So wait. You loved the Prime 4, but you got rid of it to step down to teach the kids on a Mixtrack? The Mixtrack runs the same software and it only costs $600. You could have kept the P4 and you and anyone with a job could have saved up for two months to get the Mixtrack and had both. One to teach the kids and one for yourself. And as for turntables, I have my 1200's plugged into my Prime 4. None of this makes sense. If you didn't like it, I get that but you could have just said that. You didn't need to make a video about how you didn't want to use the Prime 4 anymore and wanted to go back to tables while buying a lesser version of what you already had. Make it make sense...
I WAS gonna say This…But THANK YOU for saying it First. It doesn’t make sense to say you got rid of the Prime 4 to teach the Kids. The Title makes it seem like HE didn’t like Prime 4 for whatever reason. I’d never get rid knowing all of what it can do. He wasted Money and then goes into speaking about Macs 🤔😐🤔
My issue is that both Apple and Microsoft are always updating their operating systems to fix vulnerabilities which is a good thing. But for a DJ performer it causes a lot of problems where you can never really predict that your laptop is going to be stable. Additionally, the Prime 4 is just a beast from a connectivity standpoint. I agree with you about hte effects, but I was able to get Echo and Flanger to work simultaneously which is all I basically use. I like having a solid dedicated platform that just works. Cheers!
There was other personal reasons why I got rid of the controller. A controller or any piece of gear is just that it doesn't make you the dj. A real dj can dj on anything no matter how high end or how low end of gear you use. Most pro djs will out shine anyone if they using a pioneer sb3 or a cdj 3000s. So yeah sometimes down grading for a greater purpose is not a big L to all. I don't regret getting rid of my prime 4 because I can still do everything with turntables which I prefer using over the prime 4. It just hard ware everyone has their own reasons.
No it was just time I wanted to upgrade to something different. I wanted to sell my prime 4 for new set up so I did. Plus wanted get more stuff for music production.
i did exactly this. I have the Prime 4 and bought the Numark, i've had a controller fail me in the past so I decided to buy a basic backup controller i can throw into a backpack just in case my main breaks down during a gig
I'll never get rid of my X ever lol. The denon was alright I started having minor problems like cross fader curve and and my hard drive showing corrupted even though it wasn't. Idk just got over it plus I like to simplify my setups just give me two turntable and a mic I'm good or smaller two channel controller. I'm not djn huge clubs any more I do mostly small events now compare to what I use to. When I do a bigger venue they usually already have cdjs so don't even need bring gear with me
