the review picture around rather than changing the setting. So I decided I'll only review when I want to do so, but that's just me.
@@MarkusPixHi there would you recommend the A6300 as capable of shooting a wedding ? Photography only ! Or would a used full frame DSLR be a better option ? I’m new and on a budget to start with.
Thanks for the important info on the A6400. The Rav4 was a great example. I thought they were cute when they first came out, but they're just like every other mid-size SUV now. Super-funny bit at the end, when you were talking about friends.
I was just hoping for a a6400 for videos. I m an Uber driver in Chicago and trying to save money for this. This is perfect that you are giving this away to us subscribers/fans. Thank you in advance in case my luck will make you pick me. Learn a lot from your videos, appreciate your great work.
Thanks for the video, I was looking at upgrading to the a6400 but now seeing this I may just stock to my Sony NEX6 and by the way I care as I take photos so I am not a vlogger.
I hate how so many reviews out there are biased and omit important details. Happy to see a giveaway available outside the US!!! I couldn't enter the last one, you're a kind man Markus, I hope i win :D
Happy is the day I found this channel! You are awesome my friend - honest, smart, and funny! I am still reviewing cameras to find the one to fit my next motorcycle journey. This is where I will find my answer...I think.
WOW!! That would be frustrating, specially if you doing a fashion shoot. Normally you are very positive and uplifting. That is why I enjoy your videos, along with your creativity, and fab photos you capture.
Dear Markus, I can feel your pain but I never use the preview picture feature. I just spray and pray. That is the right approach with fast moving subjects.
I wish more reviewers would point out the flaws like this. They would become much more believable when they rave about the good points. It would also help manufacturers realize when they made a mistake.
That lack of good instant review is why I did NOT go with some of canon’s later offerings. In their case it goes black for a while AFTER a moment etc. Annoying as hell! I’ve not seen this info about a6400 anywhere, super helpful review here!!
I finally got the a6300 with 4 lenses for 750 soooo stoked. Gonna be a handy dandy. I am a canon and sony user....love the show don't ever quit!!!! Peace
yea, I thought I would want the 6400 but I think ill just stick with my a6300 for now. I'm really saving for my dream setup. a7iii with the 85mm, 70-200mm, and 200-600mm
Thank you for the honest video! I’ve seen a lot of video reviews on this camera from people that were invited by the manufacturer to these “events”. Hard to fully trust what they say, plus no one has every mentioned this flaw. We have a new channel and have and old camcorder we shoot with. We have been looking to upgrade for video. This would help big time. As a golfer/vlogger I understand that you must use what you feel is the best for you!
I agree with you 100%, I do not use the picture preview due I review my images Little but later using the PLAY button but!!! It is a function and should work, and yes, it is about the same exact camera than the Sone a6300 you sent me which is A GREEEEAAAAT CAMERA!
I have used long time my A6300 and switched to A7iii, I have the same feeling, that something is going wrong and that my older A6300 has made better pictures. But in the Lightroom all pictures are fine and pretty sharp...
At least for brazilians, there is a thing called "grabr", which is kind of an uber for imported items... and it's pretty cheap and reliable for stuff like this that doesn't weight a ton.
That issue with the a6400 is something I never heard of but I trust your honesty... loved my a6500. You spoke of auto focus speed and I've been totally sold on the a9 with it's latest firmware installed. I would love for you to test one and see what you think as it is a totally different animal altogether and I use it for Boudoir as well as Fashion work. I used to shoot with my a7riii (now just sits on the shelf now).
What country are you in? I'm in the USA, and afaik, customs doesn't charge on incoming from outside here. I've been sent plenty of things for free and that I purchased, from several overseas countries, and never once had to deal with customs/import duty fees. I definitely need a major upgrade, though, been using a Canon PowerShot SX160 IS for a good 5-6 years now, for vlogging, review videos, miniatures photography, and still shots for stop-motion animation, and boy howdy is it ever showing it's age. Talk about limited quality, heh. Thanks for the giveaway, I hope to be able to enter asap! Also, keep up the awesomeness, both of you!
bro,, love your feed! it helped me decide accurately on the 6300! Im switching over from Lumix to Sony . Have noticed the same ( if you have owned one) on the 6100? thanks man!
I kind of wish the viewfinder would tuck away or you could turn it up, or something, so the a6400 would allow the flip screen to be better positioned. But even better, if it flipped out to the side I'd be as happy as anyone. I stuck to my a6500, mostly due to IBIS. And I'm not gaining much if I ordered the a6600.
yes the best viewfinder that turns up with sideways flippie screen setup is still the Panasonic GX8 ...I guess it costs too much to make more like that
I can see where the preview issue would be a real issue for you with your being primarily a still shooter. I don't think I could live with that either. Interesting eval of the a6400. I'm using a5100's for video and can't see a reason to upgrade. I've got a great flip screen, touch focus and the auto-focus makes it great on a gimbal. It's perfect for my RU-vid channel. Sometimes the newest stuff isn't the stuff that works best ...
M I the only one left in the world taking pictures??" 🙂🙂 u gave me a smile. I guess maybe the only that is not getting bribed by Sony and says what is true. ut i understand exactly what u saying. In my case though i got to this video searching for a comparison on video shooting capacity/ quality between the 2 camera as i own a 6300 i already know about overheating and recording time limit problems solved in the 6400 but i want find out if the quality and capacity improved like shooting 4k at 50 and 60fps. But thank u very much cause i really learned something new about the 6400.
Tjey shoukd have done the flipup like my a5100. More solid feel to it. The time i bought my sony, i had to get a gimbal with it, causing my budget to be a5100. Got a 2nd hand zhiyun crame m. The only problem is it over heats easily. Only fix to get another 5mins shot is to restart the cam everytime it over heats, i just make sure i always restart the cam when its already hot so i know itll give me 5min max recording.
I love watching you take pictures of your girlfriend Kara. (I hope I spelled that correctly.) Loving the slo mo of her hair flying. Of course I'm watching this 6 months too late. lol I have a question. I'm of course on a small budget (hey I'm retired not working and have a lot of time on my hands) but I'm making a life changing move. I've a created a puppet stage about 6 feet by 10 feet in my home studio to showcase my music. I've bought black curtains, for the sides and a green screen on the wall behind the black curtain for editing in other videos along with the show. I used mic stands to attach 100w dimmable lights with mesh covers and 4 ft fluorescent lights for the green screen lighting and mini spot lights mounted on the ceiling about 12 feet from the wooden stage. My 6 foot stage is 4 feet high and I'm going to be underneath to control the puppets. So far I've ordered a small motorized slider and I have all the puppets staged with professionally scaled instruments to perform and ready to shoot. My only problem is the video camera's. I am using a Go Pro 3+ and another small Chinese bought Minigo camera. My question is should I shoot with these 2 camera's (1080p) or try to get my resources together to buy a worthy camera to video the performances. What would you suggest would be the best affordable camera to use for my project. I've been watching your videos for some time and you have many creative ideas and are very knowledgeable about cameras and how to use them. I want to make the most professional looking video (also impressive as well) so if something happens and I get the Covid 19 virus and die I will finally have a worthy project to remember me to future family and audiences. Thanks for any input you may give. Stay safe...
Sorry I missed this giveaway but I've just got wind of your channel a couple of weeks back. I really love your fast paced videos with TONs of tips and suggestions to improve portrait photography and photography in general so thank you very much for what you do!.
